Well, what a terrible experience today. I've been to the establishment twice before for bloody…read moreMary's and had a great time and the bloody Mary's we're fantastic. However, today was a complete disaster from the moment we walked in the door. This was all based on our waitress. Not sure if she's quite all there. So rude it's hard to explain. I asked for my burger medium rare and she laughed in my face. Said we do them red and then it came well done. No lettuce, onion or tomato. Just a dry burger on a bun. I then asked for mayonnaise, and she laughed in my face again. She huffed off and brought me a little container of mayonnaise with no utensils. We ordered our drinks and we had to go up to the bar to ask her for them. She brought my son's soda to the wrong table. We had to ask for water three times, and again she laughed in our face and huffed off. The most serious part is, my son has a life-threatening, severe peanut allergy. He does an excellent job asking wait staff about peanut oil. He very politely asked the waitress, "What type of oil do you cook your french fries in?" The first two times he asked her she just smiled at him and turned around and walked away. When she brought the food, he asked her again and she said we use the regular kind of oil and it's illegal for restaurants to use peanut oil. My son told her that's not true and restaurants frequently use peanut oil and to please go back and look at the container. Her response was we don't know what kind of oil it is. Don't go.

If your thinking of going here, it's a good choice. However, make sure you make a reservation (or…read moreyou might get turned away)! Now, the important stuff. I want to give a 4.5 to the restaurant, but we know Yelp doesn't work in half stars. I'm giving four stars because the restaurant is just under the 4.5 rating. The service we received throughout our visit was was good. The bartender (owner) poured good drinks and even told a couple jokes. Our waitress was on the money with our table and the tables around us. The drinks were good; however, seemed a little pricey compared to many other Wisconsin supper clubs. The bar area serves as the waiting area before entering the dining room. The food was very good. Three of the four in our group had the prime rib. Each had it cooked to a different level. Each said it was cooked perfectly. I had the big, cowboy ribeye. It was done as requested (medium rare), was tender and had very good flavor. There is no salad bar and unlike many other restaurants, soup and salad are options for your meal (two choices and a small basket of bread). I'd have liked to have the soup and salad automatically included. To me, potatoes and vegetables are options, not soup or salad. My French onion soup had a great rich broth; I'd have liked it to have more onions, croutons and cheese for substance. The salads were fresh but very pedestrian in appearance. I spoke to someone in the bar who is a regular. They said everything on the menu is good. I believe them. A few improvements and the place is a solid five star! Will we make the long drive back? You betcha!

The facility is nice and the staff seemed friendly but that's where it stopped. I ordered the Ribeye and my wife got Salmon. My steak was worse than one I would buy at Walmart and cooked without seasoning. Zero flavor and I could only eat about half and felt sick to my stomach the rest of the night. My wife said her salmon was okay and nothing to write home about. Oh, the worse part...our drinks were empty when the food came and no refills, so we choked down our food with nothing to drink. For $90.00 we should have went elsewhere. We're pretty easy to please (see our other reviews) but this place was extremely disappointing.

We started off with the chili beer cheese totchos, which came out pretty quickly. They were very flavorful and everyone enjoyed them. It took a long time for our entrees to come out. It eventually got awkward as the dining room we were in nearly emptied completely, except for one other table that ordered right after us. I had the ribeye, medium rare, with garlic parmesan fries and mac & cheese. The ribeye needed more seasoning and some areas that were seared/charred literally hurt my teeth to chew. My mom ordered the honey bourbon chicken & shrimp and she was sooooo happy with it that she talked about it for two days. My husband had the chicken marsala pasta with crispy chicken and he felt it had been sitting in the window for a while as it was barely warm. Now, we finished eating, got to-go boxes, paid, and as we were leaving the guys next to us that ordered right after us still didn't have their entrees, so there were definitely some issues with the kitchen that night. I guess maybe I'd go for lunch next time and hope it's different during the day.

I walked up to the bar, was greeted by a woman with a sour look on her face, and ordered a non-alcoholic Bloody Mary. I asked for it to be spicy. I've been ordering these drinks with and without alcohol for about 40 years now: This was the only undrinkable one I've encountered. It tasted like Red Hot on the rocks. I took a couple of sips and had to go throw up in the bathroom. Not kidding. My stomach and mouth were on fire. I'm still sick over an hour later. The two people I was with ordered food and were happy with it. I only had this horrible drink. When the waitress came back a couple of times, my full drink sat in front of me. She didn't ask if something was wrong with it. The second time she came back to the table I told her she could take the drink, that it was not drinkable. She said their mix is hot. Understatement of the year! There aren't a lot of people up north who like things spicy. I, however, do. She was kind enough to leave the full glass and bring a bill for $8.50. I paid it. On the way out, I handed the full drink to the sour faced lady that had originally "greeted" me at the bar. I told her it was so hot that it was undrinkable. No offer of a refund. I told her it was a nice way to spend $8.50. Now I remember why we stopped going here.
