Update- now I'm receiving the strangest messages from Mike (?). I honestly thought I might be overthinking my first review of 1 star so I updated it to 3. But now I'm receiving messages at 1am claiming I'm someone else! Arguing about the situation. It's getting weird, people! He sent screen shots of a convo with another person with a 949 area code and the phone number displayed so I've added those with the number scribbled out. WEIRD! I considered using Junk Buster Hauling for a couch removal. I was set on them because of reviews and the initial convo with them a year ago. They seemed friendly and loved that they were a family business that was local. I reached out to them a year later. I know the timing was longer but after flooding in SB my plans went on hold. I reached out again on a Wednesday about a haul on Saturday and received a not so friendly message. 3 days later! Not last minute like he claims. They asked me to text them pictures and they would give a quote via text. The price was over double what I initially received. I suspect they asked to text since Yelp has a pricing policy. BUT they asked for a deposit by Zelle before the job to secure my spot. I reached out to 20+ haulers and NOBODY asked for a deposit to secure my spot. 100 Junk was $100 less. I told them I felt like it was a scam and I didn't feel comfortable sending non-refundable money before a job. They continued to text trying to convince me it was a good idea. I do not recommend this hauler for your needs. I used Helpful Haulers who were AMAZING! And much more affordable. read more
