No- not biting, hitting, any other behaviors you would expect would get your kid kicked out. Most frustrating is that there were never any formal meetings to even discuss the possibility that if these things weren't fixed, we'd be kicked out. We didn't see it coming and had to scramble to find new childcare. The behaviors she exhibited are normal 3-year-old behaviors that might take some kids longer than others to work through. I feel the staff is either stretched too thin or doesn't have the patience or energy needed to work with little learners of all levels. We felt extremely blind-sighted by this decision and heart-broken for our kids who now have to start somewhere else, leave their friends and learn new routines. It was already hard enough leaving our only kids in the hands of someone else, and now I'm facing a ton of anxiety all over again hoping this doesn't happen to us again and our kids won't be given up on as easily as Meadow Wood gave up on them. Before this happened, I did appreciate many things about this daycare. The Brightwheel app is convenient and they update you/post pictures of your kids throughout the day. During summer there were a lot of extra activities like field trips and a magic show. Some of the teachers were really nice to us (we saw some be pretty snippy with the kids at times though). We always knew about injuries via an incident report. Payment was easy. Lots for littles to do and different enrichment activities that matched the seasons. Open at 6:00AM for parents who need to get to work early. However, unless your kids are really good at sitting still, following routines, and don't cause a lot of problems for the staff in general, they might tell you to find somewhere else better suited to your child's needs and that they can't offer the 1:1 that your child needs because they have a lot of kids to watch already.

My daughter loves her main teacher, Alisha (so do we). And as learned to do so much in their early head start program. She's 18 months old, and knows how to use crayons correctly (and knows the colours names!), can say over 30 words and over 6 sentences with 3 words or more. she also has learned some of her ABC's and with help can count to 10.

The first day, I walked in and one of the staff was yelling at the kids like it was military school. The next week, another parent took my daughters shoes home, and my daughter was sent home without shoes. No apology. Multiple times my daughter came home with dirty underwear (as if they didn't wipe her butt) and a horrible red rash. Of the next couple of months, my daughter started becoming reluctant of going to school. Came to the point that every time we would leave to go there, she would start crying and saying she didn't like that school. I talked to her main care taker as well as wrote another email to the director of her behavior. There was no response from the director and one of the staff said she would try to help. A month ago they made my daughter eat lunch and spend half the day with a different class, none of which was brought to my knowledge till my daughter kept crying saying she didn't want to go to the 'big side'. I wrote yet another email to the director and she didn't apologize for anything. Just basically said that it was close to her moving. Every time I went to that school, the director was in her office, didn't bother to greet anyone, when I did see her in passing she acted stuck up. The directors set the tone of their staff, and it reflected horribly here. My daughter isn't the only one who would throw a tantrum in being dropped off either. When I gave my notice, the directors assistant was there and all she asked was if I was caught up in my payments. No apology or asking if something was wrong. Even wrote an email to the director and nothing... now my daughter goes to a new daycare, one week in and she LOVES it, every time we leave she says she likes it and gives them al hugs. I definitely feel like this drop in facility is better as far as security and cleanliness goes compared to another drop in facility in our area. It is cheaper than hiring a babysitter and I don't have to worry about cleaning up. I'm having his little brother in May 2012 and I expect Isaac (5) will be seeing a lot of Recess Time!! It is truly a safe haven for a parent who needs a bit of a break for a reasonable cost and less costly than hiring a sitter if you have an appointment! They have everything a kid might want, from fine to gross motor activities and they can even provide meals and snacks for a small charge if you forget to bring your own! I can't ask for more!
