    Breads and pastries

Got a pumpkin spice latte, a chocolate chip cookie and a hot chocolate. My husband described the cookie as crunchy on the outside and soft towards the middle. He said it was pretty good. He said the hot chocolate was average. The latte I think was very earthy tasting. Like no artificial flavors but pure pumpkin flavor. Not bad, just not as sweet or soft as you would expect. Paid about $18 for the 3 items but then again, its inside the Fairmont Hotel so $6+ for a small size drink is expected. Open 24 hrs but limited seating area. Cold subs and juices to go available. Lots of pastries and bakery goods available. You can also get a latter or hot drink with added alcohol like Baileys or so for about $10.50.

One bowl of broccoli cheddar soup, two bowls of beef chili, plenty of complimentary focaccia bread, and a red velvet cupcake!

Very good choice for lunch! The soup of the day when I was there was broccoli cheddar ($6), and while it initially struck me as looking quite thin and dull-coloured, it was actually quite tasty! I just stopped short of licking the bowl clean. The beef chili ($9) was also delicious, though a bit spicy. Luckily, you can grab as much focaccia bread and crackers as you wish- the bread is very good and seemed like it was quite fresh! The star of my meal, however, was the red velvet cupcake ($3). Absolutely divine, and pretty too! Not too sweet, with a bit of crunch from the edible ball bearings (non pareils), and flavourful frosting: a good ending to the meal, which is always important, right? Gotta save the best-tasting morsel for last. Tables are a bit scarce, but you can also sit on the window ledges and enjoy the view. Overall, especially for the price (given the opulence of the hotel, and when considering all the free bread I ate), I recommend having lunch here!

Really cool to have a 24hr spot for drinks and food. Had great coffee here, would definitely recommend stopping here for a quick bite.

Great, fresh muffins. Good coffee. Bad atmosphere. Good for a quick bite for breakfast if staying at the hotel.

I will say the food and drinks are a bit too expensive, and even a hot chocolate is $8. I opted to order a Lavender London Fog (which was $12) and an egg & cheese sandwich (which was $16). The drink was tasty and had a nice lavender flavor, but the sandwich was pretty mediocre and not very tasty. It did help that it was warm and the cheese was mostly melted, but it was almost comparable to an egg McMuffin. Customer service was pleasant and efficient when I visited and they do offer to warm up any breakfast sandwiches that you purchase. They also have limited souvenirs available for purchase, I purchased a basic key chain but I couldn't justify buying a $31 coffee mug. Possibly worth a visit, but be prepared to spend at least $20+ on a hot drink and breakfast sandwich.

The hot chocolate was nice and warm on a cold winter day. Everybody was super friendly and this is a very conveniently located cafe in the Fairmont Chateau. It was for sure more expensive than other places around the area, but it's the chateau hotel!

Wasn't open yet, as I was looking in the window to see what they had. This wonderful man came to the door and let us in even though he wasn't open. What got us as we walked in is the smell of smoke meats. They smoke all sausages in house, as well schnitzel made fresh!! They have a nice lunch menu of soups and sandwiches all made in house. We bought some sausage and said to him we will be back later in the day. Well we came back the same day in the late afternoon. The gentleman was not there, a wonder lady greeted us as we walked through the door with friends. We bought more sausages garlic, miner's sausage, schnitzels, spatzal all for our supper. - really happy we found this hidden gem.
