Loved my interaction with Junk Deal! I requested a quote through Yelp. They came in higher than other quotes, but they were very friendly and immediate in their response. I asked them to price match and they came very close - then I had to add something else to my pickup and they didn't blink an eye. Their customer service went a long way for me, so I went all in. They gave me a 9-11am window the day they were going to show (literally the next day!) and then at 8:39am they texted to say they were 20 minutes away. The mover came alone, then realize it would require two persons (despite the fact that I have given the measurement, location as well as description). He came later again after 2 hours, so totally it took me 3 hours to wait for the removal. The mover also doesn't know how to request payment when he was here, when I asked. He wanted to write down my credit number on his phone, which I dont feel comfortable. Two days later, Junk Deal called and asked me to give the credit number over the phone, I am generally surprised for an organization like this, couldn't process payment in a secure way. I had a lot of junk: 3 old mattresses, 3 broken bikes, old office chairs, an unused table, and that's only the large items. The team was quite responsive too, I left a message request on Yelp and the team was able to call me back within a day to get everything started. One request: it would have been nice to get the price estimate during our phone call instead of arranging the pickup first though. I was only notified about the price (over $800 for 3/4 of the truck's space) at the time that they arrived at my place. It seems similar to other providers I had contacted, but extra transparency would be good!
