I did have to take a little time to write these reviews because I needed to come down off my horse first . But man, the lady who checked me out was NOT friendly at all. Very mean, rude, and honestly just disrespectful. When I'm shopping, that's not the kind of experience I'm looking for. BUT--I'm choosing to look past it, move forward, and not let one person shake my day. Because honestly, I had the BEST time ever shopping! A local gal had told me that if I wanted to find some unique items and potentially look at reselling, this was the place I needed to go. I thought, I'll just go check it out, poke at my curiosity, and see what I find. And that is exactly what I did! I walked in and was immediately overwhelmed , so I told myself, "Focus. Just go to the vintage room." And that's what I did. Fast-forward to 145 items in my cart! But the fitting room always has a way of narrowing things down. I was looking for super niche, fun, creative vintage pieces that were in great condition and at a good price point--which, thankfully, helped narrow it down quite a bit. I still walked out paying around $280 for my items, and I'd have to say I probably got 30-40 pieces, so the price points were definitely good! And now, two months later, the majority of those items have sold. But you know... I kept a few for myself too. Heheheh. Fast-forward to **145 items in my cart**! But the fitting room always has a way of narrowing things down. We love Global - the staff are always so friendly and kind, the goods are top notch (especially their vintage section!) and the mission makes it all that much better. A large store with plenty to look through, I've found stuff for my room here occasionally. The tshirts sometimes will be be stained and still $9, though I could also be stingy. I've never had any issues with staff or smell. read more

What an incredible find! My daughters, who both live locally, brought our family here one holiday Season. Not only does it have a large opened, well organized, signed area, but a smaller Vintage area also. All prices are very fair, competitive! AND they train and employ Refugees. I love going to Global Neighborhood Thrift for books typically. Their selection is robust and well-priced. Today I went in search of t-shirts so I can stock up for the summer. The main areas had a decent selection. I was pretty disappointed with the vintage t-shirt selection, however. The section smelled gross and half of the t-shirts were stained, had noticeable holes, or had very ragged collars. I would not mind so much if these were being sold for a few dollars, but these were being sold for $12-$14 a piece! I think that GNT needs to price their vintage t-shirts according to the quality of the piece. The staff are always friendly and helpful. I will return in the future, but I think I will skip the vintage t-shirt section. read more

Loved shopping at this place until today when I brought my family in and a young employee I never seen before went to the man at the register and accused me of stealing the jacket I WALKED IN WEARING that I bought a week ago at this place. My mom near the register overhearing him. Then after my mother finished having her items rung up, the man at the register directly asked if I stole the jacket I was wearing. I was stunned because not only did my mom directly tell the kid we weren't stealing after hearing him accuse me (not knowing I was with her) of putting on the jacket I was wearing from the rack (which is an absolute lie, I never tried on anything at the racks) AND this little liar acted shocked to my face 'dumbfounded' saying "I have no idea what you mean, I never accused any of you of stealing"; the man at the register ALSO literally saw me walk in with the jacket and greeted me. After physically showing him the receipt I received in my email last week totaling over $100, he didn't apologize or anything. He just told me to "take it easy" and "calm down" (when I was literally just standing there saying nothing. I think it's pathetic to not only LIE about seeing someone stealing to another employee, then have that other employee accuse them to their face. (Because you lack a spine) Then when proven wrong, not only do I not get an apology for being totally insulted, I get told to "calm down" and "take it easy" I used to think the people that worked here were amazing, but ever since this incident with this cowardly liar they just hired, I honestly can't stand by that statement and will have to rescind my recommendations for this place. read more

Nice well organized selections, however books are way overpriced at $3.50 for any adult book (not that kind of adult book!) from the slimmest crossword puzzle magazine to a tome of magisterial import. While kids books are priced at $1.5, still way out of line for a reuse store. These prices are higher than Seattle's. However if you are looking for well maintained items, check them out. Bargains especially for books, not so much. read more

Absolutely love this thrift store they have a really great selection of clothes and antique stuff for a great price! My only issue and if you work there PLEASE I AM BEGGING you to organize your vintage clothes section by size. I love vintage clothing but don't have the time to browse every rack trying to find my size in that section so I usually stick to the middle section which is organized by size but if I ever have the time I would like to find clothes in the vintage section but I honestly wish they would just reorganize their racks over there by size! It makes it easier for everyone especially shoppers who are a specific size like petite and plus size shoppers. This used to be my favorite place to shop for unusual finds at a great price but since the expansion - which is wonderful - they've instituted putting outrageous prices on everything. So yes, plenty of stock, but at some point the price-setters might care to reconsider and decide this stuff isn't going to move at the current rates. Such a great endeavor but my opinion is that management is shooting themselves in the proverbial foot. read more

