This time around, needed the door glass on one of our French doors replaced. Walked into the store and was able to make an appointment for an estimate on the spot. Lead time for the glass was adhered to, and the installer arrived during the earlier part of the (thankfully short) time window quoted. Job site was left as clean as the installer found it. Only quibble: while I essentially gave this project to Ridgefield Glass in order to get a perfectly matching surround door insert frame (as opposed to ordering the insert on line and crossing my fingers that it "might" match and installing it myself), and was assured repeatedly that the new insert frame would match "perfectly," it does not. The molding profile differs significantly from the existing one, and the installer's comment "they don't make them like that anymore" doesn't quite ring true--the door is only 3 years old....sounds more like the 100% correct profile was not in stock/on backorder and what I received is the closest thing available. That said, the finished result looks good--it would have simply been nice to get a head's up on not quite receiving what I was hoping to.

I just bought an apartment with a great view and lots of windows but the glass was all fogged. I googled window replacement and had a window replace the company then come out and give me a quote. They gave me a quotient of over $40,000. I had remembered about Glass Guys and gave them a call. The owner was prompt and friendly and said I didn't need to replace the whole window and could just replace the glass. I got my quote the next day for $3,700. Wow what a difference than my first quote. It's nice to know in this day and age that there are honest reasonable businesses out there. You can trust these guys.

After over 2 months trying to get on their schedule (which included 4 follow-up calls on my part because I never received a return call from them), they finally came. While the basic window turned out great, my side window at the front door did not have the best outcome (see picture). The guys left with the screws showing. I called immediately after realizing this and the guys working on it said this is how it was when they started. Are you kidding me?! It looks ridiculous with the screws showing and I'm pretty sure I would have noticed this. The other identical side window has the plugs. They said they would come back and silicone caulk the openings - which I can do myself. I asked them to find the plugs that cover the screws in these kind of frames. They found some and told me to come pick them up - my husband said they gave some pretty bad attitude when he went to pick them up. Of course they don't fit. So now I'm stuck trying to fix this eye sore on my own. I will not use them again.

We completely and happily ditched our tub for a Contemporary and seamless shower. And with the suggestion of our last Bathroom contractors, Mr. Awesome would make it happen. He ONLY does glass doors. And that's it. The truth of the matter is- Mr. Awesome isn't a jack-of-all-trades. And that's fine by me. Because at least I know, his main and only focus is on Glass. But damn he's good...Better than good! Attention to detail is what he does best. Came over and gave my husband and I an estimate along with precise measurements. Installation took place on his second visit (along with his assistant). And if I remember correctly, in a matter of a couple of hours, Mr. Awesome further transformed our bath into a modern spa-like retreat...right at home.
