I had George "Trim" a couple trees in my yard among other things. When he came to give me the…read moreestimate, he told me that he has been cutting trees for over 30 years and was near retirement. I couldn't tell. George has a true passion for his work. He is an arborist by trade and knows exactly what to cut and, more importantly, what not to cut in order to keep the tree healthy. Also, he is licensed and insured (this criteria was mandatory for me) which put my mind at ease. His quote was very competitive. For the quality of work and piece of mind he provided, my money was well spent. George works with his 30 year old son, who has about 10 years in the tree business and takes after his father. When he arrived to cut my trees, he had a 4 man crew and all of them were decked out in safety gear (a huge plus). I stood outside and watched them work for a while. Instead of just letting branches fall, they tied ropes to them and softly guided them to the ground so as not to damage my fence or any plants nearby. George recommenced that I cut down two trees that didn't serve a purpose in the context of the yard and even ground the stumps out for me before he left. You can't tell they were ever there. When they were done working, George and his crew left my yard cleaner than when they arrived. I wont hesitate to call them again the next time I need my trees cut.

I thought I'd give Mays & Son another shot since they did such a great job last time with my shed. A short while later, the gazebo is done.
