The thief/ so called painter broke my dual combination brief case hoping to find something valuable. Luckily, I only had personal documents in it. After damaging the brief case Mr. thief Dillon hid the brief case behind my cloths.. it took me over a week to find the brief case. I would caution everyone to stay away from paint star. I don't want to accuse the company of being partner with Dillon but I would have expected the company to run background check before using subcontractors or at the minimum inform me that the person coming to my house is a subcontractor. Moreover, the work was less than mediocre. Several areas need to be redone but I would not call back as I would never allow paint star into my house ever again.

We met with several companies, including some larger painting firms but after meeting Jerome it felt like a breath of fresh air. In the initial site visit/estimate we got to learn about Hansen painting co in which Jerome after 30 years of industry experience started his own company. Jerome was friendly, easy to talk to, detail oriented, professional and had a great sense of humor! He ensured in our meeting that we understood his process and had a clear understanding of the work he includes - as well he made super helpful suggestions regarding paint brands, finishes/sheen and helped my wife build confidence in all color selections. Jerome scheduled the work 2 weeks out. The first day they taped, covered everything and got right to it. Jerome was on site with his employees working with them the whole day and it was clear the respect his whole team had for him and how they adopted his values and craftsmanship. Jerome and his team finished full interior paint on our 3000sqft home 2 days ahead of schedule! The day before finishing, Jerome walked through with me and pointed out the small touch ups him and his team were completing the next day prior to closing out, and insisted we point out anything we were unhappy with, in which he called out anything I noticed and more. to be honest I was still in awe of the quality of work. As most have experienced home remodeling and construction can be an arduous challenge. After…read morecontemplating several alternatives for our home we chose to work with Dillman & Upton primarily considering our initial experience with their designer and our perception of their team's quality Beginning with our first conversation, we believed that our designer provided sound advice and guidance, had valuable experience, was knowledgeable, considerate, thorough, and accessible for advice, suggestions and questions. The designer proved out, thankfully. Interactions with the D&U office staff were overall good. A significant surprise was the assignment of both subcontractors other than D&U's usual team. While it is impossible to directly compare our subcontractors with D&U's longstanding team, our's did not have deep, meaningful, value added experience dealing with D&U schematics, overall design and details. This required or significant involvement of our time to interpret details of the blueprint to affect the design goals. We had to call our designer and adjourn major meetings several times for reinforcement of the construction details. Requesting and requiring that some work being redone and changed to conform with a specific design specifications. We had to be our own advocate for a correct job and request repairs for damages to our home (three walls which require our own sanding, priming and repainting). Most disconcerting we had to be our own on-site project manager. A very important aspect we believe dealing with D&U would have provided. Perhaps D&U will say this is over stated and normal construction angst. However, we do not believe it was completed in good faith, as contracted and representative. It was far more tension to get what we paid for wanted or believe was appropriate. In retrospect we believe that the subcontractors should've been highly versed in D&U design goals and had the ability and desire to fully comprehend blueprints and call D&U directly when necessary to discern and clarify. Is this the best craftsmanship that our community offers? Opportunity for improvement include addressing all of the above concerns. Additionally, the price, documentation and communication regarding change orders must be improved. We recognize that some contractors or self-motivated and completed high-quality work, the first time. At our projects conclusion the project, while painful several times, was mostly completed successfully.

WILLIE was lying to me and telling me that his boss told him to collect money from me, I paid half of the money and then the other half was supposed to be due by the end of July. Well, WILLIE came back to the home and threatened my mother so we had to get the police out there Lehman. The boss said that he would make it right with my mom and that he would be out within a few days to fix the porch and cut down a tree to make it right when we have not heard from him back-and-forth back-and-forth he keeps lying and saying he's coming, but never shows up. Please do not contract with this company. They have put my mother through a lot of unnecessary stress.
