I used JVM to purchase a house in May 2025. They were very easy to work with. All our communications were handled through email or JVM's website. Their process made it simple to understand each step and what documents were required. If I had questions on weekends or after hours, someone from their team always replied promptly. We did have a situation where the lender who covered the loan (JVM is a middle-man and will sell your loan, just FYI) wanted an impound account, which we declined. JVM covered the cost to have the impound account waived. If you decide to go with JVM, my advice is to shop around. I highly recommend working with JVM, especially if you are in a competitive buying situation as their closing timelines are faster than a bank's. We had conversations with multiple lenders before deciding to go with JVM, and they were by far the most responsive. Really important if you are working on a deadline! Their team's communication was clear, concise, and prompt, and they even have agents on call during weekends and holidays. JVM is a mortgage broker, so their rates are generally not as competitive as a bank's, but they provide a much higher level of service. We got pre-approved with JVM and with a large bank, and when we were putting in an offer on a house, the bank went radio silent the day of the offer deadline and didn't get us the information we needed in time. That experience made me doubt whether the bank would be able to close in 21 days like they said. But with JVM's superior service and faster response times, I was confident that JVM would be able to close in 17 days. We ended up going a bit beyond that timeframe, but it was due to an issue on the seller's side that was completely outside of JVM's control. OK, Now that I'm in my new condo, I'm going to end this with an update that overall I was not happy with this company, despite Heejin's empty promises. I appreciated her call, and that's why I thought JVM earned a 5-star rating. But at the end of the day, their agents dropped the ball on the First Time Homebuyer program they had me pre-approved under. So when the program ended, I lost my preapproval, and JVM contacted me AFTER the freaking program ended. It pissed me off so badly because guess what - I actually had warning from another company that the program was ending. I knew about that well before hand, and unfortunately, the update was no suprise. And when I had to ask them to re-approve me - it ended up being for LESS! Another huge turn-off...Not to mention, when the interest rate kept creeping up, they never sent me any updates about my status, as promised. And here's the net net: The same condo that I didn't get under JVM - I was able to get by working with SNAPFI! BOOM. Done and done. read more

My wife and I were just coming out of a horrendous experience working with BoA on a contract, which we ultimately had to cancel due to their botched appraisal and incompetence. When we eventually found the right house for us, I knew JVM was the lender we would be going with. From initial contact to closing (and even afterwards), the entire JVM team was OUTSTANDING in their communication, service, and pricing!! I was first a little weary when I learned that I would be working with multiple different people at JVM for various aspects of the mortgage process. In the past with other lenders, my transactions were delayed to people not communicating effectively. This was NOT the case with JVM. Every member of the team was on the ball with everything going on and executed their tasks efficiently. When I needed an updated pre-approval letter to submit an offer on a Sunday, someone from JVM's weekend on-call team was able to get me an updated pre-approval letter in about an hour..on a Sunday! The other thing that JVM made painless, was the arduous process of getting all documents over to them. JVM uses an online portal which lists out exactly what they need from you, and allows you to upload documents and keep track of what is still pending. Not only was this efficient, I felt more secure than sending documents with extremely sensitive information over emails, like I've done with other lenders in the past. JVM's speed and organization allowed us to close within 20 days. After we closed, someone reached out to ensure everything was done to our satisfaction.
