    Moules frites
    Alexa M.

Probably the best dining experience we had in Paris. I speak a tiny bit of French - enough to get around - but the staff were so nice and accommodating and spoke English (without an attitude like some places!). Most importantly the food was incredible. I love moules frites and couldn't wait to order some in France. They were delicious with the garlic sauce. We also had oysters that were fresh and yummy. We had a bottle of their own wine that was also good and only 27 euro. Overall great time at Juste and if I go back to Paris I might have to pop back on!

I walked up without checking online or asking for a place and it was a wonderful choice. Sitting outside as a light rain feel I slurped huge, briney oysters and a bucket of butter and garlic wine sauced muscles. While the seafood was delicious the compound butter took it another level. Go if you are near by.

I came to Juste highly recommended by a friend's friend. I was dead tired from walking in Chateau de Versailles all day before I came to Juste. When I came in, I just plopped myself on the nearest comfy chair. One of the gentlemen came over and explained that when I'm ready, I can go up to the front and someone will help me with the order. After recouping for a few minutes, I went up to the front and the other gentlemen explained the menu items to me. All of the items come pre-packaged and you can either pick them up and cook at home or dine in and let the kitchen do the work. I ultimately picked out the squid ink pasta, the mussels, cod fish with mash potato, razor clams, crab claws, and oysters. Let me start by saying that the oysters are to. die. for! If you eat nothing else, you HAVE to have the oysters. It is so fresh, so briny, and so plump. I don't think I've ever had oysters this good. They weren't cheap. The three I had cost 1.5, 1.8, and 2.8 Euros respectively. Of course, the best being the 2.8 Euros one. I could taste the ocean with those oysters and felt instantly transported to the nearest beach. The other highlight are the crab claws and the mussels which are really fresh and freshly prepared. The broth for the mussels is also so good and great for sopping up with bread. I don't like sand in my shellfish and the gentlemen promised that if I find sand in even just one mussels, that he would take it off the bill. I didn't find any sand at all. The squid ink pasta tasted flavorless on its own. However, the mussels were rather salty, so I would say the pasta is a good vehicle to balance out the flavors. The cod fish was just meh. I like cod, so that's why I went for it, but I wouldn't miss it. In the many menu items explained to me, razor clams was one of them, but they were readily available at the counter to pick from. So when I saw another table receive their order after I had placed mine, we decided we had a little room left in our stomach and decided to order the razor clams as well. Like their other seafood, the razor clams were fresh, but it did have a bit of sand. They weren't as flavorful as the other seafood we had, so I'm a little indifferent about it. In total, we spent around 45 Euros for all the food we had. When you begin to order, it doesn't look like a lot of food, but once you start eating, it fills you up. Most importantly, the service here is awesome. Attentive and polite staff. They never had the "French" attitude. Juste is easily one of the places I would recommend and will come back to when I visit Paris again.

Calimero because I was not going to make a basic pun about the name of the restaurant. But I think after reading my article, the owners will say: it's an injustice! It is ranked high on Trip Advisor, though, as usual, some rate a fast food establishment as a real restaurant. The concept is funny : you select your dishes on a stall of fishmonger. The food is precooked and packaged in a plastic bucket and under vacuum. It is then warmed in the kitchen and served. Pay at the counter before sitting down. The name "Juste" asserts the will to offer live fresh products from Breton producers. But not really diversity in supplies since almost everything comes from Maison Thaëron in Riec-sur-Belon. We must first pay tribute to the press agent who has managed to get a number of articles in the press to turn pale with jealousy of beautiful starred houses. In two years, it's impressive. Let's start with the whelks. They are well cooked, beautiful, very tasteful thanks to a cooking water well flavored, but a little small. Obviously, the advantage is that they are tender. The disadvantage is that their shell is thinner and therefore more fragile. And when cooked, there is breakage on the edges and therefore full of chips. So it would be wise to significantly shake them out of the cooking to eliminate a maximum of pieces that make eating difficult. The three scallops, from Erquy, are honest despite cooking and reheating (this is the House system). The pilaf rice accompanying them is a little gratin. Fusilli are only good for Breton seaweed, because without any real taste and not enough salted. At 16.50 euros 3 Saint-Jacques, thank you kindly throw your chipped plates in the trash. Good glass of white wine at a very honest rate. On the table is a bottle of blue lobster oil that offers a striking contrast between a delectable aroma and a lack of total taste. Why a so low note? Because I removed a point in the toilet that, if they are Handicap and clean, are cluttered with fish boxes (clean) and a cart. I'm sorry, but that's really not the place. And bulk toilet paper in a pantry, it may be "fashionable Breton", but install a toilet paper dispenser is not part of insurmountable achievements. And installing the hand dryer under cupboards, this is vice. Secondly, I know that it is very difficult to limit the use of tea towels to the holding of pots and other stoves, the basic rule of HACCP. On the other hand, you do not walk between the tables with your tea towels hanging and wiping your hands ostentatiously in front of the customers. We all did it. But in the kitchen ... In conclusion, as said in the introduction, this is not a restaurant in the common sense of the term since we choose our dishes in stall, that they are already pre-cooked, we pay at the cashier before eating. We will say that it is 10% expensive for what it is but the food is of good quality. Check of 31.20 euros for 1.

Oysters are amazing ... service great

Amazing oysters with a great eclectic atmosphere. Service was superb with waitress staff being attentive. Highly recommend and don't be shy if you do not speak french :)

    Awesome place for seafood

This is a very good place to try fresh seafood in Paris. The menu doesn't have a lot of choice hence its quite easy. Oysters and clams were really fresh and is cozy.

    Nice little boutique restaurant!

Must try: Chocolate Mousse. Mussels and oysters were fresh. Pasta with clam was ok but not special.

But the actual food presented here would probably leave you hungry. The pink prawns are nothing more special than shrimps we ordinarily buy from stores. Mussels: each piece is so tiny, and the cream sauce flavor covered up what I wanted to taste- the mussel. The oysters were the only items that were decent. Very disappointed with the lobster roll. We have had lobster rolls in many places of the world, this one does not cut it. For 19 euros, I got maybe two bites of lobster and/ or crayfish meat inside of bread that was over-buttered and so doughy. Each time I chewed the bread it seemed to grow into a bigger bite in my mouth. Interestingly, someone else who also ordered the lobster roll had his bread partially cut off by the chef. Considering how this bread is, the cutting makes total sense. I later asked the chef why that one was done differently, he said: "No, it's done the same way. The bread was not cut smaller." (Although I had just walked pass the cutting board and there it was the rest of the bread still right there...) Likable restaurant concept, pretty photos on their website, but I wish I picked a different place for our special meal in Paris.
