Boy did we have a big job for these guys... and did they come through. We had to tear out an older portion of our dilapidated deck because I was concerned the railroad ties were failing. After we confirmed this, we called Haul N Go amongst a few other crews for a bid. He wasn't the cheapest but he showed up on time and was responsive so we decided to move ahead before the rainy season. We had multiple, large dumpster bins brought in to facilitate the removal of the deck being disassembled - sharing this factoid to give you a sense of the volume of debris they had to manage. This was not a small or easy job. To add to the complication factor the area being deconstructed was on a slope. 3 Costco pizzas later & a few days late, it was finally completed. They removed dirt in addition to the railroad ties. It was quite the undertaking. They leveled the ground and brought it back to its natural state as much as they could and did a pretty decent job cleaning up after themselves. We have had crews leave soda bottles & fast food bags strewn in our yard after work was completed which is why I'm mentioning- these guys were more considerate than most and did not do that. Thank you! My only comment/complaint would be that they definitely needed to invest in a new wheel barrel. The tire was not only flat but split by the end of our job so it slowed things down. I needed a bathroom demo'd for an upcoming renovation. I did a search on Yelp and came across the highly rated "Haul N Go". I sent them a message via Yelp requesting a quote and I promptly got a response back. After giving a few more details on the demo, Eric/Jose provided a quote. Like a good consumer, I requested several quotes from other companies. Haul N Go wasn't the lowest, but they certainly had enough 5 star reviews that they were on the top of my list. I messaged Eric/Jose with a competitor's quote (which was lower $). He did not match the price...He actually went LOWER than the competitor's quote. 5 star reviews AND a lower quote, how could I say no? Well, the proof is in the pudding. They 2 assigned guys came a bit late, but hey, it was a Saturday...No biggie. After a little overview of what needed to be done they quickly and efficiently got to work. I bought my house at the end of 2019 and immediately hired Haul N Go to come out and handle demolition. Unbeknownst to me, you must have a full building permit to do any demo in Burbank. I got caught by the permit office and was shut down immediately. Manny had his guys and equipment on site and asked that I pay upfront to cover labor costs even though the work wasn't done. I had a good feeling about him and his team and agreed to do it thinking I would have my permit in a couple weeks. As it turns out, it took me over a year to get a permit to start work. Manny checked in with me almost every month asking when he could come back and finish the job. I eventually got my permit and he came back with his team and finished. Sometimes in life you get a gut feeling about someone. I decided to take the risk and it all worked out. The job was done very well, super professional, and reliable. Summary: I did a lot of shopping before I hired these guys and bottom line is, they were the most competitive with price and service. Details: I am redoing my driveway and recently, I had a large amount of concrete and small amount of dirt removed. I called around and received about 10 quotes from different services. Some estimates were extremely low but when they arrived on site, the estimates were either double or tripled. Long story short, when I spoke with Manny on the phone, he was polite and honest. He basically said, we charge by the load like most competitors but we are willing to work with you at a reasonable budget if we can get a physical visual for the estimate. They called first before they came and they were on time. The quote was high at first but Manny was reasonable and came down to meet my budget. I can appreciate the honesty and hard work from this team as I know they are up against some challenges such as heat, exhaustion. and brute manual labor.
