What should have been a simple takedown, wash, and closure install turned into an all-day ordeal that completely derailed my Saturday. Looking back, I wish I had read the lower-rated reviews before booking. It's clear that closure installs are not this salon's strength, If I was to view the lowest reviews they mention the same issue. During my entire eight-hour visit, I wasn't offered water or food, and by the time the bundles were being sewn in, the work felt rushed and lacking care. The closure was barely customized, just washed and trimmed. There was no color or makeup applied to help it blend naturally. I asked for a small leave-out to cover the lace and weft, yet the result was one of the worst installs I've ever received. When the final reveal came, I could literally see the lace lifting. It felt like a slap in the face after such a long day. They offered 50% off, but it still feels like a waste of time and money, especially since I now have to find another stylist to fix it. This experience left me extremely disappointed and questioning the consistency of their service. I genuinely don't understand how this can be the same salon the Washington Commanders chose to represent their brand. After posting my review on Google, the salon responded with an apology and blamed a scheduling mix-up which is an explanation that doesn't address the quality issues or lack of professionalism. At this point, a full refund would have been more appropriate, as I clearly stated I wouldn't be returning. The money I paid for such poor service could have gone to a salon that values its clients, regardless of internal scheduling errors. Below is their display of service. I received confirmations beforehand and the staff even checked to see if I needed anything else. LOVE. I get there and OMG. It's serene, clean, and a good-smelling machine. It smelled FIRE throughout. Not overwhelming but so pleasant. The decor was stunning. So pretty and luxurious. But really, the service? TUHHHH. INCREÍBLE. From the moment I walked in and was greeted by the women at the front desk, onward, every single employee who walked by or guided me from point A to point B was sooo kind. This is big for me: EVERYONE SPOKE. Anyone working here who crossed my line of vision SPOKE TO ME kindly and in a welcoming way. I reached out two days in advance on Yelp and she responded immediately about her availability and also about the type of hairstyle I wanted. During my appointment she was nice, funny, and allowed me to relax. I never have a good experience with getting braids, even weaves done in the DC/MD area, typically the braider is rude, they pull your hair, and just overall very very unprofessional but Dina was the complete opposite. So, I will be going back and I've already recommended her to some of my girlfriends. She is now my new permanent hair stylist in the area!!!