Such a fun place to shop, great prices, and fairly organized. Sometimes the people who run check out are a little quiet or short with customers, but I never take it personal just an understanding of a possible language barrier. They have a fun "vintage" / designer section. Some of these prices are a little higher than I'd pay for some of the pieces, but also understandable because I am looking for something to flip. They have their books well organized, their clothes are clearly marked in sections, and their furniture is put in a back room space. There are some parts that look as if things are just thrown in a pile, but if you're like me you like a good dig through things. This is mostly around the silverware / baby section. Just a few things that could be worked on but overall I really enjoy coming here and never leave empty handed. read more

GNT offers a 5 gallon paint bucket of clothing for $25. You can get a ton of clothing! This is a really fun low commitment way to update your clothing stash. Honestly, if I'm shopping at Anthropologie I feel like I need to have a lifelong commitment to the clothes, and you can't even get a candle for $25... but at GNT I can get five gallons of clothing. One secret I discovered for thrifting is the shrinkage factor. I think people often shrink perfectly good clothes at home in their dryers and then donate them to GNT because they no longer fit. So...size up a little bit when you shop and you might find gems (that you can't shrink). Or, this is an elaborate magical thinking exercise on my part to justify the fact that I have gone up a size, haha! Anyways, I recently had a baby so it was nice to get a chunk of clothing in this hopefully temporary size. But, sizing aside, clothes shopping is a lot more fun when it isn't breaking the bank. A note about dressing rooms- make sure to ask the staff to let you in, and be prepared to just take in 5 items. They'll hold the extra clothes for you. read more

The inventory was better than most thrift shops but the prices aren't thrift store prices. They shouldn't brand themselves as a thrift store. Shoes for $30 or $40, basic shirts for $15 and jeans for nearly $20. read more

I recently checked out this store for the first time on one of my thrift store days. The .49 tag deal is amazing and you can pick up some great items for cheap without having to worry about going a certain day as the deal lasts all week. They change the tags every Monday so best to go early in the week for the good stuff. I loved this place because it was small and not a ton of people digging around that you have to work your way through like some of the other thrift stores in town and also, customer service is wonderful. However, their clothes really aren't that organized, sizes are mixed up and they have quite a bit of items that are dirty (which isn't really a problem since they get washed right away anyway but in comparison to other thrift shops) or ripped, stained, ect so make sure to check your items carefully. Also, the smell inside is a little musty and it lingers with the clothes but once washed, they're fine. Anyway, for the price, who is to complain? They also have bags up front you can fill a whole paper bag for $25 of any clothing item. The non .49 cent items are also all reasonably priced, I will definitely be returning here. read more

Since relocating their store, they have dropped the low prices they used to have and most items are a single price, regardless of condition, in their clothing department. The $25 buckets are gone. When I was looking for affordable clothing during my last job hunt, I could often do the color tags or a bucket and have a variety of nice clothing. Now, pants are a set price of $5, tops are a set price of $4 and so on. I'm out of work again right now and can't afford to shop them. I always appreciated being able to bring home many pieces for my buck, but now only a few. Last time I went, when I was still working, I paid $65 for what I would have only paid $20 for before. I get that they need more revenue, but they'd have so much more turnover if they didn't have fixed prices and went back to the old ways. A lot of people are hurting for affordable clothing in this town. read more

Stopped by their today. they are committed to turning over the clothes! Fill a 5 gallon bucket for $20. I got 2 nice jackets, several blouses and sweaters, a sweater, shirt for my son and 2 skirts. This was my favorite thrift store a year ago, but their quality has gone down and prices have gone up. They've had partially full bags of rocks from the dollar store marked for over $2, a stack of cardboard circles taped together for over $2, and lots of very overpriced shoes and clothing. I'm not a fan of the newer "ritzy" rack at the front of the store. It's all even more overpriced than the rest of the clothing. Denim shirt for $20, child sized vest for $15? Plus, I don't understand how their rules work. Some cashiers are willing to give discounts if something is damaged, but other cashiers say they're not allowed to alter prices ‍ read more
