My dog had been coming here for around a year and we have had 2 situations where he was bitten by other dogs. Both times my dog was labeled as " aggressive" . I asked what behavior did they label as aggressive and their exact words were he barked too much and that made the other dogs bite.. I asked the manager, but hey, "wouldn't that make the other dogs the aggressor since they're the ones doing the fighting and injuring my dog didn't even bite them back retaliation" ..she said nope. So a dog that has never bitten or snapped at a staff member or other dog and the one thats always bloody and injured is the aggressive one? On what planet? If the staff members thought my dog was being overly barky and annoying other dogs, why not put my dog in a time out?Where was the staff? What do we pay for? We let the first time go because we thought Shit happens sometimes.. can't let the second time go.. and yes, both times my dog had to be treated at the vet with huge medical bills.. actually in the vet parking lot this as I'm writing this waiting for my dog to be brought out of recovery to have his wound treated. I honestly would not take my dog here if i cared for them at all. I believe they are understaffed and they don't have the ability to keep an eye on the animals properly ‍.. And all the staff has basically done is say my dog is at fault, even though he's the one that always ends up hurt and full of blood. Took my pet here last minute when my family had to leave down. As he's only a 14 lb mini doodle we opted for the small which is suitable for dogs up to 20 lbs. They have larger "crating" style rooms and if you're feeling fancy you can go for one of the premium rooms that features a TV in it for your pup. We paid $42 a day and the food is included. They have a contingency plan for pups that are feeling homesick and opt not to eat, where they will boil chicken and give other items to get your four legged friend to eat. They also give baths to dogs who stay for a minimum number of nights and bathe the dogs again prior to pickup. My little Harley returned as his usual, friendly, hyper self so that was good enough for me. read more

Although Yelp asked me to keep in mind businesses are struggling with covid before writing my review, k9 resort did not take into account that we have been dealing with long covid and had to cancel a trip planned in January due to our inability to fly to Montana. I was charged over $270 for cancelling for the week of July 4 a month in advance. Plus their recorded message stated that there is a wait list for that week. So obviously the week we cancelled would be filled at no loss to them. We were issued a store credit. Not a refund to our credit card. This way we are forced to use them again or lose the money completely. Tho it is a nice facility I can't recommend them. I had to search through 8 pages on their website to find their cancellation policy. It is not included in any confirmation emails. Proceed with caution read more

I brought my dog here for daycare. On day 2 he came home with two injuries. One being a hole in his shoulder. I cleaned the would and two days later it was infected. His should blew up and filled up with fluid. My vet had to put him on antibiotics and an anti-inflammatory. Unfortunately no one watched him close enough to avoid this. read more

I wish I could give this place zero stars. Most of the positive reviews you see on here are most likely regarding the doggy daycare. If you are planning to board your furbabies, DO NOT come to K9. Don't be fooled by their luxury exterior and their allegedly top quality service, reviews & care for your dog. They sold me on the nice tour & offered special services so I felt comfortable enough to book 10 nights with K9 for my 2 puppies. They've never been boarded before so you can imagine how stressed and anxiety-ridden I was on the days leading up to the boarding. The 1st rep there that gave me the tour made it sound so reassuring to know that they would be in good hands. They didn't allow any fabric or personal items which I understood but the rep told me that they could possibly add a blanket since they might be cold. When I dropped them off, the employees quickly took my dogs in & wouldn't allow me to go in with them since it was "feeding time" for the other dogs. I provided the front desk rep (not sure if her name is Holly or Denise) with all of their prepped food and instructions but felt so uncomfortably rushed. I also brought a blanket since the 1st rep told me that was possible, but she was adamant on the no fabric rule. After I left, I just had a sinking feeling because I wasn't able to see them go in their luxury suite & get settled. I decided to come back 2 hours later to check in & the same front desk lady was super rude, stating that they usually don't let people come in. I found it so off-putting & shady. I literally just want to see with my own eyes if they were settled in okay. She gave me a hard time about it & with an attitude, reluctantly allowed me in to see them in their room. I found the room dark and their was food in their bowls but they clearly were so scared to even eat. I asked why the lights were off & she stated since they were just outside & this was to calm them down, which made no sense. They also had plastic tags with their name around their necks (my dogs don't wear collars). I left & sat in my car feeling super shitty so I went back inside & asked to remove them immediately. For a luxury place like that & for the amount of $$ you pay, you'd think that they would accommodate you & make you feel at ease. This place did the opposite & I had a total breakdown. The front desk person (elder lady) has such a condescending manner, she will make you feel like an idiot. She has no place working in the pet industry or any place related to customer service. I lost my $500 deposit but I couldn't care less because my peace of mind & the well-being of my furbabies is worth it. Thankfully, a good friend of mine agreed to watch them for me instead. 100% DO NOT RECOMMEND K9 Resorts! read more

This place has absolutely gone downhill, the staff is inexperienced and lack the knowledge of how to care for and entertain large breed dogs. Find another place if you have a large young fur baby because they do not want to entertain them, they just want your money to keep your fur baby in time out. It is sad because a bad employee can destroy the integrity of an establishment. Then when your dog is injured by another dog, most likely because they're lacking supervision the facility doesn't want your fur baby there anymore. read more

