My car looks beautiful, looks brand new, and a bonus was that they detailed it before I picked it up. So I got it back cleaner than when I dropped it off. During the breakdown of our car they were careless and destructive and cut through good parts the next garage had to replace. Noaker's prices are some of the highest if not the highest locally. They do not look for authentic manufacturer's parts but instead use low quality Chinese material they can bill as new material. They took weeks to look at our car and provide an estimate. Their newer ownership does not have the same integrity or commitment to good local business as their older ownership. By undervaluing my car and overcharging the repairs Erie/Noaker's unnecessarily totaled my diesel car that WAS maintaining high resale value. Diesel cars are no longer sold in the US. Once a car has been issued an R title from salvage its resale value is ruined. My car had NO airbag deployment and NO structural damage. An honest repair company and honest insurance company should have deemed this an easy fix. Of course, after we got it out of Noaker's hands, it was an easy fix. Erie insurance is a direct partner with Noakers and their adjuster Kristina Ney was the worst. She left the impression she'd never seen a deer collision before or she was cooking the books for the insurance company. Incompetent, corrupt, rocks for brains, deceitful and likely ripe for a management position in a failing company. She seemed thrilled to write off the car as a total loss and had no interest in another garage's estimate which was $2596.37 less than Noaker's. The garage that did the repairs, D&E Autobody, used actual VW parts and saved money by getting parts in matching paint color. They gave me the option on a small rear door dent that did not require an entire new door. Not only did Noakers insist on replacing the entire door for one small blemish, but they wanted to redo the panel behind it as well - where there was no damage. In summary Noakers is a big name big brand that lacks the craftsmanship and professionalism of the smaller local garages. Joe Barnes Autobody will do you a wonderful service and D&E Autobody did us a wonderful service. Here are a few tips I learned along the way that may help counter the harm you will experience with the Noakers/Insurance camaraderie; I was able to counter Erie's attempted underpayment in settlement by providing two comps from local dealerships that had a similar 2015 VW GOLF SPORTWAGEN TDI SE as mine. A bit of a challenge but worth your effort. While Erie was claiming I had an 11k car, shopping around quickly demonstrated it was worth 15k-19k. Avoid PennDot at all costs. If you must go, go in person. Better yet, instead, for same day respectful treatment Go to PA auto license brokers, New Bloomfield. In the unfortunate event you experience an unwanted total loss and if you choose to retain as salvage and repair. Please know, it will be difficult to find and enhanced inspector to make your vehicle roadworthy again. We had a good experience with Blain Tire and Auto. There aren't many of them around.
