I was able to snag a Groupon for this place and it saved me quiet a few bucks. The staff at the museum are awesome. They were very welcoming, friendly, courteous, and helpful. They gave us our space, but stepped in to explain an illusion when we were looking puzzled or stumped. On downfall of this place is that it is not very big. We went through the meusuem in about 40 minutes, and that was stretching it out. Some of our favorite illusions were the clone card table, the galaxy room, the human kaleidoscope, the Tilted Room, the Reverse Room, the Ames Room (shrinking room), the human potted plant, 3D art, the RGB screen, shadow box/flash screen, the Beuchet Chair Illusion, hollow face illusion, swap noses illusion, infinity ladder and various other illusions such as the Müller-Lyer illusion and illusory motion. The museum's couch illusion appears to be unique to this location and is featured. It has the person put part of their body in a hole in the couch and using a fake pair of legs, make it look like they are doing some impossible poses. This is a very nice museum that is a decent place to spend a little time. It is about 30 minutes or so outside of Toronto and my family really enjoyed taking photos there. I wish this place was bigger, but I still highly recommend checking this place out.

A true hidden gem in the city…read more I bet most of you who live in Clarkson might not even know this place exists, but it does (and has been around for 50 years, no less!) Beautiful and picturesque, the Bradley House is one of the nicest museums in the city. Actually, I hesitate to call it a museum, as it's more a collection of historic properties that all have their own significance, including the Leslie Log Cabin (which was relocated from Port Credit to this site after nearly being demolished). There's a lot to love here. They just built a Native sweat lodge for traditional ceremonies, along with a decorative set of rocks and log seats that are part of class trips to the site. This is the site of some major festivals like Maple Magic, which is usually held every year and has lots of maple syrup-related activities, and the main house itself is filled with all sorts of artifacts and nifty antique items from around the area. If you're in the area, it's worth a visit here. Highly recommended.

You have 2 hosts, narrating and guiding the audience through the story which lasts about 30 min. Definitely a unique format to present and view a story, and I could see the little children really enjoying this. The Lite Brite show was also pretty neat as well with different themed features (dinosaurs, space, under water...etc) with interactive game components are narrated by the same hosts who was part of the Wizard of Oz earlier. May not be everyone's cup of tea, but for our groups of a pre-teen and 4 young at hearts, we had a good time.

I'd visited PAMA (how it's commonly known and on the signage) about 3 years ago​ for an event but haven't returned since - nor had I brought my kids until today. Pretty sad considering how great the facility is - and that I only live a few blocks from it. The Museum and Art Gallery are in separate buildings from each other​ but connected by a ​tunnel. It's truly magnificent throughout the entire facility by how they integrate the old stone structure with the new additions which are largely glass and allow a lot of natural light. The art gallery is the smaller of the two sections. The gallery has some beautiful pieces and a great exhibit at the time of writing - but it's fairly small. Downstairs they have two studios - almost multipurpose rooms. They often have daycamps for kids there. For example, during the current winter break, they've had a separate activity each day - with today's being to create a rose out of clay. My kids had a blast and the staff was​ very helpful and cheerful. The tunnel linking the sections serves as the photography exhibit. At my first visit, it was a bit more art-centered​, and my visit today it was more historically-oriented. Both times were great and there were lots of great things that caught my attention. The museum is larger than the art gallery. The first level has a kids area - suited for ages 4-8 where they have a lot of interactive play and learn about food, transport, ​and other things. Just behind are a few cells remaining from the prison era which serve to highlight the conditions of the era, and some of the harsh realities and injustices​ as well. Upstairs shows old artifacts largely highlighting the area's agrarian roots. They keep kids involved where they can pretend to plant their own garden. There was a also a very impressive First Nations exhibit which had some interactive features. It should go without saying that PAMA is not out to compete with being a world-class Museum or art gallery​. But considering it's scope as a suburban one, and that admission is only $5 for adults and even less for kids, I think it's phenomenal​. Anyone near the area should visit it at least once, and even families outside of Peel but in the GTA should really consider making a day trip here - especially​ during school breaks when the art gallery is​ providing activities for kids. PAMA truly deserves to be featured on more "Places to take your kids..." GTA lists. Overall,​ ​very fun, inspiring​ and family friendly. Tip: free family passes available at Brampton Library - with the Four Corners branch only a couple blocks away.

The place's theme was sustainability ad protecting the earth, and they made it pretty engaging. There are also things to interact with and watch. The VR with the tablets was actually surprisingly cool. Each room in the experience was so spectacularly made that it was breathtaking. Finally, the virtual reality experience at the end was one of the coolest things I have ever done in Toronto. Before you go, note that it is heavily reliant on technology. It is also best to have storage to download the app on your phone, unless you want to borrow a tablet. This was a cool experience that I would recommend for people of all ages.

I love how they combine art + technology to teach about climate change in a way that's easy for kids to understand. That said, for the price (~$39), it may feel a bit short for some people, and it's more of a "go once" type of experience. Still, I appreciate the message behind it and think it's worth checking out at least once--especially with kids!

There is a mandatory bag check (around $4) even if the bag is small. So don't bring any bags or backpacks if you want to avoid the fee. Free tours are offered by volunteers, check at the front desk. The collection is huge so be prepared to spend the entire evening to thoroughly enjoy the visit.
