Talk about adding stress to what should be a pleasurable experience. Absolutely no information about the changes by the market. I emailed to inquire and have had no reply. I'm a regular weekly shopper and I routinely drop $4-500. I became a Larchmont market convert during the winter. Because of the horrific parking situation in Bronxville, I'll now likely make the drive to Larchmont most Saturdays.

I do however try to support local businesses so occasionally I'll pick up a few things. The WP farmer's market operates downtown on Court St between Main and Martine every Wednesday from 8-4 and (new this year) every Saturday from 8-2. I usually walk through the market on Wednesdays before going into work to browse, and today I had the opportunity to visit them for a little longer. Like any farmer's market, they have a wide selection of fruits and vegetables. I'm bad though, and usually head to the baked goods vendors. Overall, they have a good selection of businesses. Some of them come from upstate while others are local to the city. Two standouts in the market are Gaucho Burger Company and Walter's Hot Dogs who will both soon be opening brick and mortar stores on Mamaroneck Ave. I still think the outdoor farmer's market in Pleasantville is the best one I've been to in Westchester, but the WP one holds its own. They have a good selection of vendors offering a wide variety of products.

Yes, I have busted into this pie in the car many times. Forks ready. The pie is still hot, folks. Seasonally, the apple cider donuts are the best anywhere. Yes, better than That place. And that other one up there with the mazes, and bouncy houses and things you don't want or need or have to pay extra to walk on their property. Donuts. That's what that line is about. It moves fast. NYBG Greenmarket is every Wednesday from 6/17/15 to 11/25/15 from 9am to 3pm. There are about 10 vendors, including fresh cold-pressed fruit juices, local fruits and vegetables, and a Mexican food truck. This is a great alternative to the cafes and restaurants on site which are typically overpriced and mediocre tasting since the garden's a tourist destination. Access to the NYBG grounds is free on Wednesdays, so you can access the Greenmarket and enjoy the garden for free (with the exception of special exhibits like the Frida Kahlo one that is currently on display). There are ample tables, chairs, and park benches to rest at and enjoy what you've bought. :)