I use K9 for my 18 month goldendoodle on a regular basis The place is immaculate and smells good and the staff is very professional. My Chase loves it there, the only thing i would like changed is being able to see him during the day either via pictures or a web cam and i would be willing to pay for it. Have brought my puppy here a few times when we've needed to go away for a night or weekend. Overall good experiences. Pros: - Not much more expensive than other typical kennels we've seen - The ability to sign up for daycare or private play while staying over is a great addition. - Pup comes home VERY tired after even just one night there which is nice when we're also exhausted from vacation. Cons: - Earliest drop-off on Saturday is 9AM, wish we could check-in around 7AM. - Have to pay extra for your own food. Typically dogs are not recommended to switch foods so this one doesn't make much sense to me as staying in a new place is stressful enough on a dog. - Have to pay extra for a bath if staying more than 1 night...I would prefer to bathe him at home for free. read more

We just booked the second stay for our pup. We're very happy with the service and accommodations for our fur baby. First time he came back home happy and clean. Making reservations is easy and I felt very comfortable leaving him there while we were gone. He was fed their food, washed before returned to us. The manager Holly hung up on me after I asked for a refund because my dog was unable to stay at the resort due to his anxiety and his size. (He is an English mastiff and I told them he is a big baby) I was not aware of his anxiety and within 1.5 hours after dropping him off, they called and told me he broke the door to the room (this is why companies have insurance) and they were not able to board him. I understand him not being able to stay but It was VERY unprofessional of Holly to HANG UP on me after asking for a refund. read more

K9 Resorts came very highly recommended to me through word of mouth at the Doylestown Dog Park. The facility is immaculate and my dog really seemed to enjoy her visits there. Unfortunately though, she will not be returning as I was treated VERY RUDELY by the two women at the front desk when I picked up my Golden this evening. After bringing out my dog, I stood at the front desk, wallet out, for at least two minutes while the two women busied themselves. There were no other customers in the lobby and I was confused as to why neither would check me out. Finally one of the women asked me in a very curt tone if there was something I needed. I happily said that I wanted to pay and the woman behind her told me that they had my credit card on file and I told her that I had never given her one because I pay in cash. Neither offered me any apology for keeping me waiting. Again, both were incredibly rude and dismissive. ZERO customer service and will share my experience with my dog friends in my local community. read more

Completely disappointed with K9 Resorts. My puppy was bit and it was completely covered up. The owner didn't seem to care either. Understandable dogs get scrapes and cuts, but this was a large puncture bite. There is no way this could have been missed by a staff member if dogs are "monitored" and even so blood had to have been around. Beautiful facility, but a terrible way of running a business when they do nothing to own up and correct the problem. read more

My puppy has spent a weekend here and also a day in day care. He can't tell me if he likes it but he seems happy and tuckered out when he gets home. The staff is very friendly and the facility is immaculate and even smells great in the lobby. You wouldn't know it's a hotel for dogs! I needed to make a last minute cancellation for another weekend boarding due to cancelling a trip and they didn't give me any trouble. Our deposit will be kept on our account as a credit for next time which is terrific. It's very relieving to find a place you can trust when you plan a trip. I do wish they opened a bit earlier as it would be more convenient for day care drop off to do it closer to 8 or 8:30 since most start work at 9. Also, it would be great to have a doggy cam in the day care area or if staff would send pics like some other boarding places do. Or a report card letting us know how his stay went. I do call to check on him and the staff always happily checks on him for me. These are just some ideas to improve an already great concept! Overall, we are very happy so far! read more

This K9 resort just opened in Horsham, right on 611 just south of the Willow Grove Naval Air Station. I stopped in for a tour and met their incredibly friendly staff. I booked both my dogs for the doggie daycare and swim lessons. Yes, swim lessons. They have one of the most beautiful indoor pools that I've ever seen and it's for dogs. This is truly a luxury pet resort with out the resort pricing. The guy running the show is named Rob. He was so very courteous and friendly, I was instantly sold. He told me about the multiple dog discount and their required dog baths. I'm so happy that I found this place and that they are so close to me. YOU HAVE GOT TO GO TAKE A TOUR!!!! They have a variety of different room and suites for your pup including luxury suites with beds, toys and even TVs.. The best part about this place is their fenced in, outdoor play yards. I am not kidding when I say, you need to go see this place. Have a Yelp-friendly day! read more

Our dog stayed at K9 Resorts in Horsham while we were away for a week and we had a wonderful experience! The owners are very nice and the staff was so friendly and accommodating. They seem to all genuinely love dogs! We took a tour of the facility prior to booking (which I loved that we had that opportunity) and it was very clean and quiet and smelled great. It really felt like a hotel, definitely not like a kennel. It is very reasonably priced! When we picked her up she was happy and appeared well cared for. What I love about this facility is the fact that the dogs are in daycare together all day long and not in a cage like another facility we used in the past where we had to pay extra everyday for just an hour or two of play time. She adjusted very well when she came home and did not seem depressed like the time she stayed elsewhere. I highly recommend this facility and will definitely book her there again if we travel. read more
