Built up an appetite after canoeing on the lakes and found this little gem. We wanted a quick service and this hit all marks. Super expensive but very convenient for visitors and hotel guests. They serve soup, grab and go sandwiches and other goodies, pastries, drinks, and I even saw some Bailey's Irish Cream bottles for sale so you can stick it into your coffee. We shared a chicken noodle soup, ham sandwich, smoked salmon, a cookie and a banana bread slice. It was all very good! I recommend! P.S. The location is on the first floor of the hotel. read more

Our tour guide suggested we get a bite to eat here during our 2 1/2 hour visit to Lake Louise. They offer ready made sandwiches in the fridge case. I grabbed two sandwiches and a scone. They also offer hot soup and pastries and hot & cold beverages. There's a high counter along the windows with bar stools. And eating tables alongside the hallway straddling the deli and a few sit down tables past the cashier. It's been 3 weeks since my visit so I can't recall the type of sandwich. Not memorable though. I stopped by here to grab a quick bite of breakfast before making my way to the Lake Moraine shuttles. Their service is very fast and associates are very friendly! The brewed coffee was okay but their CHOCOLATE CROISSANT was AMAZING! They use a hazelnut spread for the filling and has drizzled chocolate on the outside! Got a pumpkin spice latte, a chocolate chip cookie and a hot chocolate. My husband described the cookie as crunchy on the outside and soft towards the middle. He said it was pretty good. He said the hot chocolate was average. The latte I think was very earthy tasting. Like no artificial flavors but pure pumpkin flavor. Not bad, just not as sweet or soft as you would expect. Paid about $18 for the 3 items but then again, its inside the Fairmont Hotel so $6+ for a small size drink is expected. Open 24 hrs but limited seating area. Cold subs and juices to go available. Lots of pastries and bakery goods available. You can also get a latter or hot drink with added alcohol like Baileys or so for about $10.50. read more

It's open 24/7! They serve soup, salads, sandwiches, pastries, snacks, etc. The average price for most stuff is at at about $10+. One morning I got a breakfast burrito and another day I got a meat lasagna for lunch. Since I stayed at the Fairmont Chateau, this is a better option after all the expensive food at their other restaurants and at least you have the options of eating light or healthy. They can do a box lunch for you if you decide to go hiking or if you're taking a tour. It's like a cafe but with an upscale twist. My suggestion is to get your food to-go and have a picnic outside or find a bench by the lake. There's not a lot of table inside so going at peak times for lunch or breakfast is a disaster, so it's better to get your food to-go. read more

Very good choice for lunch! The soup of the day when I was there was broccoli cheddar ($6), and while it initially struck me as looking quite thin and dull-coloured, it was actually quite tasty! I just stopped short of licking the bowl clean. The beef chili ($9) was also delicious, though a bit spicy. Luckily, you can grab as much focaccia bread and crackers as you wish- the bread is very good and seemed like it was quite fresh! The star of my meal, however, was the red velvet cupcake ($3). Absolutely divine, and pretty too! Not too sweet, with a bit of crunch from the edible ball bearings (non pareils), and flavourful frosting: a good ending to the meal, which is always important, right? Gotta save the best-tasting morsel for last. Tables are a bit scarce, but you can also sit on the window ledges and enjoy the view. Overall, especially for the price (given the opulence of the hotel, and when considering all the free bread I ate), I recommend having lunch here! read more

Located inside the hotel, Chateau Deli is a mishmash of different options that serve both the hotel guests as well as visitors that want to take in the beautiful scenery of Lake Louise. My wife and I came as visitors after touring the lake area and we saw that they had soup, grab and go sandwiches, coffee, tea, Irish Cream bottles for hangovers, pastries, etc. My wife and I got chicken noodle soup, a ham sandwich, smoked salmon, a cookie, and a slice of banana bread. Our breakfast experience at the Chateau Deli was desperately poor. The Oatmeal was tasteless wallpaper paste and the coffee tasted so bad, I returned it and asked for a refund. I had to wait in line behind 3 other people asking for refunds, so I guess they are used to complaints. The salmon bagel was double the price of the (significantly better) salmon bagel at the Trailhead Cafe just a couple of miles down the road in the village... After this experience we only ate breakfast at the Trailhead Cafe and the Baker Creek Bistro - both were fabulous! Skip the restaurants/eateries at the Fairmont - they were all terrible in our opinion and we had much better breakfast and dinner at the above mentioned eateries... read more

A good place to grab foods while visiting lake louise. Love their lychee mango sodas. A suggestion for the Fairmont to switch to paper straws. Was a surprise to see Fairmont still use plastic straws while many other businesses in the area already using paper straws. read more

Nice option for a quick breakfast if you are staying at the hotel. We had the breakfast sandwich (egg, ham and cheese on an english muffin) and a Chicken and Brie sandwich on whole wheat. Even though both were already pre-packaged and prepared, they were fresh and delicious. The chicken and brie sandwich had a nice dressing and the bread was very flavorful. The best thing I could say about this place is that it is open 24 hours. Most everything we ate here was overpriced and either at or below average. The coffee was Gevalia which is the same thing my mom orders through the mail. The chocolate croissant was pretty damn good. Everything else was pretty awful including the pretzel-wrapped hot dog and the bagel with lox and cream cheese. This place just doesn't belong at this hotel or on this piece of land. I like having a low-cost option, but I think they need a fresh start. If you are at this hotel, spend a little more or eat a little less. read more
