Highly recommend!! We recently had a plumbing leak that turned into a plumbing nightmare. Walls had to be opened up in the bathroom and the kitchen below. Tiles removed, cabinets removed, walls cut out, plumbing lines replaced...it was a Disaster. 2 things went our way (1) the insurance company covered all costs (2) Darrell and his team handled the entire job, start to finish. We didn't have to call a bunch of different contractors in, they handled it all, even helped us work with the insurance company and came in on budget (which is unheard of) Darrell and his very competent and meticulous staff, especially Zsolt, not only solved the mystery of the leak but fixed it in a timely manner and made all necessary wall, tile, etc repairs. You would never know any work was done. Darrell made numerous inspections of the work to insure all was in order and we were satisfied with the work ... which we definitely were. Our house and our lives are back in order (actually better than before). We are posting this review to let others know there is a contractor that actually knows what he is doing, who you can actually trust to do what he says, who actually cares about his customers. There is good news and bad news about Honey Do Men. The good news is that the work done on my sunroom renovation was excellent. The workers work hard, are respectful and polite, and do great work. Now the bad news: scheduling and communication is poor. I often had no idea which subcontractor was coming and when. I had to chase the front office down to get any info. I finally asked for a schedule and never got it. Once I took the day off for them, but they never showed. Of course, they are very prompt about getting you the final invoice asap....and the harassment began the next day to pay it; they even offered to come to my house to pick up the check!! read more

Not the best job done. We have an issue with the fit of an attic access panel and got an argument about the way the work was specified and strong resistance to fixing it properly. The panel has a gap along an edge and scrapes a side on opening it. Both not acceptable. They were not easy to deal with on the quality of the work. Although they were to supply the materials they did not bring any with them. I offered a piece of plywood that they claimed was part of the problem and claimed I insisted they use it, I did not. I offered it as I had it on hand. We will not be using them again. read more

I made the mistake of hiring this horribly run company. Please do not make the same mistake I did as this company overcharges for basic repairs. Please hire a local qualified contractor that uses legal workers to perform repairs. They installed a deck last year in the winter with bare wood .Its completely warped, cracked and horribly unlevel soaked with water to the point where it looks like a fun house floor. I am utterly disgusted and will never use them again and I would suggest no one else does either. I called them to come and give an estimate on 3 jobs around my house in northern Westchester in mid June 2023. The guy they sent out was very arrogant but none the less I thought maybe this was just his attitude. He assured me I would hear from them in about a week for 2 out of the 3 projects and within 2weeks on the 3rd. We'll, it is now late August (60days since the guy was here) and aside from them adding me to their spam email list (2-3 unsolicited emails/wk) -- they have never responded or given me a single estimate or telling me they are declining our work! I called them on the one month anniversary of their 6'5" upper-middle-aged estimator stopping here and acting arrogant and as if stopping here for our 3 jobs (worth a combined total of well over $15k) was an inconvenience. The woman on the phone promised me we would hear back next day or at latest by the end of the week....well, here we are a month later - and guess what -- NO ESTIMATE OR RESPONSE. They have called me twice but didn't leave a VM either time! They spend a lot on advertising and painting their trucks all fancy but don't actuality do anything! I have had numerous other contractors look at the same jobs, one of which has already been completed and for $6,925 - the other 2 jobs I am still seeking to have the work done -- but with the lack of communication or response and the arrogant attitude of their estimator I certainly won't contract HONEY-DONT-RESPOND! read more

