However, the rate charged by this company for the service call is a lot more than the going rate for other plumbers. The cost for the first hour is $249. Also, although I wasn't charged for it, the technician told me there was an incidental charge of $15 for the rags they use for clean-up. I have never heard of this before, and given the price they charge for a service call, I thought that was a bit excessive. This company was recommended to me by someone I trust, but I will be doing more research next time and calling someone whose rates are more reasonable.

Bob and his son quickly assessed that our issue is not with the pump itself but rather the electrical connection. They problem solved this tirelessly and were able to remove a box from one outside plug and reinstalled this allowing the pump to work. Although not a permanent solution, this certainly has bought us time and is considerably cheaper than getting a new pump. They worked on site for approximately an hour. The charge? Nothing. Bob said it was not about money but helping people out. What an extraordinary, encouraging and heartwarming experience. We are very grateful for both their service and the imparted message.
