We had traveled all the way from Toronto to see Lake Louise, and after lunch we were ready to leave, disappointed by the conditions. Thankfully, Patricia suggested that we take the hike up to Fairview Viewpoint before heading out. It turned out to be the best decision we could have made. Once we were on the trail, the trees sheltered us from the rain, the wind died down, and when we reached the viewpoint, we were rewarded with the breathtaking lake view we had dreamed of seeing--the same stunning scenery we had seen in photos online. I also noticed Cows has a large gift shop area that sells cow-themed merchandise and apparel. There was a lot of cool stuff to check out in the store. I grabbed my coffee flavored Caramel Moocchiato ice cream and one of their snack items and spent time in the gift shop. I still enjoyed the bowl, but it was more like a regular chicken and dumplings bowl. You can request to top your own sauce. They have bottles of garlic mayo, sweet chili sauce, ketchup, etc. in front for you to add as much as you want. This also means that the tables can be left with smears of random sauces. The staff does not clean tables (1/2 star off), so I had to do a thorough wipe-down of a sticky table before sitting down. After your meal, you can also try their bingsoo (Korean shaved ice).
