I had 6 windows installed yesterday by K&H and I could not have had a better experience. The guys were awesome and it is obvious they take pride in the job they do. At first I had read Yelp reviews and almost did not go with them because they were so negative. Every bit of this experience was good. The customer service is outstanding they were honest and did everything they said they would. Everything was explained to me in layman terms they cleaned up so well you never would have known they were here. The windows are beautiful and the job they did is flawless. Made 2 calls to have a screen adjusted on a new sliding door installed a few months ago. No show. Must be a COVID-19 issue.

Not even worth 1 star. Wasted almost 1 month of my time for window installation quote. Then we decided on one type of window and I signed contract, paid 25% advance payment. Then the same guy(Aaron) who signed the contracts emails me that he made a mistake and price will be $2200 more on a $3200 project. That is whopping 80% more then what we signed contracts for. Later when I showed my resentment they sent one more tech again to take some measurement again wasting my time. Some manager named Scott then emails me that instead the project cost will be $5370 more. That means a cost increase from $3200 to $8500. And moreover in the email, instead of being apologetic , they say that I have no legal recourse. Utter unprofessionalism. I wonder how they have been in business since so long. I have emailed their founders now and waiting for the response. Stay away from them if you want to save your time and money. read more

*NO STARS* LAUGHABLE!!! I contacted K & H this morning to set up a time for an estimate to replace my 20-yr old patio doors. An appointment was made, which I thought very convenient, as sometimes it takes contractors a while to get back with you. This afternoon, I received a call from the company, wanting to confirm 'THAT YOUR HUSBAND WOULD BE PRESENT AT THE ESTIMATE'. Without divulging any information about my marital status, I asked why that would matter. The company rep stated that it was important for both the husband and wife to be there to have all questions answered, and to deliver their input on technical aspects (the husband) and esthetics (the wife). Then he proceeded to ask me to confirm whether or not my husband was part owner of the home. I told him that was none of his business (although I kind of got the feeling that he may have looked up property records?), and that this had nothing to do with getting an estimate for home improvements. By now, I could hardly contain myself, and politely cancelled the estimate appointment. I have owned my home for 16 years. Over that time, I have personally designed, contracted and paid for backyard landscaping and upgrades; basement flood remediation and remodel; kitchen remodel; front yard walk and porch pavers; new paint, flooring and carpet throughout; 2 bathroom remodels; and numerous other upgrades and maintenance items, worth an estimated $100K. My credit is A+++. No contractor has ever qualified working with me based on whether or not my husband was going to be there - or - be part of the decision-making process. Whether or not this guy thought he would be better off dealing with 'my husband', or if he thought 'my husband' was the decision-maker on such things in my household is debatable. But one thing is for sure: THIS GUY HAS AN OUTRAGEOUSLY ARCHAIC AND NEANDERTHAL-TYPE THINKING PROCESS, AND THIS CAN'T BE GOOD FOR BUSINESS! I've worked with K & H twice to install windows in my home. Both times, the experince was smooth. I think K & H needs to learn the "right" way to let people know they need both DECISION MAKERS home at the same time. Asking or demanding that your husband be at home is so archaic is laughable. I'm in sales so I understand what they're doing, but they really need to jump into this century but just asking "will all decision makers be there." That's sales, nothing usual there, but assuming everyone has a husband, and worst, that the husband makes the decisions is kind of pathetic. read more

I needed a replacement window for my rental property. I called and provided this information and I was asked for my Wife's name. Hmmm? Why? Well it's company policy that both decision makers meet with a rep so they can talk to both of us at the same time. Sounds like a "time share" approach. I explained I only wanted a large window upgraded and my wife could be there because she worked in another city. Here the push; she was needed to offer her aesthetic opinions and I could ask technical questions. I said I was willing to meet with them one on one without my wife and the sales rep, Patrick, "kindly" explained to me that I was not for K&H services and he didn't want to waste my time. The rep said this is their busy season and wouldn't have time for my business. Needless to say this was not the way to treat a potential customer, company "policy" or not. K&H was recommended by a local glass repair business, so I'll be sure to stop by and tell them their recommendation was a poor one. Unfortunate for K&H that they use the wrong approach to build a customer base. It's safe to say I won't be using them for a 200 window replacement job on the four apartment complexes I manage. read more

