Scrambled eggs and thick ham slices that came with 2 potato pancakes.

We hit this place up for breakfast on our way out of town. We are glad we did as it was fabulous. Just a little country breakfast place with elevated food. I had two potato pancakes and I knew I was in trouble when they came out and covered the whole plate as did the regular pancakes. I ordered ham which was two thick slices, almost pork chop size and scrambled eggs. I also ordered a side of applesauce to go with my potato pancakes. I had two more meals off this and still couldn't finish it all. The same for my husband. I had also ordered a hot chocolate which hit the spot on a cool morning.

Food and service were awesome. True Wisconsin Bloody Marys as they came with sidecar's of beer. My wife had the potato pancakes and they were larger than the plate. Great staple in the North Woods!

5/5 stars all around. Cute diner feel, there's water across the road, coffee was good, food was amazing - the chorizo was spicier than some Mexican restaurants! And our server was phenomenal. Definitely a new favorite breakfast spot for the area.

Bright blue building. Quick seating and ordering for a 10 am breakfast. Huge menu. Some outdoor seating. Standard good breakfast fair but also a "boater's lunch" which is a sack lunch made to order.

I had the wild rice and ham omlet. Apples and toast. Everything was great! Other person ordered an omlet also. We really liked everything. We hadn't been here in a while....we will go more regularly now. Huge menu, big portions, come hungry! I give it a 4 to 4.5.... as there are no halfs. :)

This restaurant is wildly popular and often has quite a wait. For a Northwoods restaurant it is definitely above average, although I wouldn't say great. I have been here for breakfast several times and between my husband and our friends, we have tried most everything. The variety of breakfast options is pretty impressive with omelettes, potato pancakes, all sorts of egg dishes, chorizo hash, fench toast, and tons more. We have always been happy with our food. My fave is just the simple eggs and sausage because it's actually much more than that. You get a side of hash browns, or breakfast fries (crispy and delish!) Or Cajun potatoes or cheesy grits. Wow. All good. The breakfast portions are quite large so if u r not that hungry, you are taking home leftovers. Check this place out. I think you are going to like it.

Not only is the…read morefood just simply amazing every single time, but the owners care so much about their customers. People say that on Yelp all the time, but Dawn and Jimmy at The Rail Trail Cafe are two amazing people who have done so much for the small town of Ogema as they welcome their patrons as if they are guests in their home. I adore them both, and when I visit the restaurant with my family, I feel like it's a cozy family meal more than it is "eating at a restaurant." It's an exceedingly difficult task to capture this vibe, but the fantastic owners do this with signature style. To say they are an asset to the town does not do their dedication justice...they are both much more than that. They are amazing community members, and I am so happy every time I see the place busy, which is often because the food is baller. If you are local, you will always see a friend there, and if you are not local, I dare you to leave without having met a new friend. Crazy great service, plus amazing eats, are all you need to know! The Rail Trail Cafe in Ogema does not knock it out of the park, they are the park! LOVE this place! Even if you are just passing through, do not be remiss and cheat yourself out of this unique charm.

Clam Lake Classic!…read more 3.5 stars, but rounding up for the horseradish sauce! Clearly there are some issues with this place, but considering where it is (middle of nowhere and a 20 minute drive to your next best option), I'm willing to look the other way on certain things. First of all, the bar is awesome. There is LOTS of antler themed light fixtures, NRA-themed decor, and even some pro-Trump paraphernalia thrown in to remind you where you are. Aside from that, beer at the bar was cheap and conversation was good. We dined on a Saturday night suckered in by the temptation of smoked prime rib. After some discussion with the chef/owner, we discovered that there was no horseradish sauce in the house. Oh no!! Not to disappoint, the chef jotted off to the connivence across the road to pick some up. He whipped up a great sauce in a jiffy. Sorry, but Prime Rib is nothing without a good horseradish sauce! I loved the subtle smokiness of the meat. It had a great crust, but the cut was very fatty. For $24.95 with soup/salad bar, it was a bit pricey. At 16.95 I would not complain, but I suppose they gotta keep the lights on. For as up-north cool as the bar was, the dining room is pretty terrible. It could definitely stand some remodeling, but I think we all know that's not gonna happen.
