Iron Boy is his other name.

What an interesting tiny statue. This little sculpture is the smallest public monument in Stockholm, Sweden measuring less than 6 inches. Iron Boy is the "little boy who looks at the moon". He is a bit difficult to find. He is located behind the Finnish Church close to the Royal Palace. He is worth finding. Many times he will be dressed up. Many people like to make a wish as well. Literally, Iron Boy is one cool little attraction!

Must see! I didn't know this existed until reading things to do.... and reading about this hidden gem. And it really is hidden!! You'll probably be on Galma stan anyways at some point if you're in Stockholm. So why not make this quick side trip to see this tiny monument! Literally the height of your hand-- depending on your hand size ;p Directions- go to the front of the Palace. With tour back to the front door of the Palace you should see a Finnish Church. Yellow building. You can also google this Church if you're not sure. There's a lot of construction going on in the area right now. Once you identify the Church go towards it and on the right there is a street/alleyway. Go down and you'll enter a court yard. And voila! The statue is near the middle!! In the winter he will be clothed. I was there and it was very warm- so no clothes needed. Make a donation and rub 'iron boy's' head. Take a few pics and you're on your way!! (donations go to the church)

I love those kind of little things. It was very great to go there during cold days as the boy had a small knitted hat and "scarf". If you're near the Royal Palace, this little boy is worth a look :)

This is a must see little statue in the old town area of Stockholm! The statue is of a little boy looking up at the moon. Discovered the state while on a tour - with all of the windy streets in the old town area I'm not sure I would have been able to find it on my own! Definitely worth checking out.

    So tiny!

'Boy Looking at the Moon' / 'Iron Boy' -- a group of us accidentally stumbled upon this little guy, and I was happy we did because it was one of the attractions I found on yelp and wanted to check out. I didn't expect for him to be so tiny, but it made him super cute with the little scarf and hat ensemble he had going on. He's located in Old Town, sort off in a side space not on a main street, but pretty close to the Royal Palace.