We spend just under $20,000.00 with them. Windows were Five-Star. Siding was Five-Star. Gutters were Minus One-Star. The crew that did the gutters looked like they grabbed a few guys from the local homeless shelter. We've tried for years to get K & H to fix them - they are functionally worthless - but they've shown neither interest nor inclination in doing so. My husband and I called and set up an appointment at 6:30pm to get a quote on new windows. They came at 3:10pm. The company did not call us about the change of time at all. My husband and I are very unhappy about that. The guy that came out could not tell me why. He even admitted that it showed us on his schedule at 6:30. We will not do business with a company that cannot communicate with potential customers. Also when I told the guy who came out to cancel our appointment because we no longer wanted to get a quote from them he rolled his eyes and walked away mumbling under his breath. My 2 doors at $2000 each are alright- let me say I will NEVER reccomend this company to ANYONE. We had a problem with the installation- it took 2 extra hours including some stress because the installer had to go to home depot. The key cylinder was busted. Not happy that my expensive door was not the best it should have been, I told the installer I was not going to pay all of the remaining amount. He suggested $200 off, I said $300. Fast forward to last week, when I get a call from the sales manager Scott. While I explain to him why I am justified because I didnt fully get the exact product I ordered, he lamely offers me $100 off the balance. I said no, my time and stress is worth more and these doors are expensive AF and my husband is terminally ill ( now in hospice). Guy didnt budge. instead, he ARGUED with me about how they were not at fault and he would ONLY offer $100. I even tried to negotiate and say I would pay $150. Nope. I've never ever had this kind of horrible customer service. Dont buy anything from this company, they will treat you like TRASH rather than listen to you and work with you if something goes wrong. Also, they sent me a nasty letter in the mail demanding payment and repeating the same argument that they did over the phone. Worst window and door company EVER. they should take a page from Renewal by Anderson, who has AMAZING customer service. read more

K & H called me about a bid I felt they asked good questions until the call back. It was then that I was asked similar questions about whether I was the home owner and if my wife would be there. I said no, they said they believed that it was better if both husband and wife were there. I said this is a quick job so I can sell the house, mind you I only need my garage done. He kept pushing and I finally had to be rude and tell him that I am a contractor I believe I can handle it. My appointment was set for 9:00 it is 9:30 and know one has arrived. Had a GREAT experience with K&H for my new windows up in the mountains. Don't understand these other reviews - probably done by a competitor. Anyway, Dean was the salesperson - very knowledgable. My windows were professionally installed (can't remember the installer's name) in one day. They are triple-pane - got 1 fixed, 2 turn-outs and one sliding window - they are AWESOME and didn't cost as much as I thought. One of the best features is a collapsible crank on the inside (it folds up against the window. And also the fantastic screens - on the slider, the screen just slides right open. On the crank-out windows, the screen has easy to pop-out screens. VERY VERY HAPPY WITH K&H !!!! read more

I have had two great experiences with K and H Windows. K and H put my upstairs windows in about 10 years ago. They are lifetime guaranteed. I had some siding peeling off and they came over and fixed it right away. However the best part is that they fixed the basement windows for me as well. K and H did not install them and they had not been installed correctly. I was very impressed that K and H would do this for me even though they were not their windows. Marion did a super job; he was very professional and punctual. All of them were extremely professional, helpful and pleasant to deal with, especially Gedeon. Trecia in the financing department was also great to deal with. With K&H, we had our home sided/soffits,and a large window replaced. everything was ok after a year, but this year 2016, I've found out that all the soffits are like a FREE HOTEL for hundreds of pesky WASPS!! I called the boss (?), and discussed it with him, and he suggested all I could do was spray the crap out of them!! I want NEW soffits, and will call and ask the company if this is warranted? I'll type a follow up,,or I might even call the news channels problem solvers. read more

