As you drive by this place you may miss it. If so, go to the next available turn, and u-turn it around. Inside is not very large, but it has a nice bar and small shop with some cool merchandise. As you walk to the outside patio, this is where this place really shines. We went on a Wednesday and they had a singer who was pretty cool. Also cornhole league going on this evening. The food was pretty good, barbecue style options. The beer was very nice, and plenty of options depending on what your preference. Great customer service was very good, and for a Weds. they were fairly busy. Definitely a cool spot to hang out with family or friends. Great spot Summer or winter . They currently have a big tented area outside that is heated to create extra space. They even have four cornhole pits up and running in the winter. They offer wine and beer flights and will even open a can for you if there's something you want to try that's not on tap. Food is always tasty and reliable with very generous portions. We had the best impromptu evening in the tent at K2! I hadn't been since the pandemic and was floored by how they have their back space set up. Tons of tables, spaced apart, in a huge heated tent. It was rainy the night we were there and SUPER cool to watch the rain come down through the tent while I sipped on my flight. I am loving how many amazing sours there are here and just around town in general lately. K2 is a cut above the rest in terms of variety and collision of unique flavors. My absolute favorite has to be the orange pineapple sour that I got to sample. Would absolutely be my go to in the future. I also got to enjoy the Blonde Ale, Blue Razz sour, the Blackberry/currant sour (not my favorite), and the blackberry tangerine sour. The combos are so fun and getting to try them in a great environment with yummy food to boot? Say less. I love it here. Our server was RORY who is an absolute rockstar queen. I like the outdoors the best especially when the big tent is down cause they have a great outdoor space with many tables, fire pits, good landscaping, and enough shade last time I went was for the new brunch menu they started about a month ago. I got the breakfast tacos and they were jam packed with eggs, avocado, tomatoes, onions, sausage. it had a lot of flavor, wasn't dry and I was pretty full after having just two out of the three. We went to K2 last Sunday for their Sunday brunch special. It was delicious. The Bloody Mary drinks were fantastic. I had the Cornbread skillet which is their house made pulled pork served on corn bread baked in a small cast iron skillet and topped with chorizo s assuage gravy and jalapeño cheese cheese. My wife had the Pound cake French bread with Belle Hollow maple syrup and a side of bacon. We loved everything. We sat outside in the big tent at a picnic table. It was a little loud in the front section. We were in the back section which is quieter. Service was great and they were friendly and very attentive. This is a great place for a group of friends to get together, couple or by yourself. Never been here before tonight. Great place! Friendly, awesome beer selection. I was in town for the night to attend to some family business and this provided me with a new perspective on the craft brew scene in Rochester. Standing out from the crowd of beers were the Jalapeño Cream Ale and the Blue Razz Sour. Very distinctive tastes. I opted for the Blue Razz for my takeout 32 ounce can. The bartender let me sample a few beers and they were all interesting. The hostess/ merchandise salesperson gave me the treat of the night when she gave me a half NE IPA and half Blue Razz Sour. I really enjoyed K2 brewing! I was visiting a friend in Rochester and they brought me to the brewery for brunch. The food was pretty good, nothing majorly mind going. I would not return for the food. But the beers, absolutely! They had an option to order a flight of four beers. Lots of fun beer names like "Squish the fish." My husband is a dolphins fan so I got a kick out of that. You can also get some cans to go. Four pack that you can mix and match. I really enjoyed the jalapeño cream ale. One of the best beers I've had! I wasn't supposed to be end up at K2. In fact, due to recent health issues, my doctor has said "absolutely no beer at all. Ever." So me, my sisters, and our hunnies all ended up at K2 where we had a blast. I don't know much about beer, but I've learned I really enjoy my darker beers. K2 had a beer tasting option on their menu. Any 4 beers for 8 dollars, and a side if pretzels. Of the 4 I chose, I fell in love with a vanilla beer that reminded me of winter and almost made me wish I lived in Rochester. (Almost. I'm a native Long Islander visiting my parents over Thanksgiving). I loved the vanilla beer so much I ordered a second. The blondie beer was a popular choice at our table, although I didn't try it. K2 has an outdoor tent that's fully heated and has cornhole and other fun yard games. We stayed in the main area, which had darts and some table games and a