Even though there were more issues that presented themselves as the work began, the contractor kept me in the loop throughout the entire process. They did an amazing job and even with the extra issues they came in right at the estimated amount. They left the premises clean and I would definitely recommend them. Apex installed an excellent system, including two sump pumps and a new vapor barrier. They also redirected our gutter drainage to prevent water from running beneath the house. It was a big job, but they completed it at a reasonable price, on schedule, and kept us informed every step of the way. When I asked him where is the furnace,is it in the crawl space, 'yes its in the crawlspace. That's it. -I was concerned about a water stain above the fireplace. couldnt figure out. Just said the damper is wet. I walk in there is water in the fireplace and wood flooring is all warped. What did he do? Then I and the realtor walk out and from the ground we can see the chimney cap lifted off! Let alone climb on the roof, he never even looked up at the chimney even from ground level. He's a scam.
