We got towed to them around 3 pm on a Friday and were expecting to have to stay the night. The front desk said, let's see what we can do for you, and try to get you taken care of. They diagnosed the issue, jumped right on it, and had the part coming to their shop withing 20 minutes. They told me they were going to do their best to have it done before 6 pm (closing time). Wife and I went to a nice sandwich at subway across the street, walked around, and by the time we got back, around 5:20, they were just finishing up. We were back on the road by 6 pm. The whole experience with dealing with this location, was positive. The front counter was very helpful, and the mechanics did an excellent job. I have…read moreCarShield for a 2017 Range Rover and they recommended that I use K&N Automotive to check a radiator leak. I made arrangements and dropped my vehicle off Monday evening after hours so they could look at it on Tuesday, February 4th. I got a call later that day informing me that the radiator needed to be replaced and letting me know that the differential fluid should be replaced as well. I was sent a quote (see pic) quoting me $1,386.71 for the radiator replacement (which CarShield should cover) and $734.21 for an oil change, differential fluid replacement, shop fees, etc. I agreed to the repairs and they informed me that it would take a couple of days to order the radiator and install. The following week on Tuesday, February 11th, I was informed that the radiator was damaged in shipping (which happens and is understandable) so it would take more time. No one bothered to call me after that. I waited two days and called them on Thursday, February 13th. They told me that my vehicle wouldn't be ready until the following Monday, but didn't explain why it would take an extra two business days. They still did not call me to provide any updates. I finally called them the morning of Monday, February 17th asking if my vehicle was done and was told that they just need to put the fluids back in and it will be ready. I did not hear from them the rest of the morning or afternoon. I finally called around 4:00 PM to ask about the status and was not provided any explanation about the delays but was told that I could pick it up at 6:00 PM (which is when they close). I showed up five minutes before 6:00 PM and Service Advisor Nathan Garrett came out from the back. As the door swung open, I saw my Range Rover still up on a hoist. He claimed that they were pretty much finished and just need to take it for a quick test drive, which was clearly a lie. He went to the computer and started clicking around for 3-4 minutes and seemed to be stalling. I offered to pay, but he kept clicking around on the computer for another awkward couple of minutes. I finally sat down while I waited for him to get the bill ready. He continued to not say anything to me. I finally spoke up and said, "Do you want me to come back in a bit?" He responded, "That's fine, if you have something you need to go do. It will only be 5-10 minutes." A service mechanic then came out from the shop and tried to whisper to Nathan and I heard him say: "It's not even close to being done." Nathan then responded, "He said that it would be ready by 6:00 PM." Nathan got up and walked with the mechanic through a door to the service area without saying a single thing to me. I then sat there waiting for an update as 5 minutes rolled by. Then 10 minutes, Then 15 minutes. Then 20 minutes. Then 25 minutes. No one bothered to come talk to me and tell me what was going on. I finally lost patience and rang the notification doorbell on the counter. No response. I knocked on the door to the service area. No response. I rang the bell again. Nothing. I knocked again. Nothing. I rang the bell a third time...STILL nothing. I knocked extremely loud a third time...STILL nothing. Finally fed up with everything, I got a napkin from their snack area and started to write a note when Nathan came back in. I told him: "You clearly are not done with my car! So I'll just come back tomorrow." He responded, "It will just be another 5-10 minutes." I replied, "Yeah, I'm not sure I believe that. I'll pick it up tomorrow." I then left without my vehicle. The following day, I did not receive a phone call until 10:39 AM and was told that my car was finally ready to be picked up. I went to the shop after work to pick up my car and was expecting a bill for $734.21 like I was quoted. To my surprise, the bill was now $1,027.27. I bluntly, but politely, expressed my frustrations with the delays and lack of communication, which culminated in a much higher than expected bill. I asked for an explanation and Nathan was called from the back. I politely expressed my frustration to him as well and he apologized for leaving me hanging the night before. I told him I will pay whatever is a fair cost for everything, thinking that perhaps they would waive the oil change or something as a courtesy for my mistreatment and inconvenience. Nothing. I paid the full bill, still unsure of why it cost more than I was quoted. The communication was awful, the customer service was atrocious, and lack of care was appalling. Save yourself the time and money and find a better repair shop.

The engine was ultimately found to have a bolt inside cylinder #1. Based on the evidence and the vehicle's service history, we believe the bolt was left in the engine during previous maintenance performed by the dealership service department. That foreign object ultimately caused catastrophic engine damage, leaving me facing the cost and hassle of replacing the engine shortly after purchasing the truck. What has been even more disappointing is how this dealership handled the situation. I reached out to them expecting them to at least take the situation seriously and work with me toward a reasonable solution. Instead, they were essentially unwilling to help. Not offering to take a look at the truck or report the only thing they offered was a $50 gift card, which is completely inadequate considering the circumstances and the $6,000 cost of the engine replacement. I understand that used vehicles can have problems, but having an engine fail less than a month after purchase and after fewer than 1,000 miles is extremely frustrating. What makes it worse is feeling like the dealership has no interest in standing behind the vehicle or helping resolve the situation. They only seem to care about profit and margins rather than current and future customers. Future buyers should be aware of this experience before purchasing a vehicle here.

We got a small list but no results. A simple search from chat gpt told us what the problem could be and easy tests that could be run to confirm it. Two other mechanics confirmed that they could have run a simple test to confirm the head gasket was bad as well. Now we get to pay another mechanic to diagnose it and replace the head gasket after already wasting $900 with carsmart.