The worst experience I've ever experienced in 34 years of using contractors in both my home in Westchester and my home in Pennsylvania. Promised to get the job started within 2 weeks and it was cancellation after cancellation. Many of the cancelled jobs were due to "bad weather" on days that had no rain whatsoever in the forecast and rescheduled for days that were forecasted for 100 percent rain. The contractor Vince was misogynistic when speaking with me, talking down to me because I was a woman and rude. The job was priced out for a four days of labor with 2 men, then changed to only one day and a half with no adjustment on the hourly rate. When I called to cancel and find a new contractor, Vince told me I was "overreacting, unreasonable" and "good luck finding a contractor that will do the job." I found one that day and my job is completed and beautiful. However, my deposit which was sent as a direct money transfer through Zelle, has still not been returned. The job was cancelled on 5/8 and I was promised a refund by Vince for the next day. It is now 5/20 and my contractor is waiting for the last payment which I don't have due to The Honey Do Men holding my deposit, claiming it must go through several different departments and has to be sent via a paper check. My deposit was a direct money transfer. Why am I waiting 12 days and still not refunded? DO NOT USE THE HONEY DO MEN in Westchester County, NY! You will get the run-around, especially if you are a woman. read more

Where to start with my HoneyDo Men review? PART 1 I will make this as brief as I can just hitting the "high lights". My job consisted of putting a new roof on my house and tearing up my concrete garage floor and pouring a new one. The job was scheduled for two days although I expected it may take more than that. Well, the job took almost 3 months. The roof was done without much mishap. I had to have them come back and replace some siding they had taken off leaving a section of my houses wall, that we could not see, exposed. That did leak the first rain we had. Other than that, the roofing was fine. As for my garage floor, they were supposed to tear up the old concrete, level and remove dirt as needed to put down three inches of gravel and four inches of concrete. I will bullet point the fun from there. * They removed the old concrete, tamped down the dirt level then added wire reenforcement on top of the dirt. * I then asked about the three inches of gravel because there was no gravel on site. * I was told it was coming and it did arrive the next day where they proceeded to put it down on top of the wire screen and without digging any dirt out. * They then put the concrete down. * Mind you, this is three inches worth of gravel and 4 inches of concrete going into a 4 inch depth hole. * In doing this they took my cracked broken but FLAT floor and gave me a floor which was more than 7 inches high in the back down to 4 inches in the front. * On top of the very steep slope, the concrete was rippled, cratered and broom brushed with a big push broom leaving the ridges in the concrete .25 inches high. * That didn't fly, so they said they would add concrete to level the floor. * They added concrete but it was not close to level. It had waves and divots and was far from being level. I'm talking inches of difference. * They ground the floor down and added another layer. This one was pretty good. * The job was done! I thought I was home free even though my garage floor was now about 8 to 9 inches higher than it used to be. * Well once they were all gone I found two areas on my lawn covered in concrete where the workers cleaned their equipment. I had to pry that up so my lawn could be lawn. * They left my driveway covered in concrete dust and wet run-off which has stained the surface. * After this I got a dumpster to remove junk I had in my garage that had been sitting outside during the entire job. While loading it the dumpster I found three contractor bags filled with about 50 to 75 pounds each of dry, unused concrete. * Mind you I had to pay by the pound for this removal. They added at least 200 pounds to my total. * Once all the junk and trash was removed I found and 3 foot square area of hardened concrete on my driveway and the retaining wall that I still have to bust up. * Finally all is done!... except for the fact that the first time it rained, water ran into my garage because the new floor sloped into the garage from the doors. I had to buy a grinding disk For over $50 to grind those areas down sloping them outside rather than inside. Thats about it. I told HoneyDo Men about all of this and they did try to address everything except for the bags of dry concrete and the pile of hardened concrete under those bags. I told them about those issues but heard nothing back about them. I did not tell even mention to them about having to grind concrete outside the doors. Over all, they did a fine job with the roof (after the whole leaving my side wall exposed) but they should never have agreed to do the garage floor. The people they hired the first two tries had no idea what they were doing. Nightmare three months. It took three months because they rarely had anyone here more than one day out of three. Thats the "highlights". The short version. Oh, one more thing that was in the contract: they were supposed to remove and replace any rotter areas of sill plate. There was at least 15 to 20 feet of sill plate to be replaced. They did one maybe two foot section and just didn't do the rest even though it was brought up a number of times. Thanks read more

