I had just had surgery and was unable to lift leaving my wife having dispose of stuff from a home we just purchased. We searched the internet and found five companies which were considered "respectable company" the top of the list was, "Junk Hauling Express". We called and we were asked what we had and were quoted $250 for a full truck. When the crew showed up the crew immediately said that we were going to have to pay $550 for a full truck, even though we were quoted $250. The Junk Hauling Express arrived and already had rubbish in the truck and apparently, we had to pay for that too! Or they charged the other person and us also! Rip Off Artists!! Out of Distress my wife agreed just to get the rubbish removed because she knew she couldn't do it by herself and our complex said it had to go. All the way through the loading the truck (which my wife had to help because these 2 young boys would have quit) they kept up a constant barrage of complaining about doing the work and wanted to quit when the truck was quarter full. The 2 big workers wanted to come back two or three more times charging each time for the rest of our rubbish. Their version was to quit at a quarter of a truck load and come back for four more times getting loads charging $550 each time! They kept telling my little wife she will have to pay more, then pissing and complain about having to do the work. She was doing more than they were, but she wouldn't let them stop because she pointed out that the truck wasn't even half full and took pictures of their scam. Showing up at 1:30 they guys wanted the money so they told my wife at 2 pm they had to get going to get to the dump, even though they said it closes at 4pm, but this way they could charge 3 more times at $550. Thereby making it a profitable day! All in All - BAD CHOICE!! - When they changed the price we should have told them to leave and went with another company. Apparently they prey on people in distress and new to the area. WE DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM!!! Rip Off Artists and SISSYS about work!!! Excellent company to deal with. Needed to get rid of a large entertainment center wall unit. The rep took our info, explained how they worked, and we set a date for a crew to come. The crew called approximately 20 minutes prior to let us know they would be coming. Upon arrival, 20 minutes later exactly, the crew, consisting of Brandon and Jean (Gene ), came in, looked at what had to be removed, gave us an idea of pricing and we had them take the unit. They were very professional and car efully removed the heavy pieces of bulky furniture from our 2nd story townhouse without any damage at all. This company is a lifesaver! Hurricane Ian knocked over a stretch of wood privacy fencing out front. This was the THIRD storm that hit in that location...the fence company I deal with wanted $3000 to replace...so, decided to eliminate.
