They were great with my dog! I had a family emergency, and they were recommended by my vet. Are they strict with getting required information, yes, but this is only for your dog's safety. They sent me a report card for my dog while he was there, I loved it! It was my dog's first time at a kennel, and I plan to use them again, if I need a kennel! read more

Used this kennel several times and while I liked the way my dogs were treated, I was treated like an inconvenient idiot who was not caring for my dogs properly. I was talked down to and insulted. If you don't care how YOU are treated, feel free to use this kennel. The owners are very foolish......there is a lot of competion in the kennel business.....I choose NOT to spend my money where obviously my business in not welcomed. They put you on hold for 10 minutes EVERY time you call. Act like they have no interest in booking your dog's stay. Used them years ago was treated rudely, tried again, still treated like crap. Worst customer service. I guess too busy to care. read more

Our pups have been staying at Sundance for years...they actually get excited as we approach leaving them off...We have never found a better kennel...The price is very fair and the choices for care is exceptional...a vet and hospital is available for emergencies and most importantly the staff and management are simply tops...Attention to detail is remarkable. We drive 45 minutes to go to Sundance and pass many alternatives by as there really is no comparison.... Rave! read more

Being new to the state, it was difficult to find a good place to board my two bull-terrier pups. After good research and reading reviews, my husband and I checked out Sundance Kennels. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the staff and given a tour of the premises, services and options for boarding. After checking out two other boarding places in person, we decided to board out pups here three months later. Sundance Kennels is a great place to bring your pets! The kennel has long runs (inside and extends outside) that keep your pets safe and warm. The grounds and facility are well-lit and very clean. The staff is kind and show compassion towards your pet and whole family. The staff also has many years of experience and demonstrates great knowledge for what they do. For my pups 5 night stay, we were able to bring all their toys, blankets and bowls to play with. We also chose the option to receive emails and pictures of each pet every day that were always great to see! Sundance Kennels is a great facility and is HIGHLY recommended! read more

The experience that I had at Sundance Kennel was truly the worst experience that I have ever had as a consumer. When you board at Sundance, you have to call when you arrive due to COVID protocol. Since I was early for my 10:45 drop off, I let the car in front of me go in, I did not want to be disrespectful because I guessed they were busy. I called at 10:30. Since I was in my car for 20 minutes and on hold for 10 minutes in 90 degrees temperature, I was concerned for the dog that I was taking to board with Sundance. When the owner picked up and told me I would have to wait, I tried to tell the owner what I was going through. She called me rude and threatened not to take the dog. She let me know that she was running behind due to another customer being late. Also, she was short handed due to lack of staff. I did not have a problem, but I wanted to let her know what I was going through. I was fearful for the dog if I had to wait a long time. The owner never gave me a chance to tell her what I was going through. This would have not been a problem for me if she would have told me in a respectful manner about the delay and let me talk. I apologized and she agreed to take the dog. When I took the dog to the kennel area, I asked if I could talk. She told me "no." . As an adult, I felt the owner should have handled this more appropriately. When the dog's owner picked up her dog, I found out that I was banned from her property. I did not yell at her or use inappropriate language. In my entire life, I have never been banned from anyplace. While they are good with dogs, the owner has little respect for customers. I had been with my prior kennel for 20 years and never had an issue. Unfortunately, they closed. After this incident, I discovered many other kennels in this area. read more

We are very satisfied customers! We are regular customers, and have been using Sundance for our 3 large dogs for over 13 years. Kathy, the owner, is thoughtful, considerate and has always been upfront with us, especially when it comes to boarding senior dogs. Over the holidays, we boarded Kody, our 14-3/4 year old wired haired pointer. A week into our ski vacation, we received the phone call - from the kennel, as well as our local contact - that Kody was not doing well. Sundance immediately recognized the emergency, and right away took him to our vet. We made the very difficult, painful but necessary choice after speaking with our vet. Regardless of the outcome, we stand behind Sundance' policies concerning senior dogs, and look forward to continue to be regular customers. read more

I personally am convinced this place is evil. When my dog was here for a couple days she came back and started to bark all the time, which she has NEVER done and she's stayed in plenty of kennels and pet hotels. She was pretty hostile for a week and a half. I don't know what happened in there, but she is never ever going back. read more

Terrible communication, made reservations for 2 dogs and at the last minute they cancelled for no good reason. Had to cancel my vacation, disappointing multiple people. Don't use this kennel. Owner is dishonest and rude. Think they discriminate against older pets. read more

I agree with previous reviewer about her handling of older dogs. She refused to take my daughters older arthritic dog because of her physique and look. We took her 2 dogs to this kennel last year and it was fine. Dog looked the same then too. Needless to say vacation was ruined because we had to scramble for dog care. She also told my daughter that she should stay home with her dogs. I thought the whole point of kennels being in business is to board dogs so people could go on vacation. Buyer beware! Admission is up for debate upon arrival. She is not a pleasant person and very rude. read more

Absolutely first rate! Our dog loves staying there so much we can't even feel guilty about leaving him (and believe me, when it comes to Radar, we can feel guilty about anything. He's a permanent puppy kind of dog). He gets happy as can be when he sees we're headed there, and can't wait to get in the door. Also, the people there are absolutely the best to deal with. We have been boarding our dogs here for many years. We never had a problem. This time, the experience was very upsetting. When you board your pet, you want to have peace of mind that they will be taken care of. He was 13 years old and we had just boarded him in April and he was fine. He was also fine when we dropped him off. He was on arthritis medication so we instructed them to put it in his food. For the first two days all went well. On the third day, he would not eat the medication and the Manager became frantic. We spoke and she refused to listen to anything I had to say. So after 38 minutes of talking over me, I was finally able to make her understand that my Vet would give her a call. What else could I do, we were 2000 miles away. He did so and advised her that my pet should be ok without the medicine for a few days. The next day my dog became sick and they transported him to a Vet Hospital. I will never know exactly what happened other than he was critical when he arrived at the hospital. Maybe it was because he was getting sick but was not showing signs until we boarded him. In my opinion, her handling of the matter was unprofessional and rude. When you are away on vacation and a problem arises with your pet, you don't need someone acting this way. You need someone who shows they care about the dog and the customer. I would recommend customer service training. If you are boarding a pet that is older, I would not recommend this kennel. read more
