They closed the doors after 25 yrs of business and didint tell customers builders or even the staff. plus he didnt pay the staff and wont answer or return phones calls. so many red flags but he had us all fooled. There was already a bad reputation guess he can have a bad legacy too. read more

They sent some guy out to do our regular furnace tune up. He'd been with company for only two months, we later were told. This guy spent like 20 minutes in the furnace room, came back up and more or less told me our furnace was toast. He had turn off everything because "the furnace was unsafe to use" due to a cracked heat exchanger. Needless to say, we asked someone else to come out and have a look and they confirmed what we already suspected - this company just wanted to sell us a new furnace; there was nothing wrong with our furnace. Really disappointed because we have used this company for a few years. They have lost our business. read more

40 year old furnace died during this last Calgary's week long deep freeze (temps of -25 during the day). Started looking around for service/costs etc. Some initial confusion by the person who took my first call to them delayed my service by 1 day (thought I just wanted to "talk" to someone vs. my actual "my furnace died, I need a new one ASAP" request.) Once things got started their people kicked into gear! No temporary portable heaters were available, but as soon as some were they delivered them right away; no charge. Initial consultation with their estimator was great and friendly. Open honest pricing and discussions. One price, all in, for everything. On Wed we booked furnace removal/new install for the Friday. They showed early Fri am, and stayed until everything was working. Including extra outside piping, duct work, and a new wall core. Installers were easy to talk to and gave them room enough to do their thing. Took a little longer then they expected, but everything is tidy and clean. Very happy with their service so far. Just in Time serviced our furnaces for years. Recently we switched companies and we were appalled to learn of very high pricing and about their total lack of customer care. Five years ago Just in Time replaced the inducer motor and charged us $625. We just replaced the inducer motor again (after only five years) and a different company did the same work and charged us $375 plus then gave us an additional 10% off for being a repeat client. I tried phoning several times (15+) and left several messages for Justin to contact me. I eventually did get his direct line but never answered his phone no matter what time of day I tried. I was just hoping he could explain the huge price difference and help me understand why it was more expensive five years ago?? I would not recommend using this company. read more

Hired this company on a referral from the contractor that did my basement renovation. Was able to get them in within 4 days. Spoke with Justin there and he was very knowledgeable and friendly. Gave me a rough estimate of what it would cost to clean both my high efficiency furnaces including all the vents, ducts and returns. The price was about what was expected considering we had 2 high efficiency furnaces (albeit a little higher than what I initially thought) but he offered a small referral discount which was great and helped offset the bill. Crew was great, really thorough and spent a decent amount of time at my home and they made sure that the dryer vent was put back on correctly as the original homebuilder did a really crappy job running it outside without a seal or proper insulation. We were charged a nominal fee for this but I'm very grateful that they did it because the other companies I had hired in the past totally overlooked this or in all likelihood did not clean the dryer vent at all which btw is a huge fire hazard if it is not done regularly. One of our furnaces had very limited access to get the big tube they use to suck all the gunk out and thought we would probably need an hVac guy come in and have to re-route some pvc pipes. The tech who did the furnace check up showed us that the one pipe was not sealed and easily removed so in the future, anyone could remove it and use the bypass they created for future maintenance. Other companies we used in the past didn't even attempt to clean the second furnace because of that pipe and one told me it would cost a few hundred to get it re-routed, which it obviously did not need. Solid 5/5... great techs, honest, spent a good amount of time making sure things were done correctly and fixed my dryer vent that I had no idea wasn't installed correctly. read more

Very bad service. Finished in less then 30 min. Just barely touched the vents, ruined my front yard plants and fence, irresponsible, not even apologized. They even tried to have me pay for more vents. They said it was a counting mistake when I asked them to recount with me. Stay away from them. Just in time came out to install a A/C unit. I couldn't be happier with the service and install. It was great! They came in and had a bunch of guys and it was all done in one day! I was able to get a discount because I did it a couple of months ago when they were not as busy. I'm so excited to use it this year! I've never owned a house with A/C gone are the days of sleeping in my sweat and using a super loud fan. Great job thanks again you guys will be getting tons of referrals from this girl. read more

Very professional and prompt service. They were able to accommodate my busy schedule and they were able to book my appointment on a Saturday afternoon. The best part is they were able to complete the job in a reasonable amount of time and they cleaned up the mess when they were finished. Called at 8am and said that they could be there in under two hours - AND WERE. :) They fixed our furnace and tidied up their work-mess after. I've used Just In Time Furnace a number of times in the past. Each time they've been prompt, quick, and accurate with their service. Admittedly, phoning the company to book the service could be better, in that the person answering the phone isn't always the most amicable (they are professional, but not super pleasant). The latest service was furnace and duct cleaning, and Neil and James did a great job. They were prompt, pleasant, and explained the whole process. They even came back when they realized my dryer vent had been missed (I bet other companies wouldn't). They were respectful of my space and made sure to leave things as they found them. read more

I called Just in Time Furnace because my furnace wouldn't start. I had already determined that the problem was the igniter and told the person on the phone that. I had already removed the bad igniter myself. I was told it would be just under $100 for the service call and a min of $100 even if I don't want the work done after the tech comes out and I get a quote. So basically, $200 for doing nothing if I don't accept the quote. No problem I thought. How much could it be to replace a 40 dollar igniter, a 10 min job. Well, the tech gets here and quotes me $350, including the service call fee. That's right, he charged me $250 for a 40 dollar part that took 10 min to install. Remember I had already diagnosed the problem and removed the old part. He agreed the minute he saw the old part that I was correct and just replaced it. I find this kind of price gouging to be completely unethical and disgraceful and I want people to be fore warned before calling these people. read more

Aaron and Darcy did an excellent job. They cleaned my furnace very well: they cleaned up the old dust hidden in the pipes for 20 years. They are very knowledgable and professional not only on furnace cleaning. There was a major water leaking in my basement. They heard the sound and inspected it. They brought it to my attention and talked to the condo management about it. Now the management is hand on to fix it. That was a big release not only on the furnace cleaning but also on the water system problem. I definitely will use and recommend Just in Time Furnace again. They had done a great job! read more

Booked a duct cleaning and furnace and humidifier tune up. The guy on the phone was friendly and knowledgeable, the service man that came to the house was also friendly and he did fix the furnace that was short circuiting. However, despite paying a substantial amount of money to repair the humidifier, the repair only lasted a couple of months. Found that out the hard way when I received an astronomical water bill. The city was able to pin point when the water usage went off the rails- I'm talking 3-4 times the amount it should be! After doing their diagnostics tests it was immensely obvious the problem was the humidifier. I'm pissed I spent the money to fix it and it broke 4 months later and I didn't realize for a YEAR that my water usage was going crazy- I didn't look at monthly usage, my bill is combined and my totally monthly amounts were expensive but I chalked it up to the old, energy INefficient house we just moved into. I would not recommend a company that does not effectively do what you pay them to. read more
