And their prices are competitive to big box gyms. They have plenty of 35lb plates which a lot of gyms don't have. No Kg plates but that's fine for me. They don't have super hardcore lifting equipment (pro squat racks) but it's a good mix between free weights and machines while about half the machines use plates. My daughter was very specific about what she needed from this gym. It was to train for dance after having knee surgery. Imagine driving 30 minutes to get to Just Move to be told you have to wear shoes after dancing there a month in socks. There solution is to wear ballet shoes. Same material as socks. She has to train post surgery the same way she did before surgery. She doesn't wear shoes. What a big waste of money this turned out to be but they got the $100 cancellation fee plus a whole month paid since they require a 30 day notice. She will not go one day in that month.

The golf course features a handful of holes on the back nine on a giant lake with very nice scenery. The course was very well maintained and was in excellent shape. The tee boxes were superb, the fairways were lush and full of grass, and the greens rolled perfectly. Around the greens were manicured neatly and the course had no flaws whatsoever. Hats off to the superintendent. The layout really fit my eye with some challenging driving holes calling for different shot shapes throughout the round. The greens were a good size, although being precise with your approach shots is the key to shooting a good score here. The greens have plenty of slope to them, so it's crucial not only to hit the green, but to knock it somewhat close to the flagstick. At just over 7,000 yards from the tips, the golf course can play long, especially with a little bit of wind, which is fun, yet also challenging. My favorite thing about the Country Club of Winter Haven is that you really don't feel like you're in Florida. It's very quiet and peaceful on the course and the birds chirping are about all that you hear. If you have the opportunity to play a round of golf here, you won't be disappointed.

This is an old course and was designed in 1923 but has had improvements and changes to holes to keep it updated and challenging. You can tell from the putting green that they were rolling fast and furious! The range was not big but enough to serve it purpose. Chipping area with bunkers helped the warm up session. Tee boxes were in very good shape so it was easy to get a good set up on every tee shot. The fairways were immaculate and the rough was kind short so it was forgiving if you were not straight. Bunkers were all in perfect shape and raked to perfection. There was always at least one side of the hole that had an out of bounds so you had to have some accuracy. Decent amount of water on the course too so it kept you honest! The silver lining to this course is the greens though. The surface was immaculate with no discoloration or any weeds anywhere. The stimp meter was high and the ball was rolling fast and true. While they didn't seem like they were too challenging they also had a sneaky undulation to them so there wasn't one flat green! This is definitely a course to play if you get a chance!

Always a five star experience…read more There is so much parking and depending on what you want to do you can park close to where you want to be. We always park close to the main playground and start there. It's actually a giant circle when you think about it, so we start at that playground then we move on to where there's the owl playground and the spinning carousels. Then we continue onwards to the treehouse, from the treehouse we go to where there's the main building where they had shaved ice and you can get food if you want then it's an easy walk back to the car. We always bring the kids scooters because the walk is a little far for them, they are five and seven. I did learn this time around that if you are older like my in-laws this park may be a little too spaced out, especially when it's hot outside. However, there is a tram that will bring you from place to place so we did end up taking the tram from the main building back to where we parked. We spent about an hour racing around just giant park. There is a lot of shade, but also you do need sunscreen. It is a majority outside and everyone knows how hot Florida gets. I think it is brilliant that at the main building they have shaved ice. Also, at the treehouse they sell drinks, a water bottle was three dollars, which was actually pretty reasonable so I got the kids water. Even though it's hot in Florida I really like the kids spending time outside so this is a fantastic place to spend a couple hours. I'm sure we could spend even more time here if we ever decide to check out rooftop bar or the food place, but for now we've only experienced the multitude of playgrounds. It never feels crazy, busy, but that's probably because it is so spread out that families can be all over this huge park.

All of the rides are relatively short waits with less than 10 minutes for each. This is great because kids have such short attention spans. The rides are very appropriate for toddlers. They are similar to a carnival in my opinion. They have simple motion with lots of cute Peppa Pig theming. The best part of the day was certainly the splash pad. Our kids really loved the slides. Make sure you don't have zippers on your kids swimsuits, they do not allow zippers and will make you cover up or change. For food and drinks there is a restaurant but I highly suggest bringing your own foods and drinks. The prices are a little crazy in my opinion but on par with other theme parks. To me Peppa Pig is very sensory friendly. I would highly suggest for a child with sensory needs. My only complaint about Peppa Pig Theme Park is the lack of misters and fans throughout. Despite having a splash pad and shaded areas it's still very hot inside. Especially at the security check in area. Make sure you bring some fans. I would still return until my kids are sick of it. Great experience.

On the north side of the lake is a boat ramp. There is a fishing pier on the west side of the lake with an observation gazebo that offers a beautiful view of the lake. The 2.5 mile Lake Wailes Trail, a lighted and paved hike/bike path winds through the park for exercise enthusiasts. It leads around the lake from the south side to Kiwanis Park on the northeast corner at N. Lake Shore Blvd. and Cephia St. It should be noted that there are no restrooms in the park. This passive park that is perfect for a stroll or a picnic lunch. It is also a great place for bird watchers. Migrating song birds can be spotted in the trees in spring and fall. Around the edge of the lake are Grackles and Red-winged Blackbirds. On the shore are Least Bitterns, White Ibises, Anhingas, Florida Sandhill Cranes and winter ducks. Common Loons inhabit the area in winter. The stately trees add to the old Florida look of the area and it easy to see why Mr. Wailes fell in love with the lake and view.
