Little did I know how much damage that would cause to my brand new paint job. It seemed that every little thing would mark it up and just tarnish what was once a beautiful finish. I had heard about PPF and ceramic coatings, but they just seemed too expensive. Well, in hindsight, I made a bad call. When I traded in that car for a new one, the first thing I did was call East Valley Detail to get a ceramic coating. The result is outstanding. But even more so, they took the time to get everything perfect. I figured that a brand new car would be a quick job for them, but they were meticulous in their work. It was a real delight to see the care and pride they took in their work. These are guys who love cars and love to make them look beautiful. The pictures I'm attaching weren't taken directly after the coating. The real test for me was after my first hand wash. If a busy-lazy person like me, who hasn't hand washed a car in 20 years can make a car look this good, I think that speaks even more to the quality that they did. And you know what, it actually took me less time to wash my car that an automated paint destroyer, if you count drive time. Yes a ceramic coating is pricey, but hot damn, is it ever worth it.

Brought my truck in for tint all around and the sun roof. Dropped off at 8am was told they would…read morestart on it "right now" 9:30am they brought it around and washed it for some reason. Eventually it was 12:30 and they wrapped up. 3 days later i called because all of the windows had dirt under the tint but i just wanted the pass front window and windshield re-done because those were terrible. Again i took a day off work, dropped off at 8am. They started on the truck at 3pm. I know this because i showed up and walked in. Turns out they tinted it with the wrong tint. So they fixed it again.... Still a glob of adhesive (I'm guessing from the tint) and a bunch of highly visible dirt in the windshield and side window. Im giving up on this place as they honestly just don't care about other peoples cars even after paying $750 for a pickup truck to be tinted with their "tier 1 ceramic tint". When my windshield eventually cracks. I'll have another glass shop replace the glass and tint the windshield correctly. My wife tool a risk and had her $30k 2025 pilot done here a few weeks after my issues. They completed her entire car in 1.5hrs somehow with zero issues. But mine took 1.5 days on two separate occasions and 2 (technically 3) attempts and it's still not right in my $92k truck.

After dialing through several services I landed on H&K and spoke with Henry. He assured me he'd be available during time I needed him (within just a few days) and we spoke about the detail packages he offered. He happened to be in my area so I texted my address and he arrived within 5 minutes. After looking over my SUV he gave a quote and we booked a time. I ended up having some drama with the vehicle so we had to reschedule. Again, I called last minute and Henry was able to accommodate my short time frame. Out of the gate, I was already impressed with H&K's flexibility and willingness to help a customer in need. On the day of the detail Henry showed up with his rig, ready to go. He took his time washing, cleaning, scrubbing, polishing, buffing our SUV to every little detail. He worked on areas I would probably never think of- he cleaned the inside of our air vents, removed acrylic paint from a small area in the back seat, buffed out a large area of light scratches, cleaned the wheels to perfection and conditioned the leather interior. I had walked outside once or twice to check in and Henry did an awesome job stopping to explain what he was doing, what products he used (and why they were superior to other competitors), etc. It was nice to know his experience translated not only to an exceptional detail but also trade secrets/tricks to bring new life back to certain areas that needed the extra attention. In the end, I was extremely satisfied with H&K's detail. Henry spent 3 hours cleaning every inch of my SUV paying careful attention to every aspect of the cleaning, inside and out. He cleaned the door jams, the underside of moldings, the nooks and crannys most places would likely overlook. It was this extra effort that will definitely bring me back to H&K and also refer to friends and family. I feel the pricing is competitive and worth every cent.
