Good communication and cordial. The estimate they gave us was a range, not an exact dollar amount, and since we thought the maximum amount didn't seem totally unreasonable, we had them proceed with the work. my husband and i needed to clean out our basement. it started with a broken elliptical machine that needed to be hauled away and morphed into lets purge the basement. we moved into our house 19 years ago. we have a large portion of the basement that is unfinished. this became a repository for anything too large to throw out. in addition, i had filing cabinets that i moved from my office. the company sent two drivers out on a saturday.polite and on time. they gave us a bid which we thought was reasonable. they would have done it then and there but our job was substantial so we scheduled for weds. they showed up once again on time with three large dumpster trucks and five guys. they were fast, efficient and polite. we filled two and half trucks. great company!!! would use them again and we sent their information out to our neighbors. read more

Which for me is very important because too many people today don't. I couldn't believe how fast my basement was cleared. Very professional crew. Great experience. There was miscommunication with regards to how much junk I had. They had originally estimated half truck and it ended up being a lot more but they honored their price. Additionally, they called in an additional crew and truck to help out! The original crew that came out was Alex, Loren, & Robert and they were very professional and courteous despite the additional amount of junk from what they were expecting. Backup crew called was Zach Logan and Tyler who quickly got into rotation to move everything out as quickly as possible. Overall, great experience and would highly recommend. IF YOUR RENTING A DUMPSTER FOR A PROJECT THAT WILL TAKE OVER 3 DAYS THIS COMPANY ISNT FOR YOU! You heard it correctly! Now, they have dumpsters don't get me wrong, but if you have a "project", a "clean out" or anything that will take LONGER than (3) days (like we did), DONT CHOOSE HERE. We just rented a dumpster for a clean out (which was a mess in the basement) and I wasn't going to originally choose this company for renting a container. Because I'll be honest, like most companies, WHO DONT advertise, they survive & GROW off word of mouth and repeat business. I am a repeat renter of someone else, and I normally rent from them 6 times or so a year as I also own a real estate business. I NEVER had an issue with my regular company. I knew when I called from the beginning this time to this Comp I needed more then 3 days. That's why I took the time to call my husband prior to commiting to rent from this company as my regular company was sold out this weekend. Now I will admit, the young lady when you call, it is more of a corporate feel. They def keep that (corporate feel up) even as I've learned it's a corporate sold franchise. But even myself (being someone who works for Yelp) they don't know this, but this is why we track advertising for performance. when a customer looks to do business with a company, they read their reviews because this is like a credit score for a business. Even if Corp is paying for their ads online. Other businesses have less overhead and more customers. Making even franchises more profitable. EXPERIENCE is what keeps customers coming back. Then they say what a "great experience"! But I picked up the phone and called and I was shopping around. I knew my normal company was sold out this weekend, but I still had a need to fill and I wanted to see what else was out there. I explained this was kind of an odd last minute project, but I wanted to tackle our basement while I was off for 2 weeks. The young lady at Junk Kings answered and I asked her their Prices. She said 298 for 3 days and I asked if they honor competitors and she said they did. I explained my normal company charges $280 for 7 days and $10 a day if you need it longer. I said hey, ya know, even if they would just meet in the middle and honor the (5) days I would be ok with that. She said the owner said that would be fine and I asked her, IF I NEED IT LONGER THEN CAN I EXTEND MY RENTAL? she said yes, she said I can rent it if I needed it longer for $25/day. I said no problem and I rented it. WELL WELL WELL, the PROBLEMS BEGIN!!!!! 2 days in I find out my mother passed. I couldn't finish my project but I had a contractor to help. The 5 days came and went and I truly only used 2 of them. I explained I needed more time and asked for more days. Because I know the $280 was gone. Even if I didn't use it. So I was paying extra to basically use my time without paying another $280 again. everytime I would ask it was as if I wasn't allowed to keep it (even though I already told the girl I would go past the 5 that's how I knew about $25 a day) well he had a FIT about it and the owner was FURIOUS. Its as if im not allowed to keep it EVEN THOUGH IM PAYING FOR IT. I'm not asking for the time to be free. But come to find out, he had re rented it and collected the money by scheduling it for someone else, while I still had it. He DEMANDED I GIVE IT BACK BY MONDAY, even though I still needed it and was paying for it. So Saturday he said that he would need it by Monday. I said that was fine and I would get it all done by Monday. well, I never got a time they would come. And my sisters car was on the end beside mine and I didn't have her key. I text Junk Kings and I say I know your coming but can you please come in the afternoon? she wasn't here, and I wanted to move her car. I get a text saying, they will get here between 1-2 pm. I say ok and I go back to sleep. That was 7am, Then 9am I wake up to the owner POUNDING ON MY DOOR, my kids asleep. He starts calling me and he's screaming at me HE NEEDS IT NOW, ITS BOUGHT ALREADY! How to you sell something someone else is paying for, for 1 and 2 I told them I cant move her car your supposed to come at 1. He said HE DOESNT CARE AND HE WANTS IT OUT NOW!!! He then tells me how much of an inconvenience I caused him. He already re-rented this dumpster and they already paid prior to him getting it back from me. He then threats that if I didn't move my cars he would forcefully move them and he didn't give a shit if I was paying for the dumpster, I had enough time to use it!! I was SHOCKED, I didn't know what to say. SO NOTE, even though the paperwork says $25 a day extra, you can't keep it as long as you need even if your paying and it's rented to you. THEN TO TOP IT OFF, I was told to have cash or check ready at pick up, that they only authorize your card. WRONG he ran my card at pick up and when it was off and declined he threatened to pour all the garbage on my yard. Yup what a piece of work!! read more

ABSOLUTELY OUTSTANDING AND AMAZING As a Purchasing Manager with over 30 years of experience, I have purchased services from every imaginable industry and am an excellent judge of character. I cannot say enough about the SUPERIOR service that I received from Junk King St. Louis. A crew of 7 clean cut, polite and professional workers showed up (10 minutes early) to begin removing 20 years of accumulation from my deceased relative's residence. The crew worked tirelessly for 6 hours without scratching, denting or dropping anything while cleaning out 3 levels of clutter. Although it was 90+ degrees outside, I never heard a single complaint about the heat or the work conditions. I was so thrilled with the crew that I bought them lunch and had a large cooler of bottled water on hand for them. The owner (Tim Weatherby) stopped by in the early afternoon to meet with me and to give his crew a helping hand. Many of the neighbors even came over to ask about their services as they were very impressed with the crew's work ethic.