few decks of cards. We just moved into the neighborhood and wanted somewhere laid back to check out. This was IT. Their beer garden is a dream, picnic tables, fire pits with cozy Adirondack chairs, corn hole, and the best part was the live music. Our hostess was so sweet and welcoming and excited we were there. Our server came over and knew nothing about the drinks, food, etc and then shared she's new and on a health kick so she couldn't really recommend any food. Not what we were hoping for, but that's okay! The atmosphere was great and we can't wait to go back and meet up with some friends for drinks. There's a reason this place is a staple. The outdoor atmosphere is perfect here. Big open patio space, some fire pits, market lights. Even places to get away from smaller humans. Nice and large selection of beers with some funky and interesting ones, including sours which I love. Reasonably priced and the service is very friendly. The last time we were there the server stood on a chair to take a proper picture of our whole table. The food is also good (the poutine has beer cheese, the steamed buns are good too.) Love that there's a lot of space with the tent (although it can still get super packed !) Just updating my review to reflect five stars. Went back to visit again recently and brought my sisters and family. It has only gotten better! Walk outside to another bar area, high top tables, picnic benches all around, nice little cozy sitting, and a wooden swing to sway in while you watch the activities around you. They not only have corn hole, but they have a corn hole league! Play giant Jenga, connect, or other fun games. Went there with my sister's family and my family. It was great to have a place to bring the kids from ages 4-15 but none of the kids liked the choices for kid's meals. The chicken tenders were highly seasoned, I believe with shake and bake. They were so salty even kids didn't want them. The nacho chips were stale. I would not go back. Really good brewery with an excellent outdoor area. Plenty of socially distanced seating in a beautiful outdoor space along with some games, too. We came in at a quiet time early afternoon and the outdoor area was empty. Inside was kind of hopping, but we always choose outdoors during COVID. We liked the time we spent and while we didn't eat, it seems like a very good menu. We tried a mix of beers in 2 flights and they were good. They do a nice job in their sours and their IPA's were also well done. I really don't care for their pepper style beers; like not even a little although I do give them credit for being up for charging it up and a dynamic effort. We will be back! Do you know exactly what I needed during these crazy quarantine times?? A cocktail in a bag that I can stick a straw in and enjoy it like a juice box on my couch while I'm watching Impractical Jokers reruns. Apparently K2 read my mind because they did just that! My husband saw them on Facebook and asked me if I wanted them because they were $10. I just looked at him, and he knew the answer! I tried both just because; Peach of a Beach and Blackberry Bourbon Smash. They were both pretty strong and easily worth $10. I preferred the Peach one. I personally don't really like bourbon, but tried it anyway. It was fine, but had a strong bourbon taste. I went back myself and got 2 more the following weekend. You drive up, give them your order, and they bring it right back to you car. The guy working that day told me it's equivalent to 2 cocktails in one pouch, so that's probably why they were strong enough for me. I may have always drank the pouch in one sitting... ;) I love to go to a restaurant and get a cocktail or 2, so the to-go cocktail concept has been great for me. I stopped in with some friends on a Friday night at 6 and this place was hopping! I was glad to see them doing well, and after trying a beer and some food I easily understood why. The bar is in the center of the room with chairs and tables around it. We sat in a booth a bit further back and I liked that it was away from the crowd hanging around the bar. The noise level is high, but it wasn't a bother since obviously a bar on a weekend night is going to be a bit noisier. I got the Winter Warmer (Scotch ale base with vanilla beans, cinnamon sticks, tart cherry juice, and maple syrup from Schoff's Sugar Shack in Victor) and it was one of the best beers I've ever had. I loved the robust flavor. Winter Warmer is the perfect descriptor. I might even go back for a $20 growler. We split the pulled pork fries and they were delicious! The partnership with Midnight Smokin' BBQ is perfect, since their food is great with beer. The fries were perfectly crispy and held up well against the pulled pork and sweet barbecue sauce. The slaw was great too since it added crunch against the soft fries and pork. Everything came together perfectly. I really liked K2 Brewing and will definitely be back. After 3 visits and many beer to go orders, finally a post. We have dined outside twice right after Cuomo allowed outdoor