I will assume some responsibility as the customer and increase the stars rating because this was a verbal quote and we should have asked for written documentation before the job started. Additionally, not sure about any "trade" or free service rendered in exchange for not putting the fence back because of vines. When I reached out no one said oh there was an agreement or we spoke to your wife and informed her we weren't putting that back. We were just told someone will be out there to fix it. i was never notified of a check issue or that there was an issue with any payment. I never heard anything actually so I can only assume you were fully paid there wasn't an issue. Also my wife was told she could pay by card during the quote (which was the plan) but at the end was then told no she must pay by check so she had to scramble to find checks. In the end: We did get three large trees cut down as asked. You will get the service you paid for, trees cut down and removed. I would just ensure any quote is written and documented so there aren't any miscommunications in what is expected at the end of the job. That becomes text back and forth and phone calls after they leave the job site. Communication-Communication-Communication would seem to be the largest issue here.

The crew that came to our house, Josh Joseph and Shawn (sp?), did a phenomenal job trimming the trees. See the pictures attached before and after. We had 11-12 palm trees that needed much trimming. The crew showed up at 9 am... like they said they were going to... ON TIME! They first walked through the yard with us confirming the job (it turns out that we had one additional tree that needed some work). Regardless, they started working right away. They only took a lunch break during the whole day. They worked until the very end around 4:30 pm. We have had a lot of contractors for our home. The good, bad, and ugly (and no-shows). This business is among the top. Price: We called and obtained quotes from several companies in the Jacksonville area. This company's price is about $5-$20 more per tree than the average, which I calculated to about $55-$60 per palm tree. However, the lack of headaches is completely worth it not to mention the time taken off to stay home that day. Also, they honored a coupon that was in the monthly flyer that saved us another $75. So in the end, it was pretty average for the service provided. Clean up: The crew cleaned up the yard nicely and spent some time to make sure all the palm leaves were picked up. Overall: I was satisfied with the services from Above and Beyond Tree folks. Would not hesitate to recommend them to the Yelp community. Great find! We wanted to get a head start of hurricane season before it got the best of us this year! Thus far, the joke's on us as we've not seen much activity yet this year. But, that's okay! It took a hot minute for our service to happen (just over a month from the time we got the estimate.) We didn't expect that... but apparently Curtis & his crew are in demand! It was well worth the wait, tho! Using a lift, they removed ALL dead foliage from our trees, removed overgrown branches, stacked all yard waste in a pile and then loaded it all into a dump truck via skid steer for same day removal! Aside from spruced up trees & tracks in the yard (think lawn mower tracks not muddy ruts!) from the skid steer -- no sign that they had even been there!
