Stumbled upon this place in chance and will forever be grateful I did. It's a wonderful place to find any and all random things. The owner, Denise, is lovely and truly values the the offered stuff. Be prepared to dig a amping at the clothing! You won't be disappointed! The vintage offerings are amazing, more than fairly priced, and overall just wonderful. On my travels throughout South Carolina I've been to many thrift stores. By far this thrift shop has been the BEST one. Denise was a wonderful owner who welcomed me with open arms. She went out of her way to show me different articles of clothing that she thought would look good on me. It just so happens that she showed me a pair of jeans that I had been looking for months to try and find! By far the best thrift store, it's full of a bunch of good finds. The woman working the store front was very helpful and nice, and let us know her opinions on the items in the store. The woman running this store does not allow people to wear covid facemasks inside. Me and my mom drove out a long way to check it out and as soon as we walked in she told us, "We don't do masks here." At first I thought she was saying she did not have a mandatory mask rule but then my mom asked, "You don't allow them?" and the woman said, "Correct." Uncertain my mom pulled down one side of her mask off her ear and the woman continued saying, "I appreciate it!" and my mom asked, "You appreciate me taking the mask off?" The woman running the store said, "I do." My mom said, "There has to be a story there" and the woman running the store replied, "Well you know if I let you wear one then I have to let everyone else. I can't identify those people in hoodies. and people always touching their mask spreads germs." Clearly missing the point of masks in the first place and that "those people in hoodies" comment felt very questionable. We left very uncomfortable and did not spend our money there nor will we. Would not recommend. read more

It's a cute and quirky store on the outside, and on the inside they have all sorts of things! From baseball bats to old antiques and they have some doll parts too. It's a nice store with all sorts of gadgets and wonderful service! The owner was so nice and she was very helpful and answered all of our questions! I enjoyed every second in this shop; I recommend that anyone passing through should pay a visit, if not for anything else just to look at all of the unique finds. Denise is the perfect mixture of being able to hold a great conversation while not being so involved with your shopping experience that you can't enjoy yourself like a lot of other shops I've experienced. I very much looked forward to visiting, but was blown away by not only having to remove my mask, but by the language of the owner regarding individuals who left because they did not want to remove their masks. Everyone has the right to their own opinions but don't impose your beliefs on people willing to support your business. read more

Established in 1992.

If you're driving too fast, you'll pass right by Junk 'N Treasures, located at 7228 Ashville Hwy in Spartanburg. And that will be your loss. Junk 'N Treasures is not your ordinary thrift store. You won't find the typically dimly-lit space with shelf merchandise in disarray; this shop features lots of fluorescent lighting, along with organized shelves and areas. Denise Elston, the proud owner of this store, works hard at keeping her shop in good condition. "I've always hated going into musty stinky thrift stores where you can't see anything or where the 'treasures' are hidden under so much junk you'll never find them. So, when I opened Junk 'N Treasures, I decided to make it the type place I would enjoy shopping myself,"

Meet the Business Owner: Denise E.

Elston is proud of her store's involvement with the Fuller Center for Housing. This organization performs home repairs for disabled seniors who cannot afford them and are in an emergency situation. These repairs can include fixing air conditioning or heating, repairing or replacing a roof, and fixing a water heater or providing a new one. Part of every dollar spent at Junk 'N Treasures goes to help the center continue to help people in need. One of the main services offered by Junk-N-Treasure store is helping people downsize. Whether you're part of a couple whose children have grown and left home and you want to move to a smaller home or a senior citizen ready to move in with your children or to a retirement home, Elston will come to your home and take a look at your belongings. This way, you won't have to deal with the hassles of having a yard sale either before or after you move. She will help you make decisions on what to keep, what to get rid of.

My sister and I stopped by this past Saturday and found some really nice stuff in the window display. Specifically a little Prada bag and a little coach wallet. I stepped inside and asked if we were allowed to purchase, which I was told the manager said they could not sell those items until Monday. Keep in mind, they are on display and they are all priced, but whatever. Then proceeded to go this morning, approximately 20 minutes after they open. Checking the window display and seeing the bag is NO LONGER THERE. I ask if I can purchase the items on display, when I am told that I cannot. That the woman that runs the window display (not the manager now!) will not be selling them until later this week, and she would be there tomorrow and I could come back if I wanted. I proceeded to remind her that she was the same girl I talked to on Saturday and that she told me I could come back to purchase them on Monday. I knew they had to be full of shit because anyone that has ever worked at thrift store knows that they want to rummage through everything before they sell it to the public, and I knew that's exactly what was happening. I then proceeded to get my mom to call and they tell her that we can purchase the clothing items, but not any products in the window display. At that point, it is not worth going back because it is now under poor management and people who can't be honest with you about the shit that they are selling. Do not display and price items and then try to say they aren't for sale!!! Then when I come back they're mysteriously gone??? ZERO STARS.