dining. The patio has a nice layout with hightops low tables and adirondack chairs. The landscaping is well kept and lights illuminated the trees. There are 2 beer coolers in the entry way. So grabbing cans to go is a breeze. We stopped in Friday night Easter weekend to a full bar and the outdoor tent had about 20 guests listening to a performer. All of our beers were amazing, Im never disappointed . The wasabi peanut butter cream ale and Marshmallow Blue Razz were my favorites. Sitting at the bar indoors was much different than the summer patio. We never got a text from the hostess for a table so after 50 mins we asked for menus from a bartender. Then asked twice to order food. The buzzer went off pretty quick and we grabbed our sandwiches from the food counter. The K2 burger is a half pound with fresh toppings. The Cuban needed some more pickles and had amazing pressed bread. It was off putting when we asked for silverware and then sauce, to Go to the Expo, by a female bartender. Throughout the evening the male bartender never stopped moving! While the ladies were on their phones quite a bit and didn't acknowledge us after the first round. The male bartender deserves a raise! This place is kind of amazing! I was so impressed my first visit that I came back the following weekend. The first time was kid free (woohoo!) with my hubby and some friends. We went back the following weekend with our friends and our kiddos. Both times were equally fun! Their back patio area is awesome! They have several games for the kids and adults to enjoy such as large jenga, large connect four and corn hole. Plenty of things to keep the kids entertained plus, the kids just play with the other kids there too so it's a win, win in my book. There's also live music on Friday nights with warm fire pits that you can sit around and enjoy the tasty food and beer. The food is delish. We've tried almost everything on the menu except for the brisket. It's so popular that they run out fast so if you want to try it make sure you show up early. Their tacos are amazing, the pickled red onion and jalapeño aioli add great flavor to the chicken or pork. They also run specials of the day too. The kiddos have their own menu but I don't recommend the pizza on there, it's just naan bread with sauce and cheese and the cheese was hardly melted - my kids wouldn't eat it. If a kid says no to pizza then you know it's not good...They did however love the chicken fingers and fries, so did the adults. :) And last but not least, the beer! I will be honest I'm not much of a beer drinker but, my hubby is which is why we initially came here. He loves all the IPAs here and last time we were here he purchased a growler and a couple of four packs. They offer flights which is a great way to taste all of their beers. My favorite is the strawberry cheesecake, it's an IPA and I'm not usually a fan of IPAs but it's SO good and doesn't taste like other IPAs. I tried their version of a mule, and it was a little tarte, coming in a short cocktail glass. I also tried their pale ale, and it was light and refreshing. They have specialty beers each month, such as strawberry sours, brownie porters, etc. If you are a frequent flyer, join the waiting list to be in their mug club. The pottery pours show your loyalty, and you can try releases for free each month with them. With the special number on the bottom, you are the only patron that gets to sip out of your mug. The beer garden is pretty awesome, with lots of tables, and a mini stage for entertainment when the weather is nice. You will get whiffs of the meat on the smoker, enticing you to order some of the grub. I had the smoked pork tacos, with fontina cheese. They didn't disappoint. My wife had 2xIPA which she enjoyed, but I being the brave one tried a recommended sour that had habanero and mango flavors that really hit you with a variety of tastes all at once but distinct. I'll be appreciating that one for days! The service system is really unique, but it works. I think it is the product of rising labor costs that there are bartenders who take both your drink and food orders; they give you your drinks and a pager and you pick up your food at the kitchen window when it buzzes. Seating is at the bar, hightop tables, low table, and a variety outdoor seating including picnic tables. Very casual throughout. We had a burger, steak sandwich, fries, mac salad, & onion rings all of them being way above average for bar food. The menu is varied to suit everyone. Bartenders were attentive, not keeping you waiting and suggesting a tab be opened if you are having food + drink. Prices are reasonable. A suggestion: If you approach from the west on Empire Blvd, it will be on your right. Leaving, turn right so you don't have to make a left across a notoriously dangerous four lanes. The bread retained softness while toasted topped with well caramelized onions and thicker pieces of browned beef. The beer cheese was the best topper paired with provolone. Get this sandwich! I have been working my away