In the end Premier Inn won me over with their excellent competitive price... Both nights for £109, most other places were that alone for one night! Was pleasantly surprised to receive a "check in online" email two days beforehand. I knew we would be checking in late so that was very handy, first time I've ever had that at a hotel. When we got to the hotel all we had to do was ask for the key.. Hotel completely exceeded my expectations, had thought Premier Inn was low budget, but they have done the rooms out really nicely. Large room with King size bed, large wall mounted flat screen TV and even a chaise lounge. Tea & coffee amenities and a hairdryer finished the look. Bed so comfy and crisp white sheets. Nice clean updated bathroom, although no toiletries other than wall mounted soap in shower and at the basin, but no problem for us. Location was very good for us, on the right side of Wimbledon. It would be good for anyone that needed motorway access also as that's just down the road. All in all, very impressed and would def choose Premier Inn again

The hotel was nicely decorated with a chic modern feel. The function room was a good size and we enjoyed a 3 course meal, the usual speeches and awards before the room hosted a disco The food, which came from the hotel's kitchens, tried to offer choice but was average in its execution. What pulled the star rating up were the staff, who made us feel welcome and we felt well looked after. This is a nice venue for events and if the bedrooms match the public areas, it would be a nice place to stay

(In their classic "Funday-Monday" printed glory, of course.) While words like "classic elegance" and "serene tranquility" should be spilling out of this review, all I can focus on is how amazing my fishy dishy was! The smoked salmon was perfect with capers and a glass of pinot grigio, while the trout was so melt-in-my-mouth delicious that I believe all ability to speak was reduced to primal grunting for a good 10 minutes. (Austen would have been proud, to be sure.) This is a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of central London and I highly recommend spending a day lounging on the patio, sipping white wine, and experiencing an afternoon of Hardy, Brontë (either sister is fine,) Eliot or Tennyson, in a Victorian setting come to life.

It is also very well placed to explore the area and restaurants of Putney. It is a well-priced London hotel with free parking, and accessible while avoiding the ultra-low emission zone. The staff are really helpful when needed, and we were lucky enough to have our room upgraded when we arrived. The room we were in was really nice, the bed was really comfortable and huge, and the coffee machine in the room was a great bonus. The fitness centre in the hotel also has everything you need for a trip away. Would recommend this hotel to a friend in a heartbeat.
