We had to take Clothing out of boxes and bags and dump it in a bin. All other items had to be placed in separate bins where things could easily get broken. He just stood there with his arms crossed and seemed annoyed when I asked for a tax receipt. I definitely will not donate there again. Shopping there is a crap shoot as well. Many over the top, expensive items that are incomplete or broken. Occasionally you can find a gem at a good price but rarely. I don't understand why Goodwill doesn't understand that if they price lower, they will move more product at full price, rather than people waiting for half price days or it getting pulled and taken to the Goodwill Outlet (which adds more cost).

His partner said he would have taken but the driver has final say. I think the SA driver didn't want to lift heavy furniture that day. Thankfully we have a trailer and in a few trips took the furniture to a local thrift who was happy to have it. Said best quality and condition they had seen in a while. The SA driver did scoop up the easy to carry bags of expensive clothing. Silly me I envisioned those clothes helping women getting back on her feet with SA help, something nice to wear for a job interview. Or a nice coat and Sorel boots for the winter. I remember when Salvation Army was about helping people get back on their feet. Now it feels like a for profit. Or employs the power hungry driver who will put you in a lurch because he didn't feel like working that day.

I was able to check out an aerator for a yard project I had. The staff is very friendly and it's a welcoming environment. I highly recommend this tool library.