Darrell and his team are extremely professional from quotes to execution of the job. His teams are timely and keep everything clean and clear from start to finish. The roof was starting to collect mold and needed to be cleaned. The fireplace stacks and caps needed to be painted and caulked. Finally, the driveway needed to be sealed. They arrived on time and got the work done on the days scheduled without being a distraction to me in my home office. With the grey blacktop sealer I had them apply, I can already notice the 20% reduction in surface heat from the driveway. We had a great experience with this company. After some big storms this fall, our garage roof was damaged and leaking, as well as the vent in our upstairs bathroom. They were able to come out quickly to give an estimate and had very competitive pricing. There was a slight delay due to waiting for materials, but in 2021 with supply chain issues, it was actually done pretty quickly. The work itself was done in 2 days and after a huge storm this weekend, there is no more leaking so we know the work was done very well. They also fixed our stair railing that was very wobbly and now is solid and safe. read more

Beware of these folks. Very polite and helpful on the phone when selling a project, BUT just the reverse on delivery and follow up. They provided a quote for gutter cleaning, including downspout testing and clearing. I paid half up front, and they said "scheduling" would call me to set up an appointment. Instead 2 guys showed up without warning when no one was home -- but they were captured on video from our security cameras. They never tested the downspouts (one was actually clogged and still is), and they zipped in and out, apparently without ever even putting the ladder up in the front of the house. They did clearly clean the gutters in back, and left a big muddy stain on the siding. When I called to ask them to complete the work they left one voicemail saying they'd look into it, but then failed to return additional calls and simply charged my credit card for the second payment (now in dispute). I recommend avoiding these people. read more

These guys are an absolute joke. Save your time and just reach out to individual contractors. Darrell was at our house 2-months ago for a fairly thorough walk-through; Took about 2-hrs. Right away he started to quote $700 for a new Home Depot window (costs under $200 FYI) and said it would cost $7-$10K to knock down a small kitchen wall (getting it done for under $3K)..... from there I knew we would not be using Honey-Do but at least I wanted to entertain his estimate. 2-months later and numerous emails to his office and I have still yet to receive a quote, a follow-up, and apology, nothing. Seriously this guy ghosted me. I guess business is that good. Save your time and your $; reach out to local contractors who will do better work, give you a better quote, and all in a timely manner. My mother's house needed a new ridge vent and the removal and replacement of insulation. It took over a week to get the estimate (after 2 calls) that was promised to be be delivered the next day. Lori quoted $5,147.81 for the job. That seemed excessive so we did some research. My brother purchased the parts needed (ridge vent, shingles, insulation, etc.) for less than $300. We did the job ourselves in under 4hrs. A week later Scott texted to follow up on the estimate to see if we were still interested in using them. I replied how disappointed I was with the estimate and how they were trying to rip us off. Not surprisingly I received no response. read more

We had our siding fixed, some exterior painting and gutter cleaned. Our consultant Vince D was very pleasant and friendly. He came out to our home, viewed the job and gave us an estimate. I wanted a particular color for my exterior, but when Erwin and the others came to do the job, he spoke directly to me to clearly understand what I wanted. He listened and then gave me his expertise suggestions. Due to his suggestions, I was then able to make a better decision. I love the exterior painting work that was done and the fact that he found an issue, brought it to our attention and we decided to fix it made my first experience with Honey-Do-Men a great one. Warning. I used this company to clean my gutters. They did a below average job. I never agreed to nor signed any annual service contract. I would call and ask for service if I wanted it. In October 2017 I asked for a gutter cleaning in the month of October when the leaves fall. They never performed the service in October or anytime in 2017. Then I received an invoice many months latter in 2018 for a gutter cleaning that they claim they performed in 2018 when I wasn't home and I had not requested. I have sent the invoice back and informed them that I never requested or agreed to this cleaning and it was done unauthorized. They continue to send me harassing correspondence with an invoice. They are not to be trusted. Use a different service for gutter cleaning. read more

It looks unfinished. we told them we needed the job completed they ridiculously insisted that they went above and beyond by leveling them out. We refused to make full payment until they finished.
