DO NOT BRING YOUR LIFTED JEEP TO HOPFE. - They do not like lifted Jeeps…read more I wish I knew that before going in. Ken was nice enough, but they did not even attempt to fix the 2 things I brought my Jeep in for. Loose steering & auto transmission shifting poorly. He said Lifted Jeeps always have steering problems & they won't work on that. Ok. Even though it was written down in their apt book to look at my transmission, they did not. Forgot to & wouldn't when I asked about it. "You're lucky I took you in at all". he didn't tell me that until after I was picking up my Jeep. My 1st time there, so of course I didn't know of this bias. Again, I wish I knew that before bringing my Jeep in. I did however spend $1k for them replace inner axle seals as he advised. I like my Jeep to be in good repair. It dripped axle oil on my clean garage floor when I got it home, but only for a day. Update: Nothing to do with Hopfe directly, but 4 weeks after that appt my Jeep is gushing transmission fluid when I started it up today. It's been parked 100% in my garage for 2 weeks. Less then 11 miles driven since I asked them to look at the transmission. It seems I was right to seek a repair before something worse happened. Just too bad they didn't. 2nd Update: I was really in a bind & needed to get my Jeep fixed ASAP. Hopfe was kind enough to examine my Jeep Transmission leak even though Hopfe was booked solid for the next 3-4 weeks (August). We agreed that he probably would not have time to do the repair, but it would be super helpful for me to know if I need to go to a transmission shop or a general automotive repair shop. He reported back less than 3 hours later; saying it is a transmission front pump seal, no charge for the diagnosis. A huge favor, which I greatly appreciated. So I found a shop in COS & took it in for a transmission repair - front pump seal.... Imagine my surprise after all this - when the shop in COS (No relation to Hopfe) reports that leak is not transmission fluid, but engine coolant. What a surprise. Not transmission fluid. Not a transmission leak. That other shop fixed the problem by replacing the engine oil cooler. The transmission was fine & not leaking. Really not sure what to say about that.

Brought my vehicle here for a quote on MINOR scratching on the bumper of my new car. I had…read moreexplained that I had valet parked my vehicle and not only received a damaged vehicle back, but was also stuck with the repair bill. I was actually in disbelief about the legality of the situation, and had to do some research involving valet parking companies - but sure enough most have a legal disclaimers that protects regardless of fault. Regardless, it was a small scratch on the front bumper and I was getting quotes from local places. BumperDoc quoted me $800+ to repaint (no body damage) the scratches on the bumper. Something didn't seem right to me, and I took it elsewhere. I ended up getting multiple other quotes for $200-$300 at reputable collision places. I thought it was weird that this place tried to take advantage of us, especially based on other good reviews and the personal feel. The worker even tried to quote me on repairing one of my curb rash wheels on the vehicle for $175 each. I was unsure at the time, but later I found out that the going rate for repair is $50-$100 on minor curb rash. I honestly felt like the employee was trying to take advantage for whatever reason. Maybe our car being a 2017, and is moderately expensive could had something to do with it - but that doesn't mean I am willing to throw away money. Especially in an unfortunate situation, such as the irresponsible valet.

alright an UPDATE for y'all:…read more 1. today (08/03/19) i arrived for my rescheduled interior detailing appointment at 9 am 2. staff helped me right away.. 3. i stayed in shop and waited for my car 4. they did not charge me the $30 for pet hair (due to all the issues in my original review) 5. my car was finished at about 12:50 pm 6. the interior was much cleaner than when i brought it in.. almost no pet hair 7. only 2 stars today due to the ~ 4 hours and all the issues in my original review i advise you to communicate THOROUGHLY with staff and if possible, have a friend or family member pick you up so you don't have to wait for the duration of the appointment
