But this one? It honestly beats them all. This spa sets the standard, no question. The moment we walked in, it just felt right. And then I met Rose... yeah, she's my favorite. Our appointment was with Annabelle, and she was an absolute doll. Super knowledgeable, but what stood out was how she explained everything while she was doing it. Step by step, she made sure we actually understood what was happening and why. We did the Pico laser treatment! I had a bunch of dark spots, and one of them literally popped louder than the others. She broke it down right there, explaining how darker pigment needs deeper penetration. That kind of detail? You don't get that everywhere. Long story short, this is the place. Whether it's Botox with Lindsay, facials with Liana D, or any other treatment--they've got it dialed in. I was reflecting as my time as a patient under Bonni back in 2014 and decided to share the concerns…read moreI had. Bonni is very nice, but expect to wait at least 2 hours after you check in. I understand that it's because she takes a lot of time with each patient, but as someone who was hourly and going in for a check up on their lunch, this was very problematic. It seems like scheduling should be adjusted to accommodate the needs of everyone involved rather than wasting patient's time. My bigger issue is that Bonni relies too heavily on alternative medicine theories. A lot of these studies are not based in good science. (I work in academic publishing.) While under her care, I was referred to the in-office nutritionist. A note here that a nutritionist is NOT the same as a dietitian. A nutritionist can get certified for about $3000 online whereas a dietitian has to go through years and years of medical training and get a higher degree. Because of this combo, I was told I must have a gluten issue. Even though I have EXCELLENT insurance, I had to pay a few hundred dollars out of pocket for an unnecessary gluten allergy test. It came back saying I did not have a gluten allergy. None the less, I was told by Bonni and the nutritionist to stop eating both gluten and dairy for SIX months. I stopped after two months because I saw no change and went to a doctor through the UCLA system who told me you only need to test these things for a single month. So, in conclusion if you're looking for an alternative medicine approach (if that's your jam, fine!) then this is the right doctor for you. But if like me you are not, then go elsewhere.
