You know what they say!!!! Out with the old and in with the new!!!! As the new year and decade approaches, we're doing some home updates and refreshing to spring forward, woop woop! That has entailed a need to get rid of everything from an old big screen tv, mattresses, a sofa that weighed a metric ton, to miscellaneous things like scrap metal, rotted wood, old clothes, and enough dead leaves for a lifetime. I was shocked at the amount of actual "junk" we allowed ourselves to build up without brainstorming letting the professionals remove it, prior to now. I'm so glad we did though, because Junk Unlimited did the heavy lifting that would've taken us days, in a matter of a couple hours. Best of all, is that when I tried to be nosey (hehe) and find out where they dispose of people's junk, I was advised clothes and things of that nature are typically donated and that metals, old appliances, and things of that nature get recycled. Look at me being green with my dear old junk, LOL. When I reached out to Junk Unlimited, I was so pleased with their prompt response time, reasonable pricing, flexible hours including early mornings / weekends / evenings, and my overall customer experience. Then on the day of doing our junk removal, the Junk Unlimited team was so friendly and professional. They stayed on task with what we needed them to do and all the guys were very handsome *cough cough I meant polite, in case you're reading this, Husband LOL. They were literally in and out in no time and ready to head to their next gig, but I wanted to extend them some lunch I'd ordered for a job well done, before they left. The owner mentioned that they practice a standard of being early for their jobs, as what they consider to be on time so they couldn't sit to eat but after I insisted, they at least accepted to-go boxes I forced them out the door with. Junk unlimited is great! I'm a a trustee for an estate... and we had to get a "hoarder" house cleaned out. We got a couple of quotes and Junk Unlimited had the best price and timeframe (one quote said 3 days). Ray arrived on time and got this hoarder house cleared out in just a few hours... with just two people. They were thorough and exceptionally professional. My wife called them around noon on a Saturday. They said they would be there by 3pm. They were there by 2pm. The picked up every bit of drywall and debris out at the curb. Over the last 10 months of a never ending kitchen restoration, my DH and I have interacted with many contractors, vendors and repair people. Some of those experiences have been so God awful that I just wanted to go sit in the corner of a room and stare off into space from the shock. Not in this case. Our yard became a wasteland of debris and horrifying garbage after 1. storing our kitchen goods and wares outside in a tent. 2. The workers we had redoing our kitchen were constantly throwing their supplies/trash/detritus outside. 3. A rainy, mild winter resulted in many sopping wet pieces of cardboard, tarps, etc. 4. The final kicker was the last Winter snowstorm a few weeks back. Lost a lot of supplies and belongings to melting snow that turned into pure ice and than ruined things in the melt. So this was not an easy, nice or organized job to do. Basically our yard looked liked a ruined base camp after a Mount Everest collapse combined with a post apocalyptic backdrop for a Zombie movie. That was before the Junk Unlimited crew showed up today. I only give high praise once in a blue moon. It is well deserved here. Fast, super polite and very organized work. Something that could have been fraught with stress, was actually a happy experience. Very reasonable rates too. I needed a 3 seat couch hauled away as quickly as possible before we moved out of our home. I spoke to Ray who, even though he was on vacation, picked up my phone call and said he would be available as soon as he came back. That's called grade A service in my book. He was on time and extremely professional. I was a little wary when he showed up by himself to haul the couch, but he quickly showed me his experience in hauling as he had the couch out of there in a matter of minutes. We bought a house to fix it up. This entailed new flooring, some wall changing, and totally new kitchen. Ultimately, half of a two car garage was completely filled with flooring, carpet, drywall and a myriad of other 'junk.' We were going to try and move the junk ourselves, but it was overwhelming, so I decided to peruse the internet. I found Junk Unlimited. I liked the owner being a veteran aspect, and the other reviews. I made the phone call .. within 24 hours my junk was gone. Ralph and crew were reasonable, thorough, professional, friendly and (I'm not sure guys like to be called 'sweet,' but I would say that if I could do so without offending.)
