Shoe Dept. Encore is located inside Northpark Mall…read more As we entered the store, it seemed like a ghost store. We didn't see any employees. We saw a couple trying to find shoes for their kids. Again, no employees around. The store is quite large with many selections. They sell men's, women's, and kids shoes. They also have socks, handbags, and backpacks. We had to dig to find the correct shoe size. My nephew tried the pair he wanted. He walked around to make sure it was comfortable. As we entered the checkout area to make our purchase, no one was around. We waited, looked around, and said, "hello"!!! It took a while, but a young man finally came to help us. No hello. He seemed annoyed. Overall, a great selection of shoes. In this economy, the retail space to rent has to cost some dollars. I'm very surprised they are in business with the lack of employees helping customers. I can order shoes on Amazon if this is the way the store is being run. I don't like giving bad reviews. I always give a place a chance. This one started off bad and ended with a frumpy employee. The value is not there for me to shop here, again.

I've only had them for a month and the inside of the boot is coming apart. Seam stitched too close to the edge. Stuff happens. Red Wing has a warranty. So no biggie. The lady tells me they are on back order and will be at least 10 days. I asked, can we check other stores and just get a pair. As these take me up to 10 minutes to get on due to trying to keep the fabric from bunching up that has ripped. She is like yea, you can go to Springfield and get them. I asked seriously. That's your fix? She then precedes to give me all kinds of attitude asking what my problem is and what I would do to fix it. I simply stated that I would contact the store immediately and try and get them shipped to this store. Simple. I'm right here. It would fix it. Not tell the customer to drive 90 miles. She was one of the most rude, non helping, individuals that I have dealt with. And yes, she is the manager. I called corporate to issue a complaint against her. I hope Red Wing follows through. Follow-up: Went back to get my boots, had a terrific customer experience with gentleman. I was putting my boots on, and the manager comes out. First thing she asks, is if I was ready to remove my review. I laughed it off, and stated not at this present time. She precedes to have a "discussion" with me about it for 6 1/2 minutes. I am Not going back here unless I have to until this lady is gone.

He brought out at least 10 chacos styles so I new how they all felt. They have different arch levels. Then there's styles with a toe strap and without. This isn't an quick shoe to buy. After probably 39min I made my decision. My poor husband. 2 - while I'm trying on ... Michael is putting cork oil on my birkies I bought there last year. I educated me on how to clean my Chaco. I also bought my nursing shoes alegria there 3 years ago. They were so right when they educated me on how good a shoe they are. I have worn them everyday and have bought probably 3 new cork inserts. They are like a Toyota--- change the oil/tires and you're good!
