I recently had a Gemstone birthday party at Just Bead Yourself in Westfield, NJ for my 11 year old daughter. I was surprised on how this party exceeded my expectations. Yes I knew ahead of time that you would learn how to do a muscle test to see which gemstone makes you stronger and you would create Energy Jewelry using the gemstones. It sounded very metaphysical to me at the time but I was still curious nonetheless. The staff was amazing they not only took the time to teach the kids the gemstone names such as Rose Quartz, Sodalite, Flourite, and Pyrite just to name a few along with their amazing properties. They were also very patient and informative and the girls created their personal gemstone selection which was their own work of art. We not only had an interesting art experience but created a keepsake and lifelong memory. My daughter was thrilled and her guests commented that this was the best birthday party they ever attended. If that wasn't enough they arranged the pizza and cake (that you created ahead of time) in a separate room while the staff finished the bracelets so that they were completed with strong beautiful clasps. I had invited my girl scout co-leader and we plan to come back with our troop moms only for a girls night out. We also want to make jewelry. They have created an event just for us too. I cannot even begin to describe how much fun we had here!! I went with 2 friends. Thea the owner along with her co workers were so incredibly helpful and nice. Some of the sweetest people I have met. We did the wine and paint class where we painted wine glasses and created charms to put on the wine glass. It was an open event and made friends with the other people painting with us. The price for the session was very reasonable and all worth it! We truly felt at home here even though we just met everyone. So welcoming, so sweet, so patient with everyone, and so fun. The other party brought food with them and Thea laid it all out on a platter and brought it out for everyone. After all was over Thea was nice enough to give us details about her other events she hosts such as children's Tea parties and bead making events for kiddies. My daughter fell in love with Just Bead Yourself! Bead-making fell in beautifully with her skill sets, and she completed many different projects over the course of a week. Just Bead Yourself is open when most other child care camps are not open, and the owner is friendly and willing to work with parents to find the best projects for your child. For the price,my daughter came home with many wearable pieces of jewelry and key chains, all made out of quality materials. She made necklaces, bracelets, chokers, key chains, pendants, lip gloss, headbands, and rings. She colored pictures and met a local celebrity from a popular kids' television show. My daughter and I felt comfortable and safe in the cozy and creative maker space. The owner and camp counselors are friendly and helpful. We took our 2 granddaughters to a Queen Elsa Tea Party and it was one of the best activities we have ever done together The Just Bead Yourself store is just great. The staff and owner are so warm and welcoming to everyone and they make everyone feel so special. When Queen Elsa arrived, they kids were beyond excited and the 'program' was so well done. They sang songs, each child made a special beaded bracelet, Queen Elsa had a 'coronation' for each child and each got a tiara and wand. She interacted with the kids and each child felt so very special. After pizza and cookies, the incredible party was over and after a photo op, it was the end. Just Bead It has a very large selection of beads and there is so something for everyone -both kids and adults. You will have a great time!! read more

Thea, the owner is hands on, she expertly trains her staff to teach both young children and adults the unique ways to create thieir own original jewlery. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable (about the different types of beads & energy that the beads represent) and most of all creative. Stop by and see all the different classes they offer. Just bead yourself is excellent. I attended 2 classes: chakra and gemstones - they were both superb - Thea shared a lot of knowledge including the science behind why the chakras and gemstones work - we also learnt about how to do. A kinesiology test which helps you choose gemstones that will be beneficial to your body energy to ensure good health. I personally have seen a lot of change in my health through using of gemstones - it definitely works although I was not always a believer. I highly recommend these courses in this day and age when we need to take care of our health ourselves. Give it a try even if you are a skeptic and prove it for yourself. read more

I had the most wonderful experience at Just Bead Yourself located in the heart of downtown Westfield... Making jewelry with crystals truly brought out latent talents I never knew existed! I could have purchased the necklace I made with my own two hands at a fancy department store for hundreds of dollars!! In addition, the Chakras workshop was phenomenal. I learned all about the 7 different chakras with the crystals and essential oils associated with each one. I made my own pendulum and learned to discriminate between energies which could then manipulate my feelings and ultimately my mood. I highly recommend Just Bead Yourself! read more

Just Bead Yourself has a friendly and soothing atmosphere for kids & adults to create their own jewelry at their walkin workshop. My little ones love the event called "Afternoon Tea with My Doll" Jewelry party.. My daughter brought her doll and made beautiful matching necklaces for her and her American Girl Doll. Then they had a cute tea party with little tea sets and desserts! So cute! I loved it so much I came back with my friends for a Girls Night Out! Not only was Thea extremely knowledgeable, but she made sure that we were all satisfied with our gemstone assessments before we started the process of making the bracelet that was included with the class. Just Bead Yourself and Thea (the owner) is amazing. She just hosted my daughter's Frozen birthday party here and my birthday party (wine glass painting). Thea is so patient and so amazing. For the Frozen party, she also had an Elsa who sang and interacted very nicely with the girls. And they also made a Frozen beaded bracelet. I had a wonderful time at the Psychic Bead Party. I would like to continue creating jewelry. I recieved so many compliments on my Labradorite earrings and necklace. My energy has changed and I feel a difference when I wear my Labradorite jewelry. I feel a warming sensation in my throat and heart area. Overall I feel lighter . What a great party! We celebrated my daughters 8th birthday at just bead yourself. Thea had everything organized and ready to go. We could not have been more pleased. We had one little girl with a nut allergy and Thea went out of her to make she was safe and even purchased brand new bottle of oil for the lip gloss she was making. Went to the Gem Energy Consultation Class with my cousin for her birthday and it was an experience I will never forget. I had my daughter's 5th birthday party there yesterday and it was amazing the staff there did an awesome job and they were all very helpful. my daughters thing was frozen and it was perfect I was the happiest parents ever.
