I spoke to Jim on the phone to book the service, and he was really friendly and helpful. He said his wife Rose would be in touch with a quote after I texted some pictures of the room. I don't know who I was texting with in the end. They quoted me $100. The two workers arrived right on time, were very polite, and did a beautiful job! However, they spoke no English and used a phone app to communicate. (You speak into the phone, they read the Portuguese that's generated, then they speak into the phone and it spits out English. Who knows how accurate it is.) I lived in a foreign country for 6 years and while I wasn't fluent, I had basic proficiency in the language... admittedly I worked in an industry where people spoke English, but for day-to-day things I was glad I could read and handle basic conversations. (This was pre-smart phone.) I'd love to hire Rose's Cleaning for their organizing service, but can't imagine how you'd do that with someone you couldn't talk to. They get good reviews for that, so maybe I'll try it. I'm skeptical but interested. If all you need is cleaning it probably doesn't matter that you can't communicate without a phone translator. Their work was beautiful and they were punctual and polite. All of that is great. I'm glad they could fit us in!

Annis was extremely responsive before booking and made the entire process so easy and stress-free. The team arrived right on schedule and did an outstanding job on my move out clean. After living in the apartment for a while, the baseboards had collected dust and there was natural buildup in the kitchen, but when Annis and her team were finished, the apartment truly looked brand new. They also service the Providence area, so I highly recommend booking them for your next cleaning. I'm only moving out of the area; otherwise, I would absolutely be using them for regular cleanings. The booking was easy and transparent; and our communication was effective and clear. Annis was very accommodating even with my last-minute appointment change. She agreed to reschedule me in a short notice. On the date of our appointment, they arrive early with 3 personnel and effectively finished the job in about two hours. I'm particularly impressed with the thoroughness of their cleaning in the bathrooms, oven/stove, refrigerator and stairway steps. The quote described in details of what it included in the price, and they performed exactly what they said they would do. The price was very reasonable and transparent. Since then I've had…read morethe following things happen: -They redeemed my groupon (ie collected the money) 5 minutes after I scheduled my appointment, which they aren't supposed to do until the work is done. -They "forgot" to put my original appointment on the calendar -They cancelled my 2nd attempt at an appointment due to 'car trouble' -They're now 45 minutes late for attempt #3 and cleaners supposedly en route have their phones turned off -They failed to send the promised appointment confirmation email 2 out of 3 times I really don't know what to say. Maybe it's just a series of flukes but I'm pretty disappointed.
