Mom has a lovely private residence and enjoys joining others in the dining room for wonderfully-prepared meals and in the living areas for music, movies, pet visits, and a host of activities. She has access to her beloved Catholic Services and Communion. There are plenty of opportunities for conversation and attention! Laundry service and a hair salon are on site, as well as an ice cream parlor, and there are attractive, accessible grounds to walk and appreciate. SLT staff members are professional, friendly, and most caring! It is a relief for our family to know that there is 24-hour care available for Mom if needed. When family and friends visit, they experience the warm, family-like, welcoming atmosphere that Mom enjoys daily - such a plus! SLT allows its residents to age with dignity, a critically important aspect of an assisted living facility. The location of SLT is convenient to churches, parks, Seneca Lake, restaurants, shopping, the Geneva Public Library, doctors and dentists, Geneva General and F.F. Thompson Hospitals, and lectures and more at Finger Lakes Community College and Hobart and William Smith Colleges.

The semi-private rooms are spacious. It doesn't make you feel like you are putting your loved one in assisted living. You are placing them into a 'community' where they can make new friends or catch up with old ones. Seneca Lake Terrace provides excellent care for our mom. We live out of state which makes it difficult to visit. The staff keeps in touch on a regular basis to keep us updated on our mom's health, doctor appointments, and general overall health. They offer daily activities which you can or not participate in, it is totally up to the individual. They even have a hair salon. If you are considering placing your loved one in assisted living, I would highly recommend Seneca Lake Terrace.

My treatment was with Tim - such a warm and inviting doctor. I was a bit wary of the community setting (it seemed a bit uncomfortable to me that others would hear our conversation), but Tim spoke softly to maintain privacy. I think they also have a spare room for private treatments. Frankly, I think sharing the experience with the 6 other people added to my experience. Everyone was respectful of each others treatments. So incredible. With the sliding scale payment scheme, I can definitely afford to have frequent visits. This is particularly helpful for me since I have a history of joint and muscle injuries that take a bit more time to treat. There's a $10 fee for the first visit, then it's $15-$35 a session, depending on what you can afford. What a remarkable way to offer treatment! I made my appointment via their website - totally easy process. Oh, and it's cash or check only, but Alternatives is right around the corner. The pilates classes work miracles for back pain and other body aches and pains that start up after age 50. This space is warm and welcoming and all the instructors have been wonderful while also being completely unique in their focus and delivery. I started January with the unlimited membership (which I highly recommend) so I've taken Facial Refresh, Core XIIT, Pilates (mat) and TRX classes. Each class and each instructor has something different to offer, and with the small class sizes you feel like a part of the community immediately. From week to week the instructors remember specific injuries (to recommend modifications), goals and other pieces that are so important to substantial growth in strength and stamina. The online system is very easy to use to sign up for classes and the cancellation policy is extremely fair. Being right in the heart of Fall Creek with ample parking, the commute there is never a problem. In addition, the class times are perfect for my schedule and they have so many various classes to offer, it's so much more than just Pilates! Finally, they even have online classes if you can't make it in-person on a specific day, which I have also used and found to be extremely beneficial. I really can't recommend Vellidan enough. As a mom of two young children, this was the reminder I needed that feeling strong doesn't need to mean high intensity workouts with guaranteed injuries. Pilates is highly focused core work that is low intensity with a laser focus on correct form rather than overexertion. In just one month I already feel stronger and can feel my balance and core strength improving significantly. Thanks to Tori and the wonderful and knowledgeable instructors at Vellidan for providing such an important service to the downtown area!

After our beloved pediatrician moved away, we had to find another place (the ones left at her facility were awful and we tried the other "big" Peds in town and they were dreadful). We see Carolyn Koppel, and besides being incredibly kind and patient with me and my kids, she's also very good at what she does. We've seen Dr Lambert for several sick visits and his bedside manner isn't quite as down to earth but he's still kind enough, and he's very smart and good at what he does. He diagnosed my daughter with a rare GI issue as a baby (called FPIES) and I trust him as well as Caroline, and I trust no one. I can't speak for the other practitioners there though, as we've somehow managed to pretty much only see those two, but I've heard nothing but good things about them all from my fellow parent friends.