I hired K&H Home Solutions to replaced my gutters and downspouts, after removing the old gutters the installer replaced all the flashing, put up new seamless gutters and 7 new 2 story tall downspouts. Today installers came to do a job at a neighbors. Parked so it was difficult to access my garage. Asked politely if they could move up a bit. Snarky reply. Asked again an hour later, again more sarcasm. My only day off and I had to deal w these "charming fellows". Called the company to see if they would contact installers. Peter said he'd get back to me. 3 hours later no call, so I call back to speak to owner or manager and get put on lengthy hold. By now I was very upset. Got the run around with these guys. Anderson Windows will get my business. If you do an estimate w these guys, be aware they will call incessantly (SOMETIME 3- 4 times a day)to get you to purchase. read more

I had 3 companies quote 9 windows. First, they rudely ask if 'the man of the house' will be present during the quoting process. I had to check the calendar to make sure it wasn't the 1950s. Pardon me for having a career and making my own money, Seriously, these are windows, its not like having to decide to kick grandmas life support off. Ok, so here's the best part, we went from a $10k quote to $5k. I felt like I was in Tijuana getting hustled, "Well it's typically $400 but for you $40". When someone slashes prices like that, that is a sign your getting hustled. Now, let's talk about their product. So they claim on their website that they have been in business for over 60 years, so you would think that they have good partnerships with their vendors. NOPE, not these guys. They just partnered with SoftLite, who also has very bad reviews and who won't transfer warranties (FYI). So, it was obviously why I didn't choose them. Overpriced, hustlers, with a shady product/window vendor. Just not for me. read more

I requested quotes for windows installments in my house from a place that would send me numerous companies with quotes. K&H Home Solutions was the only company to call me 5 times in a few hours and hang up, leaving no voicemail. Sometimes, the calls were one right after another! All the other companies called once and left one voicemail. I reversed looked up their number called back K&H just to get the calls to stop. The person who answered the phone said there was no way they did that, I was mistaken, etc. It was their number, (303) 421-7100, on my missed call list 5 times. So, I still agreed to proceed with a free estimate. Same guy said minimum estimate is 3 windows (I wanted 2) and their company policy Requires that my husband is present for the free estimate. Told him that wasn't possible and he said it's their policy, which is controlling and needless. They don't get to decide how my husband and I choose to split household duties. I will never use these guys. They are awful and I didn't even have to meet an employee to figure that out. read more

Disappointing. I had this company give me an estimate on a window replacement 2 times. Each time they gave me roughly the same estimate. I agreed and gave them the $600.00 Depot they needed to get started. They set a guy to do final measurement and he said they couldn't do the window because of its design. The salesman called me the following day with a quote 1200.00 more than the original 2 because they wanted to eliminate a window and build a roof on top of the over hang. To top it off if I hand agreed they would not do finishing of the new drywall and I would have to hire another company /contractor to do that. I am waiting for the refund of my deposit. BUT THIS WAS COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME and I'm back to square 1 for this project. read more

