Have used them for the past 2 years, Prior was in my mother-in laws name. They have always been a great company to deal with. If I forget to put the can out at the roadside, the guys will come and get it. Never had a problem with them. Always try to leave them a little something at Christmas time for all the extra work. read more

Customer service is always friendly, helpful, and accommodating, and when we had need of special pickup, or even use of a roll-off, no problem. I've been a customer of K&D for 11 years! Never had a problem up until recently. For 11 years, I never had a problem with them, they never had a problem with me. I woke up recently to find my garbage bin missing, I called up, and they took it for missing a bill. Maybe it because I never received it? Speaking of not receiving, if a payment is late or something of that nature, maybe send out a letter, email, phone message (they have all this info) instead.of just put of the blue taking my bin away. If my bin had just been by the side of the road, ok fine, but they came deep into my property to retrieve it which is really unsettling and creepy. Can't wait to find another garbage company! Nice to know 11 good years can be washed away by horrible customer service and communication. read more

If I could give a negative amount I would. Took my garbage there for drop off with my recycling and they are now charging 20 cents a pound for everything. These people are scammers. They say the rates are online but when you go to the website the newark location there are no rates. It costs my husband and I (we are the only ones that live in the house and we also compost) $51.00 for 2 weeks of recyclables and trash (yes this was after thanksgiving but still) My husband called to get some answers and the lady on the phone yelled at him and hung up Great way to do business. These people are trying to get rich off of the regular people. The plastic containers holding the recycling also got weighed and they did not take the tare weight off. Please do not go here unless you want to get robbed of you money and yelled at to your face. read more

They don't keep good books, always check your invoice and save them. One week the just don't show up and will say you didn't pay your bill. This last time is it for me, I am switching to a new company. Oh yeah "Suzy" who answers the phone is rude as hell and unprofessional. read more

As far as garbage companies go, K&D is heads above the rest. We had a commercial Waste Management account, K&D is literally half the price, and any issue we've ever had, they take care of it immediately. We also had residential pickup and never had an issue, my parents have used them for 10+ years, they only have good things to say too. Complainers will be complainers, and typically, complainers run to their laptops to cancel anyone that didn't give them a participation ribbon. read more

Watch your bill very, very closely these folks sneak in raises in their fees with no notice. I complained a few years ago when they first did it I explained if they are raising their rates they need to give a notice this time again the rate increased with zero notice just sneak in the additional amount and hope no one complains -- i called to complain and was hung up on , called back and was hung up on again -- the service they offer is no better than several others in my area they have never gone above and beyond and their customer service is a complete joke -- do yourself a favor and go to any othe the other companies in the area -- I did read more

Horrible company, they show up when they feel like it, then if you call, the woman that answers phone has no customer service exp. at all, rude and full of excuses. They dont take all of the garbage, miss weeks and will not refund you at all. Id rather burn my garbage then deal with P.O.S company. First, I have never complained about a company EVER! But I just can not allow this company to continue without something being said about their business practices. At first they were great, no problems, and should get 5 stars. But starting the first week in April 2013 we began having an issue of our garbage not being picked up. I called the first time and was polite and just wanted it brought to their attention. Not a big deal I said, so the next week no problems. Third week again no pickup we called and was told the driver said it wasn't out. Our garbage is put out the night before without fail! So they did send someone to pickup for us. But they made it clear to me that the driver said it WAS NOT OUT! We were a little put back by the driver blatantly lying about it, but mistakes happen and we were again nice about the mix up. So the fourth week our garbage was picked up but NOT THE RECYCLING. Again we have to call and was told a substitute was driving the recycling that day and they were sorry. The fifth week we called to cancel for the week because we were away on vacation. Thought it was good on our part to help the driver not come down here for no reason. Now the 6th week again NOTHING was picked up. We call and they responded with "it wasn't out!" Again I will state that it was out on Sunday night like ALWAYS. The response was "IT IS ON GPS and we have a picture of it not being out" The woman was very rude and basically called me a liar. We are flabbergasted about this and said just cancel us. We even joked Sunday night when we walked it out about taking a picture to prove it was out. Didn't think of the fact that it might of actually of been useful. Regardless we cancelled and they have yet to pick up the garbage can. I don't know if they got a new driver and he was given the wrong address or if we have upset the driver in some way. But it is clear this company does not care. I have never complained about anything, but being called a liar is just a little to much for me. I still have yet to see this picture of our garbage not being out. For all we know it is of our neighbors house. They have given us no explaination for their actions except saying it is on GPS WHICH MAKES NO SENSE EITHER. So what, they drove by on the GPS System? The whole thing is ridiculous and just plain BAD BUSINESS! read more
