It was awful. The ER took me here because it was closest. I had never come here before. I told the doctor what was going on, and they did do lots of tests. He had blood tests done, an EKG and chest x ray. I was given medication for my dizziness and nausea and told him I do have a history pf passing out but not of this bad of vertigo just usually it is headedness with passing out usually caused by exception or sitting to standing too fast. I was told that I had a low hemoglobin it was down to 8.2, which wasn't too surprising since I was on my period and had a low hemoglobin. I have anemia and thalassemia minor, so that was ok. He did say he could do a blood transfusion, but I started at least being able to sit and walk normal after I was given the medication, so I just decided to leave. It's been at least a week or more, and I am still experiencing vertigo every day, so I don't think it was from my period. I am very nervous! I will go to my doctor and let her know. I think the doctors here do help and did help me as I was having an emergency at the time, but I just have to follow up on my own. I appreciate their support and service, but I didn't feel the security were very helpful. I had thought I misplaced my cellphone and was trying to find out where I could find it, and he just said he didn't have anything and that my husband wasn't there. I had to find him, and I was still disoriented, stumbling around in my pj's in broad daylight. That was embarrassing. Luckily I found it when I got home though but security and lost and found was not so nice and also this is the first hospital with an ER we had to pay $8 just to park especially since it's not far from compton?? My husband wasn't too happy about that either! The doctors are good, and my nurse was nice and the person who brought me to x-ray, but that's about it. I hope their registration person did it right because i don't want to get a bill, and I did give my updated insurance card. I gave this a 3 star rating, and that is ONLY because of the doctors and certain staff, because the rest of it needs to be worked on. There were so many of us in the hallways just on a bed. Apparently, it was hours just to be seen. ERs in California are SO different from mine back home in Michigan, and I miss the attention to care and my own room and bed.

It is truly a groundbreaking, one-of-a-kind experience to be nickel-and-dimed just to walk through the front doors. I was met with being talked down to and talked out of lab tests that I requested ("because the doctor knows more and doesn't think these tests are worth it" as I was told by their grievance dept when I complained.) I don't fully blame the doctor because I get that KP overworks and under pays their staff; but my doctors were unhelpful. At my last appointment I was asked by the doctor if I googled my test results because according to them, most people do. I had the doctor walk out of the room without giving me any information other than simply telling me if I was positive/negative for lab results. The nursing staff had all been great and front desk people for the most part. My rating is entirely based on the female doctor I had and all of my experiences with Kaiser as a whole. I feel as though LA County facilities help their patients more than Kaiser does. Also any complaints filed are dealt with in house so nothing comes about when filing grievances for unprofessional behavior or misdiagnosis.

Heavy traffic in the parking lot so I already was like maybe this isn't going to be the best Kaiser to come to. But to my surprise I shouldn't have judged a book by its cover my bad... This location has amazing customer service at the front desk all the employees at the check in area have been very professional courteous and helpful. I never have to wait long at all and they would always let me bring our twins together so both could be seen simultaneously which was incredibly convenient for me. The one Doctor who was just absolutely the most patient and so kind and kid friendly was Dr. Nancy Ramos she is just a wonderful person. She actually listens and asked you're opinion she not full of herself she's down to earth and very thoughtful. She always accommodated me by seeing more than one child at a time and never made us wait forever and if we had been waiting in the exam room she would personally come in and apologize for the hold up. She goes above and beyond because you can tell she really cares and loves her job!!! Awesome Kaiser very friendly and attentive.

The Oncology Institute accommodated his wheelchair and were always clear on what the course of treatment was. It was simple to schedule and re-schedule appointments. At one point an oral chemo medication was prescribed and they were able to take the copay for the pills in the office. Dr. Manuel Zavallos was able to explain what was happening to my dad, what the treatment should be and most importantly WHY each course of action was being taken. Katya and other caring clinicians administered injections and blood draws with compassion and prioritized uplifting my dad's spirits. There were a few times my dad needed blood transfusions at the ER and the Oncology Institute had complex paperwork ready for pickup for us on our way to the hospital. While my father's passing was inevitable with this dreaded disease he was clear with me that the Oncology Institute extended his life by the treatments as well as the way he was handled as a patient. They made the 93rd and final year of his life one of comfort in the knowledge his care was in great hands.

Whenever I walk-in the staff know me and greet me by name which is rare in this day and age. The thing I appreciate most however is that Dr. Salama takes the time to listen to what I'm going through and working with me in creating a plan together instead of making me feel like just another appointment on his schedule. He takes the time explain things clearly, answer all of my questions without rushing, and makes sure I understand the next steps before I leave. He'll even check up on me from time to time to see how i'm doing, which I don't think any doctor has the time for anymore, but it meant a lot to me given some of my health conditions and showed how much he cared! This is a walk-in office so wait time vary based on the day / time you go, so best to call ahead to see how busy they are if you're on a time crunch.
