I could just edit my original review, but Doug is so awesome he deserves an update…read more So, better half took in the watches (check out my review for Heritage Auctions if you want to know why I'm blowing up so many jeweler's phones lately) and Doug was a delight. As per usual, I also had to talk to Doug on the phone (because of course I did) but he is ever patient and knowledgeable. So far, Doug has: 1. Replaced a watch strap on a fixed bar, odd sized watch. 2. Looked at and assessed another watch (it has a bad mechanism) and will get that repaired for a reasonable price shortly. He also, and this is *super important* to me, gave reasonable expectations for the time it will take. 3. Is serving and replacing the crystal on yet ANOTHER watch that better half managed to drop (and shatter the crystal on) in a mere 24 hours. Got a new watch strap going on that one, too. Look, I'm sure Doug watches us pull up and sees dollar signs, but they're not exorbitant dollar signs and for what we need--a competent, knowledgeable, watch specialist--this joint is ace. No clue on their other offerings, but their website shows some lovely jewelry and really nice used watches.

I stopped into Gary K Jewelers today because I needed a new watch battery...at least, I thought…read morethat I did. After showing my watch to Mary Jane, she quickly shared that my watch did not need a new battery, but it needed to "recharge" with direct light for 48 hours to ensure that it wouldn't die. This was an old watch that I hadn't worn in 6-7 years because I bought an Apple Watch. Upon realizing that I didn't need a new battery, I put it on and discovered that I also needed a link or two removed because it was too big. So, Mary Jane took care of that, too. All in all, it was a great visit to Gary K Jewelers. Mary Jane was extremely knowledgeable and I will definitely return because of her helpfulness.

We had a lot of details. Special prayers, a glass of Merlot (her favorite) and a toast to her and pouring some Merlot on her grave in her honor. (We both wore special pieces of jewelry and gave us as 10 year olds and teenagers through later on in life , some of which we made into more modern pieces).Then more prayere then enjoying a meal at one of our favorite restaurants that Momma loved, too, Fulin's, where sweet Miss Vivian works as a manager. Long story short. Getting home from this emotional and beautiful day I noticed the top of Momma's class ring was missing. It wasn't a traditional class ring with a stone it was more of a crest. I had had the ring for decades and only worn it a few times before damaging it. I was so sad. Enter Osborne's. They made her ring better than it was before and just delighted my heart! I can't thank you Osborne's adequately for being kind, professional and really loving their customers as we honor the lives of loved ones who have gone before us. Thank you so very much!
