The vents look like they haven't been cleaned in a long time, and the overall condition of the store is honestly concerning. We came in around 7 PM because my daughter needed a dress for an event. When we went to the fitting rooms, there were no employees around, no lighting, and no signage indicating the fitting rooms were closed. We waited for assistance, but no one came. Since there was already another customer using a room, we assumed it would be fine to quickly try on one dress. Shortly after, the manager approached us and immediately spoke in a very accusatory and disrespectful tone, as if we had done something wrong. She claimed we moved a barricade and insisted she "put it there herself." I calmly explained that we did not move anything, but she continued to argue instead of trying to understand the situation. There was no explanation as to why a clothing store would have fitting rooms closed well before closing time, and more importantly, there was no sign informing customers. That's incredibly frustrating when trying to shop efficiently. Another customer also asked to speak to the manager due to similar concerns, and the same dismissive attitude was given. There was no attempt at de-escalation or basic customer service. To make matters worse, the manager made snarky comments about customers to another employee within earshot. Between the lack of cleanliness, poor communication, and unprofessional behavior, this was a very disappointing experience. The selection alone is not worth dealing with the environment or the treatment from staff.

My review may be biased because I don't like Walmart. They need to pay employees more. I am a Costco kind of girl. At noon on a Monday, the parking lot was full but the store seemed empty. Certainly customer service was. I was expecting to get a physical card but they were out. So I will have to figure the app out. The appearance of Sam's compared to Costco is that it is more dark and dingy. Seemed like a sad store to me. The entrance had flowering baskets but not the big beautiful stuff Costco carries. But unlike Costco, the aisles are labeled. Costco moves stuff around. That is frustrating I was there for 4 things which their app said they had. Nope, only had 2 of what I came for. This store is more than 20 miles away and with current gas prices I like to know if they are out. Costco's app tells me when something is in stock or low stock. Not having what I came in for was a real turnoff. Prices. Comparing prices they are close to the same as Costco. They also carry many of the Kirkland brands under their Members Mark label. I did not see any of the good premium brands that Costco carries at an extremely good discount. Quality...I will get my baked goods from Costco. Sam's bakery is not enticing. Same with prepared foods. Produce looked more iffy as well. Samples...didnt try them. They weren't clearly marked and the people manning various sample stations clearly weren't interested in dispensing them. Checkout was easy but confusing. Were those weird things self checkout because unlike Costco, you can also scan items as you put them in your cart and just leave. The checkout woman was friendly. When I approached checkout, there were only 2 customers for all the registers. All in all, for me, Sam's is 20 mi away, Costco 40. I will drive the 40 miles unless I am in the Mansfield area. At least Costco lets me know in their app that what I want is in stock plus I love the Costco bakery and prepared foods. But having written this, if you are a Wal-Mart person, Sam's may be right up your alley. I like brighter happier stores. This store was dingy and sad even though the store itself was clean. I will not renew my membership unless it stays at $15!!!!

Having previously worked in retail, this is a clear misrepresentation of the possible solutions. It was disrespectful to claim it was out of their control and not at least be upfront about the situation. Also, the dressing room closes at 8pm despite the store being open until 9pm. Not recommended!
