After they worked on my property, I experienced severe water damage that resulted in approximately $30,000 in damage & repairs, of which my insurance company reimbursed me $13,494. This was the result of hitting a water line with a roofing nail. The damage affected areas of my home that should have been protected during the roofing process. This was one of the most stressful home repair experiences I've ever faced. I believe potential customers should be aware of the risks and carefully evaluate all options before hiring this company. James Tyler Cole, the owner of F D Roofing and Construction, LLC has taken no responsibility for the damage (not to mention his insurance carrier), he has come up with every excuse possible with the exception of blaming Santa Claus for this catastrophe. During the final walkaround/payment visit, we advised we had picked up hundreds of nails around our property and dozens in the street, and we were told the neighbors "can send me the bill." We were also told someone would return with a magnet for another sweep, but that did not happen. We also pointed out damage to our newer fence and were told it would be repaired, but no one returned. In 2025, we experienced a leak that caused interior water damage requiring professional water mitigation. We attempted to resolve the matter directly, but reimbursement was refused. We ultimately filed a small claims case in Hood County, Texas. On December 9, 2025, the Justice of the Peace Precinct 3 ruled in our favor for remediation costs and court costs. A+ Roofing's website highlights "Honesty" and "Integrity," including: "You can expect honesty in all that we do," and "We stand by our word..." Based on our experience, we did not receive the level of follow-through those statements imply. As payment was not received within the voluntary period, an Abstract of Judgment was filed in Hood County on January 13, 2026 (Document No. 2026-0000520). Posting this review to share our experience factually so others can make an informed decision.