around the Rochester craft brewery scene lately and K2 was my latest stop. They have a relatively small indoor setup, but they also have a humungous outdoor tented area perfect for distancing during covid. We tried a few flights for our first visit and enjoyed the majority. They really have an eclectic list, so it was cool to try all their more experimental flavors (think key lime pie sour, Fireball kolsch, pineapple tangerine milkshake IPAs) along with more classic brews. Also got their onion rings, which came with a huge portion and beer cheese for only $6. I think this is one of the better brewery options in Rochester and possibly the best for social distancing. This local brewery has quickly become a hot spot and I was excited to check it out on my next visit to Rochester. The draft list is seriously impressive, with new beers continuously being added into the mix! I really enjoyed the S'mores Imperial stout, Smoothie Sour with Blueberry/Raspberry & Maple/Brown Sugar Oat Cream IPA. They did a great job of extending the tented area to accommodate more guests. The bartender was very nice and extremely knowledgeable, he was able to walk me through specifics on individual beers. The bar was large and spacious, they had plentiful food and beer options. While I was very impressed with these two features, the beer missed the mark for me. They weren't bad by any means but they weren't great either. We decided to stop in for a late lunch on a Saturday, and to our surprise we were seated right away! There was a good "crowd" socially distanced at the bar (plexiglass in between groups) and then the huge heated tent in back with tables. I witnessed more than once a worker scrubbing down a table and seats once people left before new customers sat, so that was awesome. But now to the important part - food and beers! I started off with the Winter Warmer (warmed my soul for sure!) and my husband had the Raspberry Vanilla milkshake. Both were so delicious and we also had ordered chips for 2 with a small portion of their Buffalo chicken wing dip. It was perfect to settle our rumbling tummies but not ruin our appetites for the main deal! I had the egg and sausage on a waffle bun with French fries. The menu said fried egg, so in my head I thought the yolk would be cooked, but it was easy fried (is that a thing?) not a game changer, I scraped the runny yolk part off (see my picture!). Anyways - this sandwich was LIFE! Sweet and savory, so delicious and a perfect brunch meal! Their French fries are also some of the best fries I have had in quite awhile! Almost like beer battered fries? Nick had the fried chicken sandwich with fries and let me have a bite (for Yelping purposes only ) and my oh my was it delightful! It had a spicy Mayo, pickles and the chicken was perfectly cooked! We ordered another round of beers, which I had the Atomic Fireball Kolsch (pictured) which also warmed my insides, and Nick had the Pineapple Jalepeño Cream Ale! For a small craft brewery it is very comfortable and accommodating. Yes they have a nice sized bar area for sampling their great variety of beers. With 20+ taps of various brews & ciders there will bill something for everyone. I recommend the flight of four to sample (it comes with a little cup of pretzels in the center which is a nice touch). I'm a mostly IPA and really enjoy the straight NE Ipa bit their sours are excellent. A verified venue on Untapped makes it easy to find what tickles your taste buds. What separates them from some other small craft breweries is the kitchen that serves up some tasty selections from appetizers to hearty bar fare. See my pics for a few examples. Another distinguishing characteristic is the outdoor area. Adirondack chairs, picnic tables, private areas and fire pits. This doesn't end as the seasons change, in the colder times it's a fully rented area! Outstanding! I live on the other side of the city from this place, South West of the city but the expressway gets me their in less than 30 minutes. The entrance will sneak up on you as it's just after the bend on the right when you are headed Northeast direction and you need to patient and make quick decisions when leaving if you are taking a left because of the 4 lane highway but if you want, take a right and travel a bit up the hill and tackle it there. When I had friends travel up from North Carolina and they said they wanted to go to a craft brewery on the east side, I took them here and they were very happy and impressed. They even grabbed a few four packs to take home. These two brothers have a great set up for some delicious beer. read more

I thought this brewery was great. The bartender was super knowledgeable and friendly. The flight of 4 beers is $8 and it comes with pretzels to cleanse your palate between tastes. This is something I've never seen before so that was pretty cool. This location is a little out of the city so it had an amazing outdoor space. It was the middle of a huge snow storm when we were there but I can imagine this is the place to be in summer.
