Mr. Kleiner's story is an amazing story and while Incan spotlight it here in my review, I would challenge you to read more about Mr. Kleiner next one you visit this stunning park. JMK Memorial Park is a stunning gem for Meridian and the Treasure Valley. We are so fortunate to have the wide open spaces of JMK right in our backyard. There are plenty of walk ways, green spaces, play areas, and places to fish. Every time I visit JMK Memorial Park, I always seem to find something new that I missed on my last walk. My Husky, Kody, loves coming here and visiting with all the people. He's such a flirt and a diva. I can imagine him sitting on the bench overlooking the pond with the fountain and reading Voltaire and flirting with a French Poodle. My only grip about JMK Memorial Park is the over abundance of waste from the Canadian Geese. It's everywhere. It's such a shame many areas of the park are littered with their waste and I am fairly certain, there's little that can be done about it. If only the Canadian geese would pick up afterwards or use lay their waste in a particular area that were not using, they would be awesome but that's not going to happen. We'll just have to live with them and they'll have to live with us. I think Mr. Kleiner would want it to be that way.

Great park, with a splash pad for kids to enjoy. It's next to the village so you can easily grab lunch and have a picnic. Parking is great! Lots of covered area to sit in the shade. Highly recommend!

Big, Beautiful Park! Kleiner Park has something for everyone -- from Jogging/Walking Paths to Children's Playgrounds, from Disc Golf to Bocce Ball and Basketball, from Fishing to large Pavilions and more! The location is great, right next to The Village at Meridian. I also like the slow-speed, one-way traffic route that circles through the park, thus allowing you to get close to your desired area without carrying all your stuff for a long distance. The small hills add a feeling of expansive space while the fountains in the ponds keep the water looking fresh. I rate this park as a local treasure.

Had a great time at this park is huge

This is a great new park in Meridian right next to the Village of Meridian. They really put a lot of thought into this park and have a little of everything for just about any situation. The playground for the kids is really cool and modern, there is a place for the kids to play in the water, bocce ball, basket ball, a very nice walking path, a couple ponds, and an amphitheater. This summer they have started using the amphitheater to do concerts in the park which are really fun. They have vendors there so you can buy food and they allow alcoholic beverages in the amphitheater so you can enjoy a cold one wail listing to the band. My wife and I had a great time and will definitely be going back. The best part is that the play ground is right next to the amphitheater so our kids can go play and still be in eye sight wail we enjoy the concert. It really is a great evening out.

Beautiful park. Kind of a pain to get there with the predictable bad traffic on Eagle road, but it's pretty awesome.

Yes, there are two - one for large dogs and one for smaller dogs. Not only that, but we also walk them around the full park until they've had enough exercise. Discovery park mixes all the fabulous things of a traditional park with educational pieces about Idaho. The play structure is great. It has usual bits like slides and nets to climb, but it also has funky bridges, musical components and a variety of ladders. There are two very long zip lines with the attached seat, making it perfect for all ages. (Yes even my 32 year old husband thought it was amazing) There are these super fun roller slides that are fun for older kids to try and climb, but also littles who don't like to go too fast on a slide. I love that this is the rubberized surface. When you have an early walker, this is the best type of park to go to. Behind the play structure is the best part of this park. They have a water feature to help kids learn about Idaho rivers! Kids can play in the sand, dig ditches and levies and divert water streams. There is also a traditional splash pad around the side. There are three covered picnic areas, large bathrooms and plenty of parking. This is a wonderful new park addition to our community!

But today, today I got to check out the café. I got an invite to have lunch with my MIL and her girl gang. Of course I couldn't say no. Unfortunately we came on a day that a lot of the staff wasn't in. So, a portion of the café was closed. I guess thier entrée selection at lunch is on point. And the day I decided to come was the day I couldn't check it out. It's all good! We made do with what was available. My MIL and her girlfriends headed towards the salad bar. I decided on a burger. The chef that was working was so kind! I got a double patty bunless burger with cheese. I asked for it to be freshly made and made well done. "Piece" of cake the chef said and started on my burger. I would have loved to add the lettuce, tomato and pickles but unfortunately I couldn't since it was available to everyone. But I'm always down for just the patties with extra cheese. While my burger was being made, I got to check out the venue downstairs. I love the dim lights that are hung in another part of the area. It's so romantic and cozy. There were a couple spots for food and I believe coffee. I didn't want to be gone too long but it's cool I got to peep it out. I'll have to see if it's coffee shop next time. An afternoon caffeinated beverage is always a good idea. I headed back and grabbed my burger. It looked fabulous! The gentleman that checked me out was kind and grabbed me a fresh set of plastic ware since I can't really use communal. I appreciate how kind they both were. My burger was extra cheesy and really well done. It was a little dry but ketchup, mustard and relish took care of that problem. I needed it well done so it wasn't on the chef. It just had to be cooked that way. And I ate the whole thing. Lunch was chill with my MIL and her friends. I did get to peep out all the huge Scentsy buddies on the way out. Who needs a bed when you can just rally a few of those buddies and pass out. I would in a heart beat! I just need 3 and my bed would be complete. I have yet to check out the lights during the holidays. That's on my to do list this Christmas. I look forward to experiencing it. This venue is so pretty, the landscaping here is always on point. The staff that helped me today was so kind. I look forward to coming back to have another burger and see what other goodies I can check out.

We were one of the first three original model homes for the Champion Park subdivision and 12 years later, we're still here. The park has really matured from the time it was simply a dirt rectangle. First came the saplings and then the grass. Shortly thereafter, a playground was installed. Later, fencing around the peripheral of the park closed the park to the backyards of the many home owners. The basketball court and picnic shelter came in and lastly the doggie bag holders and multiple trash receptacles completed the parks accessories. I never thought about checking into my park. I naturally assumed someone had a created a Yelp listing for it but that was not the case. So one early morning Saturday, I went to check into my park and it wasn't found on Yelp. I decided take action and give Champion Park it's Champion due. It's a great park that's home to any number of dog walkers and folks who simply want a stroll. The berms and grass is politely manicured and everyone who takes care of the park does so with such care. A couple of reminders. Park is open from dawn to dusk. Once the sun goes down, park is closed No Smoking on the park grounds. I wish this was enforced a little more Dogs have to be on a leash and you have to pick up after your pooch. Again this needs to be enforced more as well Lastly in the NE corner of the park is a irrigation pond, please do not let your kiddos and your dogs go swimming in there. It's really not clean. Oh by the way don't throw rocks into the pond or near the wildlife. Take a championship stroll through Champion Park. You'll feel like you won the Super Bowl.