They set an appointment, then called to say both my husband and myself had to be present. My husband is more than qualified to handle contractors but they insisted I take time off from work to be present during the appointment. Late the night before the appointment, I received a call that the roofer had to go out of town and they needed to change the appointment. DO NOT USE - ZERO stars deserved. Horrible. Beyond disappointed. I DO NOT recommend this company but if you decide to use them, please watch the contract you sign, verify it is everything promised, IN WRITING; including ALL specifications, manufacturer and style of windows you are signing for. CYA because they will cover theirs. The installers were great but if they leave ANY damage, dirt or marks, take pictures before they leave as the office staff will call you a liar. Being trusting and a first time window buyer, I believed what Bryan said, promised & sold us on during the estimate would be what was installed, lesson learned...I was wrong. They (Scott, sales manager) offered to come out & cut up the windows and install what we were told came standard but did not, what they failed to tell us is it would void the warranty. Don't recommend at all, mess left behind, now I am having to fix the patio blind that fell 48 hours after they left and they won't take responsibility for, fix the motion detector light on the back patio, Shaw said, "it's a bulb"...we'll see; the garage sensor was dislodged and I asked for a little help to reattach it afterwards, I got a "jerry-rig" it kind of answer. Night 1, a piece of trim flew by my bedroom window, apparently left on the roof, I was concerned it had come from the window, but I'm no expert on this and that's what I paid them to do, Shawn concluded "must have been left behind/@ the roof?" One of the crew was really into the sunflower seeds and spit them @ front/back, sidewalk, they are in my planters. I was told "we try" to clean up---there are picks, hardware, trim pieces and empty lunch bags - so, today I'll take my own "man hours" to clean up and try to fix what wasn't broken before the job. I spent $24,000 on siding, doesn't look bad, but the only people that rate K&H as A+ is themselves. They tried to send me to Home Depot during the project to get a frame for house #s..."not a part of the Deal!", miraculously they attached the #s after I dug in my heals. I really thought I did my due diligence when researching a company to do my siding, & I was duped. After 3 attempts to get a look after the project, Shawn finally came out, found a flaw in one piece of siding-fixed it, but not a "sorry" about the mess or "how can we make the other things right with you?"...come to my restaurant and I'll make you pay for your food, but YOU have to go to the kitchen and cook it yourself and then do your dishes & wipe down your table before you leave...How would you like that treatment...Just sayin'. read more

I just bought my house in February - the owner prior to me contracted with this company to have new windows installed. Low and behold, I received a letter from this company last week telling me I had to schedule an inspection for the windows...ummm...WHAT?!? It was clearly the fault of this company that they did not leave a permit with the previous owner, nor did they tell her that she needed to schedule the inspection. Needless to say, I am not impressed with the customer service - it was THEIR error (they said the installer did not leave the permit with the prior owner) and they should be the ones to fix, but that is not the case. I am the one having to be inconvenienced for them dropping the ball. I will probably never use this company just based upon this experience. read more

