Run, Run, Run away from Kesi Case and Kim Heinlen and any companies they are affiliated with. We first started speaking with them in September 2019. We were extraordinarily careful in making our decision, making sure that everything was laid out well. We finally signed a contract with them in late January 2020. We gave them a 20% down payment on a very large job to completely renovate two bathrooms and do the piping under our house. Today is exactly 9 months later, and nothing has even started. The company has dissolved, they took $13,000 from us and assigned the contract to a new company, and they promise to do the work for the remaining amount. The raw, unadulterated incompetence of these two business partners cannot be overemphasized. They will smile and promise you the moon, but nothing got done beyond computer drawings provided as PDFs. We had three project managers, as each one quit or got fired. The office staff similarly will smile and tell stories, but they are equally incompetent. The two principles have dissolved their business, but I expect they will start a new company or two, and hopefully this review will reach someone who will be warned away. Yes, a pandemic intervened, and we were patient as they sorted out their problems, but to have no final engineering drawings, no permits, no nothing 9 months after signing is not only unacceptable, it is a felony under Florida Law. I had no desire to ruin anyone's life in that way...but a Kesi and Kim should maybe run a sandwich shop or something...not a construction company. read more

Please avoid this company or any company associated with Kim Henlin. She will steal your money, give you hundreds of excuses and not complete the work. Please stay away as I am currently in a lawsuit with one of her companies. read more

This is a warning to all contractors and subs working for this company. They have no problem asking you to do the work but when it comes time to pay. They write bad checks and excuse, excuse, excuse we are owed thousands for more then 6 months now. I would not use such a shady company for anything read more

I hired K& K to remodel my small kitchen. I signed the contract March 2019 and the job was finished in January 2020...need I say more! They are not a full service company and do not have skilled contractors working for them or the ones that worked on my job were not. There is no oversight and no communication within the company. Everything that was done had to be redone. They are good at selling and poor at execution. They were horrible to work with, never had any answers and never knew if anyone was going to show up to work. Save yourself aggravation and time and find someone else. Well, we signed a contract in February and everything was shut down due to the Covid -19. So far my experience hasn't been good. I agree with some of the other reviews, the communication its not there. I email and I dont hear back from anyone. For some reason the owner, Kim, thinks that the destruction she's done to my home was from another contractor, which makes absolutely no sense. If that were the case, I'd be writing a negative review about them. She's a complete sociopath that does not want to take responsibility for her actions as an incompetent business owner. She will not make the ethical business decision to refund my money. I can only hope that consumers read these reviews and search for a capable company to complete their jobs. There is no doubt in my mind (and based off the many similar reviews posted on not only Yelp, but also on the BBB and State Attorney General's office) that they will not be in business very long. read more

Hired k&k to do a bathroom and kitchen in a house we gutted and just wow. This is not a company you have to micromanage to get things done they simply take care of everything. We paid K & K Design and Construction 50% of the estimated cost of remodeling 3 bathrooms. They strung us along for 12 months. Not a single physical thing was done except some design drawings and some design consultations (fortunately no demolition was done). The owners KIM HENLIN and KESI CASE are thieves, they stole our money like they did from many others. Many excuses were given, covid was used most. However, in March and June they were able to create 3 new companies. One of which is a new remodeling company that already has a bad review on its website. The second is a cabinet and plumbing fixture company. The third I can't figure out what it is (no website). All this can be found on the internet, just go to the Florida Department of State, division of corporations and search by their names. These 2 scam artists need to be investigated. read more

K & K Design and construction help me bring my outdated 70s kitchen into the new century! Very PROFESSIONAL company! I'm extremely happy with the work perform and the end result. Kim was able to provide a quote and break down the process and next steps. Everyone I worked with, including Kesi, Alondra and Khareem, were able to answer my questions and keep me updated throughout the process and follow up when needed. Their employee, Orlando was always efficient, neat and clean with the ceiling work and dry wall. The work performed was excellent and communications between me and the K & K team were answered in a timely manner and everything was coordinated flawlessly. I received a call today from K&K saying they never cancelled the permit they filed. It is still open. I will update this review after they have resolved this. Hopefully it is done quickly. We contracted with this company in November 2018 for bathroom remodeling. Since day one, they lied, were inaccessible once a deposit was made, and were unable to provide a legitimate building permit to the city of Boca Raton. They were always in "meetings", never returned numerous calls, lied about material purchased for us, and when they "returned" any such materials, they kept the refunds, even though they purchased these things with our money! Even the city reviewer questioned their ability to submit the proper forms and their legitimacy. After tremendous frustration, dealing with lies and non communication, in July 2019, we cancelled the contract and lost a significant amount of money. We have had many home improvement projects in homes in various states and never have had this type of horrible experience. I checked 1 star because it is required for this review. read more

I would give K and K Design and Construction zero stars if I could. First off, they are working under a General Contractor, Gary Stuart Lee (CGC1527420), who we never met or were allowed to speak to. We never had a contact number for him. Secondly, once hired, Kesi NEVER returns phone calls and her voicemails are always full so you can't leave a message. They began work without permits and when they applied for permits four months after starting the demo they were rejected by the City of Coral Springs. The plans designed by their architect were not sufficient and the electrician and plumbing permits were not done correctly as well. In addition, we needed a new water heater as per our insurance company. K and K's plumber took five weeks to submit an application and it was rejected. I found my own plumber and he was able to obtain a permit from the City within 24 hours and water heater was installed. We have hired an attorney. I DO NOT recommend hiring them. read more