NEVER, NEVER AGAIN!!! BEWARE I contacted K&H Windows Jan 2015 to replace a Garden window that was damaged in the hail storm 9/29/2014. Once they came out & the contract was signed-which took longer than it really should have in my opinion, then it took them until the end of March to actually order my window with a deposit of $542. I had been assured I would get a custom window made to fit my home, IDENTICAL to the window they were replacing. They did all the measuring for this window. I was rescheduled 2x after the window finally came in. Installation was set for 5/9, but early the week before I was called to reschedule for the following Sat. The day before they were to install, once again they called to attempt to reschedule again, but since I was going to be on vacation that following week- they did agree to show up between 11-noon. About 9:15 am on 5/16 I got a call saying the installer couldn't find anyone to help him until sometime between 2-4 pm. Then the installer showed up about 11:30 am anyway. Once they started putting in the new window I noticed RIGHT away the window being installed was not the right size. I started contacting the sales rep as well as took pictures. The installer even said normally there is about ¼" of room on each side of the window. And he knew it wasn't the right size so he wasn't going to do more than make sure the window & the gaps wouldn't allow weather in. He used a ton of expandable foam insulation, but didn't put back up any trim work. The sales rep Jeff Johnson did call me but said there was nothing he could do on a Saturday & would have someone call me on Monday (5/18) morning, that didn't happen. It was midafternoon before I got the call from Sean George, however was told there was little hope to have anyone to look at it before I left on vacation. Before John Convy (operations manager) came to look at the window 6/4, I had already had multiple contractors to look at the window that was installed, everyone agreed the window was both too narrow and too short. The window opening is 46" wide & 45 1/2", the window that was taken out had a very small gap between the window opening & the window frame, I also had a glass shelf in the window. The window that was installed has almost a full inch gap on 1 side & right at ¾" on the other, & another 1" gap at the top. AND there was no shelf. John looked at it and kept trying to convince me the window I had removed was from original construction, & even when I told him I had that window installed May 2006- he kept saying they "can" allow up to ¾" gap for the window to expand and contract with the changes in weather. He said he would called me that afternoon after speaking with the owner. John didn't call until 5pm on Friday (6/5) he said he knew it wasn't what I wanted to hear but after speaking with the owner, they were going to send someone to finish trimming out the window. And for the inconvenience they were willing to give me $100 off the amount I still owed. I would not want to keep this window EVEN if K&H paid me the FULL cost of the window, much less want to keep a window that is too small & requires way too much spray in foam insulation for a CUSTOM MANUFACTORED window & pay for it too. I am the one who has to live with the window, pay the higher energy bills from having a subpar window. For K&H to attempt to placate me with this ridiculous offer is both insulting and unethical. When I am spending well over $2000 for something to be custom made to fit my house I DO NOT expect to it to look like it was a prefab window I bought from one of the big box stores and just had to make it work. CUSTOM manufactured to me means it will fit properly without modifications & without me as a homeowner having high energy bills because they had to fill in all the gaps with tons of expandable foam and at least 3 inch trim boards all the way around. Industry standard is about 1/4" gab on each side of the window. I wouldn't want this horrible looking window even if they paid ME the entire full cost of the window. I take more pride in my home than to spend thousands of dollars for something that looks this horrible!!! I am wanting to increase the value of my home not flush it down the toilet. Had some fascia and soffit replacement in 2013. By 2015 I had to scrape the material and paint it. The product did not hold up well and peeled with 2 years. The caulking job looked like something from a kindergarten project. I have since received a call now in May 2016 soliciting more business. When I told them of my experience, there was no indication to remedy.....just looking for more of my money. I would NOT use them again, nor would I recommend them. Do NOT do business with this company. I had new windows and insulation installed. Spent $14,000. They made so many mistakes with installation. Several things went wrong. It was a complete nightmare working with them. They messed up several ways with the installation and I had to ask them to come out to fix things. They also no-showed for installation and never called and I had taken the day off of work. I had to call 5 times just to get an answer regarding whether or not the installer was ever coming. By the time they got back to me to tell me he was sick, almost the entire day had gone by as well as my wages for that day. They offered no compensation for that. Also, they guaranteed a 40% energy savings. The energy analysis THEY prepared after one year showed an energy savings of only 5% in my home. It was absolutely not worth the money. They offered me a $120.00 refund - really doesn't help compared to the $14,000 I spent. Again, stay away from this company! I cannot emphasize that enough. They are disorganized, customer service is terrible, and they did not follow through on the promises made at time of purchase regarding the product. Also, they promised noise reduction with the windows and insulation. There was NO improvement in road noise. When they called shortly after installation to ask if I was having problems, I requested they come out to fix a window that wouldn't slide. They never called me back. Someone else called a few weeks later to survey me about my experience. I again told them the window wasn't working. They said someone would call me to come out. Again, they never did. We used K&H for a new roof. The inspector had to come back multiple times for the roof to pass inspection. We now have a leak around the skylight. Overall a low quality experience, poor installation and communication. I would not recommend this company. read more

We had K&H install vinyl siding on our entire house and replace all of our windows and our sliding glass door from kitchen to deck years ago, with their lifetime guarantee, etc. etc.. We were satisfied for a while, but a couple winters ago the sliding glass door seal was breached, and in certain weather we would get severe frosting and even sometimes ice between the panes of glass. I called K&H to come look at it to repair or replace. They said they couldn't do anything about it as the manufacturer had gone out of business, but they would place a service call which I would have to pay for. I told them to shove it. Then more recently after a hail storm, a sales rep from K&H called and said they were calling their "best customers" to see if there was anything they could help us with in the way of repairs. I relayed the sliding glass door story and how unhappy we were about their non-response. The person said he would look into if for us. It is any surprise that we didn't hear back from them at all? Don't use them...they are overpriced resellers like Sears...they jack up the prices and installation and pay their installers hardly anything.
